There are tons of options! The main thing is that the baby and mother are satisfied with themselves and each other, the time is used profitably, and the results are pleasing.
In this review, I collected reviews about our personal board educational games for children 2 - 3 years old.

Next you will find out

Our best and most beloved board games for children 2 - 3 years old

Reviews and secrets of use

In a word, our collection of board games for children 2-3 years old has been tested by time and two very fastidious users.
So why should you look again? Take advantage of our experience!

In addition to reviews, I scoured all the large and more or less popular online stores in search of such and similar games. Our games turned out to be somewhat exclusive, you won’t find them at every turn, but I still found something.

In general, such articles for me are painstaking work. I collect them bit by bit over several days. Therefore, I really hope that it is not in vain. And that you and your kids will benefit from our experience!
So. Let's move on to our reviews and secrets of use.

Where to start?
I’ll probably start with the biggest and most fabulous friends Masha and Marisha...

Games about fairy tales for children

Wooden educational labyrinths

This toy was very loved and respected by Marina. And, no less, she is adored by Masha.
True, Masha only got two.
Here's another one.

We had more of them. I remember that Marina grew up and presented a couple to some of her younger friends. Apparently, she had not yet planned Masha :)

Available: A wooden labyrinth with stories from fairy tales and wooden characters from these same fairy tales on pins that are inserted into the groove of the labyrinth (only at the beginning) and move around it.

Baby's task: Place characters in your stories
What we develop: Here you also train manual dexterity, i.e. - the same motor skills, intelligence, and attention. Well, - knowledge of Russian fairy tales, in this case. Yes, in addition to placing characters in the right places, order is also important. Because if from the very beginning you place a figure in your plot that is close to the entrance/exit, it will interfere with the others.

For what age: Masha was most fascinated by these labyrinths when she was two years old. Now she is three months shy of three and she plays them too.

But not often.

Where to find: This is an interesting question. I've seen it a lot before. At first I only found a couple on ozone: Labyrinth Farm And Labyrinth Transport.

Then I searched a little more and found it in a store called My-Shop:

  • This is what we had: Labyrinth “What do animals eat?”.
  • And so "Farm".

In general, the store turned out to be good. I think I found more than half of the games there.

"Visiting a fairy tale." Another game about fairy tales

using a magnetic board

And another board game for knowledge of the plots and characters of fairy tales. We have here about kolobok and turnip, teremok and chicken Ryaba, of course! Without her.

Good game! Masha sits for a long time and distributes the characters and tells a fairy tale.

Yes, theoretically, this game can be played on the refrigerator. It says so there. We haven't tried it.

Available: A box base with something metal inside, replaceable magnet fields with the plot of a fairy tale, magnetic characters from different fairy tales.

Baby's task: theoretically - to arrange the corresponding characters of the fairy tale in their places in the plot. There's even a picture included. But I think this is not at all necessary. You can also play.

Or you can ask your child to tell you a fairy tale.

This is approximately how Masha tells it here. She's actually a little embarrassed here :)

What we are developing: intelligence, attention, knowledge of Russian fairy tales.
And Masha also develops motor skills and solves matching problems. Initially, all the characters were on one dense sheet. And they had to be pulled out of there.
So, every time she distributes them all back to their places into these curly holes :)

For what age: This game was given to Masha. And she was probably 2.5 years old. Therefore, in 2.5. – Our child has been playing it great for 3 years!

Where to find: I found such a toy on ozone. Magnetic stories “Visiting a fairy tale”

Wooden construction sets for kids

Constructor "Fairy Tales" - Repka

Wooden construction set for 2 year olds

Masha sincerely loves this seemingly nondescript designer. And here too - about fairy tales. They are different, but in one set, unfortunately, there is only one fairy tale.

Nevertheless, this designer is very popular, despite its simplicity.

What's available: Wooden figurines of fairy tale characters and surrounding scenery.
In our case with the turnip, all the characters have Velcro in order to stick to each other and pull out the turnip.
The turnip is assembled in three parts (the third is the stand). House of seven parts.

Baby's task: arrange the characters and surroundings according to his idea of the fairy tale, and of the world around him

Age: Masha plays from two. But her house is just now starting to come together. So that.
What develops: motor skills - definitely, attentiveness, knowledge of fairy tales, ability to express one’s knowledge

Where to get it: In the My-shop store I found a whole section of wooden construction sets. Our construction set about turnips is produced by Tomik. I give you a link to the whole wooden construction kits section. You will find ours there too.

In general, in this section there are a lot of interesting designers of this type, like our turnip and such as our airplane, which we’ll probably talk about later.

Wooden construction set for children 3 years old

Logic game for kids “Airplane”

Since we are talking about wooden construction sets, here we will also tell you about our airplane.
Here he is.

From an adult’s point of view, everything is simple, isn’t it? The kid has a different opinion. Here, not only do you need to get all the holes of the parts onto the right pins, but you also need to understand in what order and which side to apply these parts.

This is serious for a baby logic game, requiring attentiveness and concentration.

What's available: A stand on wheels with pins, a picture showing a correctly assembled airplane, multi-colored wooden parts with holes

Baby's task: Arrange the parts on the pins to create an airplane

For what age: Masha has been pestering him since she was two years old. At first I simply randomly distributed the parts among the pins and proudly showed off the plane.

She more or less began to get the right plane only now, closer to three

What we are developing: attention, perseverance, intelligence, logic, fine motor skills

Where to find: I didn’t find the same colorful plane, but with the same set of parts there is a plane on Ozone, and in the same section of wooden constructors You can also choose other similar wooden toys from the My-shop store.

Matching games

A game of intelligence and attention

Mini-puzzle "Family"

Good game. This is a small box with picture cards. Masha gets it often. Fussing with pleasure

Available: Cards with pictures of babies, moms and dads. Here we have a human family in one copy, and all sorts of bird animals. There are domestic ones, and there are wild ones.

Baby's task: Collect all the families shown on the cards.

Each card has a connecting bulge and a slot, suitable only for cards for relatives.
Those. A cat mother will not be able to adopt a lion cub without the use of brute physical force :)

What we are developing: motor skills, attention, knowledge of the surrounding world, intelligence

For what age: Masha has been playing it for a long time. I think about two years old. At first, of course, it didn’t work out very well. Sometimes I got angry. And now she’s playing - yesterday I met her assembled on the floor in the bedroom.

Where to find: It was the easiest thing to find! I was really happy. Here game Family on Ozone, and this game Family in the Labyrinth.

How to learn to count? Domino "Numbers"

Counting game for kids

Also a matching game.

We play it often. And here we cannot do without the active participation of our mother.
And at the same time we learn to count.

Available: Ten large wooden cards, divided into two parts. Each card, just like in the “Family” game, is divided by a certain bulge and notch. At the top of each card is a picture depicting a certain number of objects, at the bottom is the corresponding number.

Baby's task: Match the parts with the picture with the corresponding number. Well, learn to count at the same time.

How we play:

I take all the numbers for myself

and Masha all the pictures.

And so, she takes one of the pictures and counts. He comes and tells me:
- Mother! I have two lions! I need number two! (I’m idealizing this, of course. Masha says something like “Mom, give me two!”)))

And I give her the number two. Masha checks whether the number two matches her lions.

If they come up, it means you counted correctly! Well, if not, then let’s recalculate.

For what age: We have been playing according to the specified scenario since we were about two and a half years old.

Where to find: Here they are! It... Domino... Domino "Numbers" on Ozone.

Oh, and I searched! Haven't found it yet back side boxes with an inscription stating that these are Domino “numbers”.

Magnetic games for kids

Eh, but in our time...)))
No. It wasn’t just paper ones!

I remember I had some kind of plastic person... My parents hid it in the closet, and I found it. I say:
- Look! What did I find!
And they told me:
- And this is Santa Claus, when he came, he accidentally waved his sleeve, and the doll fell out of his sleeve!
And how I climbed onto the closet... However, somehow. Like all seven-year-old children, probably...

Yes, sir. Let's return to the toy. Everything is clear with her, in my opinion?

Magnetic doll, magnetic clothes. I need to dress up Lala. Well, then, it’s whatever your imagination desires.

At Masha's Lately This toy is especially popular. At two years old, no matter how long I showed her this doll, I remained indifferent.
Those. We became interested closer to three.

What we are developing: motor skills, imagination, solving matching problems, expanding our knowledge of the world around us

Where to get it: in the My-Shop there is Ours called "Change Maggie".

There's another one there too "Dress up the little mermaid" And "Dress the horse".

Which magnetic construction set is better?

Magnetic construction set MagFormers – our reviews

It’s probably worth telling briefly about magnetic constructors. We have seen many different ones.

Magnetic construction set, theoretically, is a very useful and entertaining game for a child. Only if this construction set suddenly does not magnetize, or vice versa, it is impossible to tear the parts away from each other... This can be critical for children 2-3 years old and will only cause resentment and disappointment.
That’s why I decided to leave our review on this issue.

We also have those with amazing designs drawn on the box that supposedly can be assembled, but in reality, children only assemble something that is located on the plane of the floor.
This same year we came across this option.

Of all the ones we came across, it is the most interesting and the most magnetic (it often happens that the construction set does not magnetize very well and the building falls apart), but also the most expensive. That's why we bought the smallest one - to try it.

In general, from large sets you can create miracle figures, cars and spaceships...

That's what it's called

Here the parts are very well magnetized to each other. And they demagnetize perfectly. Moreover, from this number of parts you can make a development of the house, wave it and the remaining edges will be magnetized themselves until the final construction of the house is completed.

Overall, we thought this was a good magnetic game for kids.

And, of course, they are also sold in large sets. There are also simply large sets, and there are themed sets such as “princesses” or “robots”.

What we are developing: motor skills, imagination, memory

Where to find: There’s no need to really look for it. Eat Magformers constructors both in MyShop and in the Ozone store

How to develop fine motor skills in a child

Lacing and stringing games

Stringing beads

Lacing and wooden beads for small children

Beads are a very good thing!

A baby can fiddle with beads like these for a very long time.

Not only can you string them, you can also play with them! Because a good half of the beads are also some kind of animals, fruits, or something else interesting.

In general, such things are for kids - real universal board games. He took out the box, put it in front of the child - and then he himself comes up with what kind of game he is playing today.
Maybe today it is developing motor skills, or maybe imagination, attention, or matching colors and shapes.

What we have: Laces - two pieces. Both have a thick and long wooden needle at one end. And multi-colored curly beads

Baby's task: collect beads. For myself and for my mother.

You can wear the resulting beads a little and be happy. Of course, you won’t go to a corporate event in them, although... Anything can happen. People are different. And that's good :)

Clue: When your baby starts collecting beads, be sure to tie a knot on the side where there is no needle. Otherwise, the beads will roll off and the mood will spoil.

What we are developing: fine motor skills, imagination, ability to compare and contrast
Age: we have been using them since we were two years old

Where to find: These are it beads like we have in My-shop. In general - in the section of wooden lacing - very a lot of things can be laced.

By the way! I remembered now that we also have a wooden tree, here it is.

So, for some reason it’s not very popular among us. In my memory, it was collected from us five times...

Apparently for the same reason as the cubes for older people. The complication did not do him any good...

We can also tell you the following about lacing - we also have this one

Stringing set

It is made of cardboard, therefore it is compact and cheap.

Masha sometimes turns to him. But only under the leadership of Marina. She doesn’t sit with him
Therefore, we determine his age - 3 years. Or maybe all four. I’ll tell you a secret, Marina has been seen more than once lacing up after Masha :)

What we have:

Laces, a base picture of a mushroom and a ladybug, details with holes for lacing

Baby's task: decorate a mushroom and a ladybug using details and laces

Where can I buy: Since I don’t consider this particular toy particularly valuable, I didn’t look for just such a toy. On MyShop in the section Cardboard lacing- a large assortment. Good luck with your choice!

By the way...)) Here it is caterpillar and apple, I think - ideal for children 2 - 3 years old. No more!

Comparison games

Wooden mushrooms in a clearing

Probably, all the games that are listed here can to some extent be considered games for comparison.

But the game, wooden mushrooms in a clearing, is perhaps the most authentic to this definition.

What can you do with a 2-3 year old child with these mushrooms in front of you?

At first glance, it seems like there’s nothing special. Whatever the case! You can count them, sort them, rank them, compare them, distinguish colors with them, and simply collect them in the forest!

What we have: Wooden stand with wooden pins and wooden mushrooms with grooves for pins on the leg

Baby's task: distribute the mushrooms, for example, by color, or size, or picture on the cap, count the mushrooms, or simply play with them

What we are developing: motor skills, imagination, learning colors, ability to compare, learning sizes

Where to get it: There are so many of them in MyShop 15 pieces of mushrooms. And this is exactly the case when more is possible :)

And what we have left, in my opinion, is all that can more or less be called puzzles for kids.

Well, that is. — puzzles and games with folding pictures for children.

I wanted to write about them in this article, but I see that it’s too cumbersome.

Perhaps this will be another article. - let's call it that.

This is where we will probably end our review (or rather, the first part of the review) of what a mother can do with a 2-3 year old baby if she has some urgent matters, or wants to relax and, for example, read.

Here we talked about our board games for children 2-3 years old, which develop motor skills, logic, intelligence and attention, creative thinking... However, I think that puzzles for kids also develop all this.

I hope that our reviews, based on personal experience, were useful to you and your kids. And now you know exactly which logic games, or any other games, are necessary for your kids.
The next big article will probably be an article about our board games for the whole family. We have a lot of them. And there are very unusual and interesting

Board games are our everything now!

Games for children over 3 years old are a little more complicated, but at the same time they are much more exciting! The main difference between most new games and games designed for more younger age- unobtrusive consolidation of the score, as well as training in dexterity, ingenuity and speed of reaction.

Agree that these skills are extremely useful and necessary in our time.

1. Mikado

This is probably one of our favorite games at the moment.

The manufacturer notes that the game promotes the development of attention, motor skills, and coordination. I would also add on my own behalf - the development of thinking, as well as the deepening and consolidation of numeracy skills.

The rules of the game are extremely simple - from the constructed hut, players take turns drawing sticks in accordance with the color that appears on the die. If there are no more sticks in the hut of the color that the player got, then the move is skipped. Everyone tries to keep the hut from falling apart for as long as possible. And when this does happen, the players count the number of their sticks. The one who collects them the most wins.

2. Forest fairies

“The game promotes the development of attention, coordination, and reaction,” the manufacturer assures. I couldn't agree more.

Given: cards and cubes. The 27 cards in the set depict fairies - bee fairies, butterfly fairies and ladybug fairies. They are depicted on different backgrounds in numbers from one to three. Not a single card is repeated. There are three cubes - with fairies, color backgrounds, and also dots that determine the number of fairies.

Players take turns rolling three dice at once and try to find a card that matches the combination they get as quickly as possible. The “correct” card is taken by the one who covers it with his hand first. The winner is the player who collects 5 cards faster than others.

The game is designed for 2-5 players.

3. Fishing cat

First of all, this game promotes... good mood!!! This is one of the simplest and fun games in our house. In addition, the game helps develop attention and reaction.

The set includes 4 colored fish, a cat in the form of a lid-trap and a cube.

A leader is selected from the players - he will be for the cat. The remaining players take on the roles of fish. The fish are laid out on the table with their tails facing each other. Next, there are three possible game options. I will describe only one - the presenter throws the dice and tries to catch a fish of the color that fell on the edge of the dice. If white or black appears, then the leader has the right to catch any fish. The player whose fish was caught becomes the new leader.

Board games for children from two years old

My child and I started playing board games when we were 2 years old. And this is really very cool! Thanks to...

A minimum of three players are required to play this game. In general, the game is designed for 3-5 players.

4. Games "Cheese Run" and "Carrot Race"

In essence, this is one game, but in two different versions. Don't repeat my mistake - don't buy them both, because... they are practically no different :)

“The game helps develop attention, motor skills, and the ability to concentrate,” the instructions say.

There are 2 main variants of the game (there is also a 3rd additional one):

  • 1st option - playing on a vertical tablet. Each player takes 2 mice (rabbits) of the same color and places them both at the start playing field one after another. At the finish line, the goal of the race is set - pieces of cheese (carrot patch). Players take turns throwing the dice and moving according to the number of dots rolled (from 1 to 3x). The peculiarity of this game is that when making a move, the mice (rabbits) of one team must jump over each other. The player whose mouse (rabbit) gets to the finish line first wins.
  • 2nd option - playing on a horizontal tablet. Now each player takes only one mouse (rabbit) and places it at the start. Then the dice is rolled and steps are taken. I think that the photo shows all the features of the moves of this game. The one who reaches the finish line first wins.

My daughter loves this game very much, but I myself find the too small playing fields and the ratio of the size of these playing fields and chips (in my opinion, the chips too large) not very convenient. Therefore, my opinion about this game is somewhat ambiguous :)

For this game it is enough if your baby can count to at least 3.

5. Hungry hippos

As far as I know, there are variants of the game with 2 and 4 hippos. We have a compact game with 2 players.

The essence of the game- each player chooses a hippopotamus and tries to “eat” as many balls as possible. The one who swallows the most balls wins.

The game is designed for 2 players.

6. Mini walker. Cheerful pilot

A very budget board game. Everyone can afford this!

The game is packaged. Consists of a field and chips with a die.

It's good as one of the first walk-and-play games. On the one hand, it is long enough to penetrate and go deeper into the game, and on the other hand, it is short enough for the child to have the patience to sit through the entire process.

The rules are simple - a dice is rolled and, depending on the number of dots rolled (from 1 to 6), a move is made from start to finish. Along the way there are cells with skipped turns, as well as with pointers for moving forward faster or going back a certain number of moves.

For this game it is enough if your baby can count to at least six.

The game is designed for 2-4 players.

7. Witch's Tower

This is a very high-quality and slightly mysterious-mystical walking game for beginners :)

The first theater for kids

Children's theater has great educational significance, developing cultural and moral qualities...

Develops memory and attention.

Included: a playing field made of thick multi-layer cardboard, a cube with numbers and symbols, a broom with a magnet, as well as magnetic round chips with images of cute little witches. The chips are magnetic on one side only.

Chips are placed at the start of the playing field in specially designated circles with magnetic sides facing up. Next, players take turns rolling the dice and performing certain actions. Depending on what is rolled on the dice, they walk forward, fly on a broom to the nearest square with the corresponding mark, or turn over the opponents’ pieces so that the latter cannot fly and miss their turns. The one whose witch reaches the finish line first wins.

Of the minuses of the game, which can easily be eliminated in a couple of minutes, I would note the following:

  • Firstly, There are no instructions in Russian in the box(but don’t be alarmed, it is posted on the Internet in Russian on many sites).
  • And secondly, the magnet on the broom turned out to be stronger than it should have been, which is why initially the chips were sometimes attracted to the broom with the wrong side - I fixed the problem in a minute - I simply glued a medical plaster to the broom magnet, cutting a hole in the middle.

8. About Linus

Another game with a magical twist :)

The game develops memory and teaches you to think strategically.

Linus is a little wizard who is still learning the basics of magic. And it so happened that he accidentally enchanted some of his toys. Players need to help Linus find them.

All round tokens with images of toys are placed on the table. Some of them have a magnet inside (read - they are enchanted), the rest of the tokens are ordinary. Search square cards are also laid out on the table, but they stand in a stack. Linus with an “implanted” magnet is kept at the ready. Players take turns trying to find the enchanted toys according to the picture on the top search card by bringing Linus to the tokens. If the token is magnetized to Linus, then the player, along with the search card, takes it for himself; if not, he skips the turn. The one who collects the most enchanted toys wins.

On the one hand, for this game it is desirable that the child be able to count to at least 10. But (!!!), if your baby does not yet know how to do this, then there is the following way out of the situation.

I also note that the kit does not include instructions in Russian.

9. Billy the Beaver

The game develops attention and thinking, promotes the development of dexterity.

First, a dam is built from logs of different colors according to certain rules described in the instructions. The beaver is "switched on" and installed on top of the dam. Players take turns using special sticks to push the logs out of the dam. At the same time, they must try to do this so as not to destroy the entire stack, and also to remain unnoticed by the beaver. But this is not so simple, because a sensitive sensor is installed inside the beaver and with various vibrations the beaver begins to be loudly indignant! If everything is successful, then the player takes the pushed out log for himself.

Simple games for developing memory in young children

Memory is the most important property of personality and a process taking place in the brain. It would have been impossible without her...

The first one to collect 2 brown, 2 yellow and 2 orange logs wins.

Note: actually there was 1 stick in the set, we took the second one from another game :)

10. Max - the storm of mice

Honestly, the child loves this game more than I do :)

Each player chooses a chip for himself - a tumbler mouse. Next, the players' chips take turns jumping into a hole in a large piece of cheese and end up in some sector of the field. Then players roll the dice and move clockwise (the number of dots on the dice is from 1 to 3). Based on the picture on the sector where the mouse stopped, it is determined what exactly the player must do - take 1 or 2 pieces of cheese, return the piece to its place, jump into the hole again, or move the cat onto another player’s field (and then it is he who loses the piece of cheese). Max the cat also does not sleep, but hunts mice, and if he is near the sector of any mouse, then she will have to give him a piece of cheese.

The first player to collect 5 pieces of cheese wins.

For this game it is enough if your baby can count to at least 3, and preferably to 5.

The game is designed for 2-4 players. The instructions are available on the Internet.

11. Spotted dogs

Overall the game is great! Suitable for children who have already mastered counting up to 15-20.

Cards are laid out on the table with the dogs facing up.(Note: if my daughter and I play together, sometimes we don’t lay out all the cards, because more cards participates in the game, the more more the child must be able to count). Players take turns turning the arrow on a special field. In accordance with the number that appears on the arrow, each player takes a dog with the same number of spots. When all the cards have been distributed among the players, they are turned over and the number of tiles shown on the back is counted. The one who has the most total number of tiles on all cards wins!

The game is designed for 2-4 players.

Now games in this series have become scarce.

12. Flower pot

This game also involves double-sided cards - on one side there is simply a circle with a color according to which players will choose cards for themselves, on the other there is a piece of a stem with a different number of leaves on it.

Suitable for children who have mastered counting ~ up to 15.

Cards with flower pots are distributed among the players, and any extra ones are removed. Players take turns rolling the dice and choosing a card with a circle of the color that appears on the dice. If the player has chosen a card with a stem, then it is applied to the pot and its flower begins to grow, if before the card with the stem there is a card with a head, the player returns it back, but if the player already has at least one card with a stem on the pot and he gets the head , then he adds it to the plant. When everyone has flowers on their plants, the game ends and the leaves on each flower are counted. The winner is the one with the most leaves on the plant.

34 4

Riddles for kids

Solving riddles is not only exciting, but also useful. Since ancient times...

Designed for 2-6 players.

As in the previous game, the number of cards can be varied depending on how successful your child is in counting. In addition, to make the game more interesting, with a small number of players, everyone can grow 2 or 3 flowers at once.

13. Frog races

For many people this is a game from childhood, i.e. something that has been tested for more than one generation, along with lotto and dominoes.

Develops motor skills, dexterity and logic, because teaches you to identify patterns between the force of pressure and the height of the jump, as well as between the point of application of effort, the nature of such effort and the length of the jump! Physics for 3 year olds!

To be honest, I didn’t manage to play well the first time, but after my daughter practiced a little and got a feel for the above patterns in practice, the game went with a bang!!!

10 minutes of training and voila - a ready jumper at the start.

Each player gets toys of the same color. Next, one by one, the players try to “jump” their little frogs into the large frog plate by pressing on their tails. The winner is the one who gets all the frogs on his plate first.

In addition, you can play other games with these frogs that are not indicated in the instructions (without a plate). How do you like the competitions “who will jump further”, “who will jump higher”, jumping over obstacles, diving?

This is a game that you can take on the go and even play it on the street- jumping from the side of the sandbox, jumping into a puddle, jumping over a stick, etc. And so on.

The game is designed for 2-3 players.

14. Snake farm

The game develops memory, mathematical skills, teaches you to think tactically and calculate moves..

Actually, I don't like snakes. But not in this game! Here the snakes are very friendly and not dangerous at all!

Purpose of the game - be the first to collect 6 snake cards different types - personal snake farm. And one of the main obstacles will be mongooses - snake fighters!

Cards with snakes and mongooses are laid out on the table in a circle, picture down. Each player places his chip on any of the cards. The game begins! Players take turns rolling the dice and moving clockwise. Very interesting feature This game is that you can match the number of cards equal to or less than the number of dots on the die. Due to this moment, the game turns from an ordinary game of luck into tactical game

for ingenuity and memory! After all, if the chip lands on a card with a snake, which is not yet in the player’s “piggy bank,” then he takes it for himself, and if it is already in his collection or if he comes across a mongoose, he returns the card back to the field. Did you all feel the memory element? If you correctly remember which cards both you and your opponents received, and even with the ability to independently regulate the number of moves, then winning this game is not so difficult. By the way, if the player settles on the mongoose, then in addition he will have to return the card with the previously honestly acquired snake.

Another convenient point of this game is that the number of cards used in the game can be adjusted independently, based on the number of participating players, or the child’s degree of perseverance, or based on the amount of information that your child can remember!

Colors for kids

When parents work with their baby day after day, ensuring its gradual development, they often...

The game is designed for 2-4 players.

The photo shows about half of the cards available in the game.

A game of balance, dexterity and ingenuity.

The game is quite large in size. Honestly, I didn’t expect the mushroom to be so big.

The frog is mounted on a mushroom with a spring leg. Multi-colored leaves are distributed equally among the players - each with their own color. Players take turns trying to insert their leaf into the stem of the mushroom. Moreover, this must be done so that the mushroom does not tilt too much, because in this case the frog may fall off it. If this does happen, then the player on whose turn the frog lost his balance takes back all his leaves and continues the game again. In the end, the first one to insert all his leaves without dropping the frog wins.

Designed for 2-4 players.

Last year I made a post-selection of board games for children 3-5 years old. No pictures, just a fairly large list with links to different games that may be suitable for this age. Since I reworked my posts with constructors, I decided to do the same with board games - after all, information is perceived much better with pictures. In addition, this summer I had an absolutely amazing experience with board games - in the summer at the dacha with the children of different ages we outplayed great amount various tabletops. Some games were our home games, some were just rented to us to play. In general, I once wrote about the games that we have (children’s, adults and company games simple rules), about those that have appeared since then, I will somehow write a separate large post.
And now just the list. Moreover, I finally decided to split the old post and make two new ones J Previously, in one post there were games for 3-5 years old, now I understand that there is a HUGE range of ages for games, too, so this review will be completely for little ones - 3-4 (and you can start playing some games a little earlier) and 4-5. After 5 years, almost all board games may be suitable, just simplify and adapt the rules a little. Many of the games in this post are suitable for older children, but the purpose of the selection was precisely to create a list of games that you can start playing with very young children

And sooo much of Yulia Lugovskaya (by tag) -
But again - mainly for older children and adults.
And here are her games for 3-4 year olds - http://julug.livejournal.com/176068.html#cutid1 But it seems to me that these games are still for 5 years old. Although, all children are different.....

Memory type (personally, I don’t really like this type)

Fishing can also be classified as a board game. There are the usual “classic fishing trips”. And there is where fish (or an option for very small ones - ladybugs) are located on a circle that either spins or vibrates. The fish close and open their mouths. We need to catch them. The game is not that simple. An adult will not always catch them quickly

Magic bag - good game for the little ones. Eat different variants execution

Board games for children 2 years old.

The first board games will help diversify your child’s leisure time: balance beams, adventure games, walkers, logic toys. The benefits of board games are undeniable: the child learns to listen and follow the rules, and wait his turn. Board games help in the formation of basic mathematical representations, develop mental operations, observation, quick reaction.

Today we will talk about those games that can be offered to the youngest players - from 2 years old (and some earlier); Let's discuss options for homemade and factory-made games, think about what you can save on and what is better to buy.

In Germany they make simply amazing board games for kids. And this one is no exception. Please note that this game comes in two versions: for older children and for the youngest (marked 2+).

The set includes: a crow figurine, fruit figures (4 plums, 4 pears, and 4 red and green apples), 4 playing fields (each with a tree), dice, basket and path.

The essence of the game.

The player's task: collect the fruit before the crow does.

The player rolls the dice. If a color line appears, we pick a fruit of that color and put it in a basket; if it’s a crow, we move the crow figurine one step forward (on the path); if it’s a basket, we take 2 fruits to choose from and put them in the basket.

You can purchase the game on Amazon, in joint purchases, or on other x sites.

Homemade version of the game.

This game can be made easily using available materials. For example, you can download similar images on Mom Inna’s Babyblog. For which I thank her so much! There's even a basket diagram! All you have to do is print, cut, glue on cardboard and...

If it is not possible to print, you can simply cut out circles from green cardboard to symbolize trees, and make the path in the form of an applique.

Fruit figures. You can make it from salt dough, or you can look for it in stores. For example, I found figurines in the department where they sell artificial flowers (a branch of 4 fruits - 30 rubles). Well, or, again, make it out of cardboard.

Crow figurine. I glued the images of the crow onto corrugated cardboard on both sides, and inserted the figure into a piece of eraser for stability. You can make a crow from dough

Cube. We paste over a regular cube, or make one from cardboard according to the diagram.

Shy Rabbit could be the first serious logic game with four difficulty levels.

The video clearly shows the principle of operation:

The toy is made of wood, the elements are large, like the rabbit itself. Task cards – thick laminated cardboard (30 pcs.). It should be noted that the cards are double-sided, i.e., as many as 60 tasks.

When playing with a rabbit, memory, attention, logical and spatial thinking develop.

The toy is definitely worth the money. Making something like this at home is quite labor-intensive.

Board games for children 2 years old:

According to the manufacturer, this game can be offered to children from 1.5 years old. In fact, one box fits not just one, but a whole set of 4 games!

The set includes:

2 cords with figures, 8 wooden figures, textile bag, double-sided puzzle tablet, 4 double-sided task cards, rules.

This game can be a child’s first puzzles, first lacing, or just wooden elements for free play.

In addition, you can play according to the rules: identify the figures by touch, string them on a string according to a given pattern, study the rules of the road.

The playing field, like the cards, is a double-sided puzzle that must be assembled before playing.

You can view the contents of the box and read reviews of this game.

You can only make game elements yourself. For example, draw or print diagrams for existing lacing, cutting the cards into 2 parts. Making a homemade analogue of a complete set of games at home is problematic.

Board games for children 2 years old:

This game will help consolidate knowledge about colors and geometric shapes. On initial stages it can be used as a sorter, and a little later move on to the rules. The set includes 2 cubes: on the sides of one there are figures, on the sides of the other - colors. The game has several levels of difficulty, and accordingly, the rules differ from each other, so it will be interesting not only for two-year-old children, but also for older children (4-6 years old).

Board games for children 2 years old:

Djeco's "frog balancer" is amazing interesting game on balance, logic, dexterity and coordination.

On the playing field (pond), towers should be built in the following sequence: cylinder, chip, cylinder, chip. The higher the tower, the more difficult it is to install the part exactly in the center, so for two-year-old children the rules are simplified - build 4 towers (only from a cylinder and a chip) and place frogs on top. The difficulty level gradually increases.

The whole family can play the balancer, taking turns placing the parts until the frogs are seated at the very top. If the structure falls, players start all over again.

Board games for children 2 years old:

The cost of the game is, of course, high, but it is justified by its versatility: this includes classification by color (shape, character); and cups that need to be placed one inside another, based on size; and a balance pyramid, and a walker, and a memory development toy, and lotto, and also a construction set and a tactile simulator.

Excellent review of Ludanimo with description various games presented

If you liked the game, but there is no way to purchase it, then, in principle, you can pick up small boxes of different shapes yourself (in extreme cases, glue them together from cardboard), glue them on or paint them. A set of rubber toys can be replaced with an inexpensive bath set.

Board games for children 2 years old:

The game set includes 5 educational games: IQ lotto with 54 transparent cards, 12 cubes with colored images of animals, a colorful puzzle game “I am the most attentive!”, unusual game with clothespins “Pick a Pair”, a game with volumetric numbers “Stencils”.

You can read reviews and see the contents of the box

Board games for children 2 years old:

Board game “Where is my tail?” is aimed primarily at developing logical thinking, attention and intuition in children. Instead of the usual identical pictures, in this domino game your child will have to match tails for domestic and wild animals. Pictures serve as a check: two butterflies or two bugs should appear.

This unusual lotto perfectly develops speech. The child learns to form possessive adjectives (bear, fox), describe objects (smooth, fluffy, short, long, etc.).

This article contains an overview of our favorites (among them there are various age options from 1+ to 5+) and a distribution of materials for printing 7 card games from Djeco. After leaving maternity leave, there is much less time for preparation and selection of materials for development. Meanwhile, Yana's needs for games and activities have increased significantly. Board games came to our aid.

Dinosaurs. Path to the valley

Combination of ideas appearance and the budget cost of this game (my-shop,) determines its position in the top rating.
The cheapness of the game is due to inexpensive materials - soft foam cardboard. The box comes with a set of puzzles and rules. The characters and surroundings are assembled from puzzles. Practicality makes the game accessible, but at the same time does not prevent it from being beautiful and exciting!

According to the plot, the game is an adventure game. The path is laid out from individual elements. The presence of a life scale in the game and the conditions under which lives are lost make the game special.
If, as a result of a move, a dinosaur lands on a field between two deserts (yellow stripes), it loses 2 lives. If a dinosaur falls into a valley between two green bars, its life point is restored.

For the little ones, you can discard the complications and the game will become a 3D puzzle or a simple adventure game. The game is designed for a number of players from 2 to 6 players.
The game has one drawback - the fragility of the parts. Yana has no problems with this, since she is neat and after her everything remains like new. But we couldn’t save one dinosaur from the cat 😥 . In fact, if handled with care, the game is durable enough to make you fall in love with it and play it many times.

Bunnies

Another colorful adventure game (my-shop,) - a 3D puzzle for kids. Designed for two players. In my opinion, the optimal age for playing is 2.5-4 years.
The game comes as a set of 3D foam puzzles and instructions. Instead of a cube, the set contains two squares with the number of points. The maximum number of points is 3.

Board games 3 years | Materials for printing games

In addition to purchased games, we also have homemade ones, printed from materials found on the Internet. Anyone who hasn’t heard anything about Djeco games yet should definitely get acquainted with them, at least in a homemade version. Below I will show a few of our “printouts”. Board games 3 years | Сoloformix Djeco

A game to reinforce shapes and colors. Suitable for children from 3.5 years old. Comprises:

  • set of pictures with geometric shapes different colors;
  • the playing field in the form of a matrix of colors and shapes;
  • star chips.

During the game, the child must find the shapes and colors used in a given picture and display them on the playing field. For Yana, the main difficulty was the positioning of the stars on the matrix of the playing field. I taught her to draw lines opposite the desired color, desired shape and find the intersection.

The tasks themselves of finding shapes and colors turned out to be elementary for her. Despite this, I find the game useful. The matrix is a very convenient representation of information and it is right to introduce it to preschoolers. Although, probably, we should start not from 3, but from 4-5 years old :-).

Board games 3 years | Topologix Djeco (my-shop)

A game of positioning objects in space. Suitable for children from 3.5 years old.
The set includes:

  • landscape cards;
  • the playing field in the form of a matrix of positions and objects;
  • chips with images of animals.

Purpose of the game: Place chips on the playing field in accordance with the location of the animals in the given landscape. To prevent the chips from moving around the field during the game, we provided them with pieces of adhesive mass and this turned them practically into reusable stickers.

Download Djeco

I have posted printed materials for 7 Djeco card games. Now I no longer remember the resources where I downloaded them, but I want to give a tip to a site with a huge collection of various printed games, including scans of other branded games: boardgamer.ru.
