Elite dangerous requirements. Elite Dangerous system requirements on PC

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, HARDWARE AND PERIPHERAL DEVICES

PLATFORMS

Elite: Dangerous planned to be released on personal computers running any of the two modern versions of the operating system Windows Windows 7 and Windows 8 (paragraphs for future versions will be clarified over time).
Approximately three months after the release of the simulator (i.e. somewhere in 2015), it is planned to release a version for computers Apple Macintosh running operating system OS X(a beta test is also planned).
In the future, it is possible to release versions for other platforms and operating systems.

A test version of the game was released only for the Windows operating system.
It is planned that by purchasing the simulator, users will be able to no extra charge download any available version, regardless of what platform it was created for.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Below are the system requirements recommended to run test version simulator.

Minimum recommended system requirements:
DirectX: 11 version.
CPU: quad-core (4x2GHz acceptable minimum).
RAM: 2GB (the more the better).
Video card: DirectX 10 compatible, from 1GB of video memory:
- Nvidia GTX 260
- Ati 4870HD

Internet access: required.

Supported Operating Systems:
Windows 7.x
Windows 8.x

Since the development and optimization of the simulator is constantly ongoing, system requirements may change, including downwards.

GeForce Game Ready Driver, starting from version 344.48 WHQL supports super resolution (DSR), i.e. the ability to set a resolution in games that exceeds that specified in the technical specifications of your computer and monitor.

CONTROL DEVICES

The simulator can use at least the following control devices: mouse, keyboard, joystick.

What joystick specifications are recommended?
The simulator has 5 axes of maneuverability, including vertical and lateral horizontal movement (the so-called “strafe”), plus traction.
Therefore, ideally, a device for both hands is welcome, and for the left one, in addition to the throttle (engine control handle), it is desirable to have 1-2 more axes.
Simpler devices can be used, but this will reduce the number of maneuver options.

3D AND VIRTUAL REALITY, EYE CONTROL

The game supports: 3D modes, Oculus Rift, TrackIR5.

Supported 3D modes:
- built-in 3D rendering support for use with 3D TVs/monitors,
- horizontal stereo pair (side-by-side) shutter glasses,
- anaglyph 3D glasses with colored lenses,
- Oculus Rift virtual reality helmet.

Current issues:
- NVIDIA 3D Vision technology is not yet supported, but if it is installed, they will notify you.

Examples of videos(of varying freshness and quality) for a stereo pair and anaglyph 3D can be viewed at YouTube.

Before purchasing Elite: Dangerous on PC, be sure to check the system requirements provided by the developer with your system configuration. Remember that the minimum requirements often mean that with this configuration the game will launch and run reliably at minimum quality settings. If your PC meets the recommended requirements, you can expect stable gameplay at high graphics settings. If you want to play at quality set to “ultra”, the hardware in your PC must be even better than the developers indicate in the recommended requirements.

Below are the Elite: Dangerous system requirements, officially provided by the project developers. If you think there is an error in them, please let us know by clicking the exclamation mark on the right side of the screen and briefly describing the error.

Minimum configuration:

  • OS: Windows 7 / 8
  • CPU: Quad Core CPU (4 x 2Ghz)
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • Video: Nvidia GTX 260 / ATI 4870HD
  • HDD: 25 GB free space
  • DirectX 11
  • OS: Windows 7 / 8
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K Quad Core / AMD FX 4350 Quad Core
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Video: Nvidia GTX 770 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
  • HDD: 25 GB free space
  • DirectX 11

In addition to checking the system requirements of Elite: Dangerous with your PC configuration, do not forget to update your video card drivers. It is important to remember that you should only download the final versions of video cards - try not to use beta versions, as they may have a large number of unfound and unfixed errors.

The 400 billion stars that exist in our Galaxy were brought to life in the game Elite: Dangerous. But that’s not all: tens of trillions of planets, inhabited stations, asteroid fields, planetary platforms and satellites await players. The game is so huge that you can easily get lost in it – and that’s the beauty of it.

Elite: Dangerous – system requirements

To run the game you will need a computer with the Windows 7 operating system and meeting the following characteristics:
— 4 GB of RAM;
— Core i-5 or Quad Core processor at 2Ghz;
— 7 GB of hard disk space;
- DirectX 11 support;
— Video card ATI 4870HD or Nvidia GTX 260 with 1 GB of memory.

Limitless space

The Elite gaming series has been around for 30 years. Feature of this space simulator– this is not battles or an exciting plot, but independence and freedom in exploring the expanse of the galaxy.
As in previous games, Elite: Dangerous isn't just about flying. This is a real simulator of a full-fledged life in space. The developers have created a simply huge, generated world, the size of which is actually comparable to our galaxy - the game has an incredible number of planets, star systems and constellations, and many of them coincide with real prototypes. But this is not the limit, because the authors promise to constantly update the star map. The game looks just great: see for yourself by watching the video review of Elite: Dangerous.

What to do in the game is purely the player's decision. You can become a pirate or a bounty hunter working for the Empire or the Federation. You can explore unexplored corners game world or focus on trade. Depending on this choice, the start of the game occurs differently: a different starting star system, ship and amount of money in the account. For example, if you choose the path of an explorer, the player will find himself on the outskirts of the galaxy, and if he chooses the path of a mercenary, the space traveler will immediately find himself in the thick of battle.

Game process

Choosing a role in Elite: Dangerous does not determine the type of game. The same researcher can fight pirates, engage in trade and deliver goods. It all depends on the specification of the boat, the reputation and capabilities of the player.
At the very beginning of the game, everyone has no reputation, no money, and only a cheap ship at their disposal. You can increase your popularity by completing missions that are distributed at stations: cargo delivery, escort, rescue mission, hunt for a villain. Trade and the search for the best trade routes, bounty hunting, smuggling, skirmishes with other ships, and searching for resources on asteroids help development quite well. All this allows you to purchase a new starship or modify an existing vehicle.

Hunting others

One of the features of the game is the ability to intercept other ships that are flying on a super cruise. This can be done if you have a special “Interception Device”. Interception of ships in Elite: Dangerous occurs in the following order:
— first you need to find the trace of the ship that went on a super cruise;
- the player then needs to begin pursuit, taking into account that with a higher speed the player will have a higher chance of interception;
— when approaching a target, it is better to slow down so as not to collide with prey;
— sitting on the tail of another player, get ready for battle.

Unique game features

It is no less interesting to explore space thanks to unique features games. Advanced modern technologies are involved in space travel: in Elite: Dangerous voice control, webcam control, Oculus Rift and third party software implemented in the best possible way.

The future is yet to come

The developers are not going to stop and plan to continue improving the game. Future additions will add landing on planets, shooter mechanics, the ability to visit hangars and stations, search for artifacts, quests and much more to Elite: Dangerous.

If Elite: Dangerous does not start, check that your computer meets the game requirements and update the drivers for your video card.

Elite: Dangerous is a vast world of space, beautiful and diverse, which has yet to develop.
