The recipe for success, according to the developers, is extremely simple - we take the love for the 80s, which is relevant in cinema and modern pop culture, and add it all to Battle Royale.

This project looks very mediocre and the only thing that actually distinguishes it from other royal battles is the limitation of areas by squares, and not by circles. This is what the authors of PUBG initially wanted to do, but they couldn’t cope with Arma’s code, so this idea was quickly abandoned. This is where the innovation ends. You can say that the style of the 80s is also an innovation in the genre, but no. The battle royale was brought into their game with almost maximum precision, just like PUBG. Players are thrown from a plane, after which they begin to search for loot and kill each other until there is only one survivor.

The success of Fortnite is that their project is completely free. All that money can buy is cosmetics. Therefore, the project has a lot of activity. The game is not demanding on hardware, so more people will be able to try out the new mode. The dynamics here are high, unlike PUBG, in which searching for loot takes 20 minutes, but they can kill you in one second. The construction mode in battle royale is controversial. Another feature of Blackout is the presence of zombies controlled by AI. Moreover, more often than not, they don’t wander around just like that, but perform an important task - guarding top loot. Killed zombies drop ammo, first aid kits and even unique weapon(for example a ray gun). But you shouldn’t linger for the fun activity of shooting off their heads - other players may come running to the noise.

Matches go quickly, about 20 minutes each, and 40% of players die in the first 5 minutes, landing in the busiest locations.
