We will consider the frequently asked question “how to print a topographic map to scale” using the example of the loadmap.net service and the OziExplorer program.
1. In the service, select the topographic map we need at a scale of 1:50000, 1:100000 or another and download two files: *.gif (raster) and *.map (reference).
In our example, this is sheet O-39-106 at a scale of 1:100000 (1 cm - 1 km, 100k).
2. Open the Ozi program and load the raster by selecting our binding file (File>Load Map File). The entire sheet of the map (tablet with border design) has printed dimensions of 37 by 46.5 cm, therefore, without a plotter, it is impossible to print it entirely in the scale we need. Let's go "File>Print>Print Map Image" and set the parameters as in the central window on the screen below. Checking the printer settings for A4 paper size. 
3. Press the button "Select Area" and highlight the fragment we need with a red dotted line. Click "Preview", after which a new window will open with our fragment on an A4 sheet. It won't be enough :) 
4. Allocate a larger area to achieve maximum filling of one sheet. Click "Print".
If you need the entire map, then select other fragments with overlap.
