Dragon age origins ending options. DA: Awakening Final battles and epilogue

Most RPGs bind the player to very explicit codes of ethics, defining their personal character within varying shades of good or evil. In such situations, saving someone will be considered a good deed, while killing someone will be considered an evil sin. These extreme views often do not take into account that there may be something more behind actions.

For example, players may discover that the person they saved has committed crimes for which the player will later have to answer, or that killing a seemingly innocent person could prevent the deaths of dozens or hundreds of other people. In addition, other than making such a decision, the end result for the player's party is minimal. As a result of these restrictions, the player often acts not based on his own worldview, but on the basis of a universal one, determining what is more profitable for him in a given situation.

Bioware hopes to remove these restrictions in RPGs, (and Dragon Age: Beginning) by getting rid of the “morality strip” as such. Instead, when you encounter moral issues in conversations, you will be given plenty of options and freedom to act. As a result, the player feels absolutely free to choose phrases and actions, and can act and speak based on his morals and principles, not tied to a specific “game morality”.

Naturally, the consequences of your actions will not go away, since many of your decisions affect those around the player and the whole world of the game. These consequences will also have an impact on your group, increasing or destroying their attitude and trust in you.

I will not spoil your future impressions of the game by retelling the key features of the plot and dialogues, but I will try to convey to you the whole essence of freedom of action in the game, citing as an example the town of Redcliffe, one of the locations that you and your team will visit in the lands of Ferelden. Once a thriving town at the heart of a great castle, Redcliffe had seen better days - night after night, the village was continually attacked by hordes of monsters that overwhelmed the guards' defenses.

As you and your group arrive, the city prepares for its final defense; Will the city's police destroy the monsters or will it be wiped out by superior enemy forces? The choice is yours, whether you get involved in the conflict, or continue your journey, destroying the evil that has infested the land. If you choose to leave, it is safe to say that Redcliffe will cease to exist. However, in the future you will not receive help from them, I chose to defend myself.

To complete this task, I was sent to Murdock, the mayor of the village, who has many problems. He needs strong men and any volunteers who can defend the city, not to mention weapons. However, he lacks all this: the Blacksmith, Owen, has closed the Forge and refuses to repair the uniforms or make new ones. And a dwarf named Dwyn, a veteran of many battles, has locked himself at home and refuses to come out. I had to solve both problems.

I decided to search the city, looking for these characters and other people who would agree to help. First of all, I went to look for Dwyn, who I hoped would answer the Mayor's cry for help. The dwarf was quite stubborn and refused to help anyone in the city. The conversation came down to three options a) bribe him to help the city b) intimidate him with the army, or c) leave him alone.

Owen, on the other hand, refused for completely different reasons: He refused to help the Mayor and the residents because his daughter was missing, and the search team found nothing. Again, I had several options - I could force Ower to start production, I could go look for his daughter, or I could leave him in my house so that he could drink himself out of grief and try to survive the night.

Not all the people I talked to were ready to sacrifice themselves and go guard the city. As soon as I entered the tavern in search of provisions, I was confronted by the cowardly owner, who would be very happy to make money from all this commotion and then lock himself in his house. Here I met Bella, a young barmaid who was tired of her job and the city in general.

I talked to her about her place in life, and I had the opportunity to escort her out of the tavern when the fight was over, giving her the opportunity to begin new life. This was not a strategic conversation about protecting the city, or finding recruits, but it later played an important role in the battle. I spent a few more minutes wandering around the city completing missions until I finally reported to the mayor that I was ready to fight the monsters.

After the in-game cutscene, the battle began. On the one hand, there were constant waves of monsters that my group and I killed. On the other hand, there are barricades that the military hastily erected. Here I saw the consequences of my actions - a conversation with Dwyn and Owen. If I could persuade Dwyn to join the battle, he and his two assistants would fight off the attacks in the very center. On the other hand, if I decided to leave him alone, his absence would affect the outcome of the battle and general spirit troops.

It's the same with Owen and his forge, because he opened it - the wars gained access to the best weapon, which caused more damage to the enemy, thereby raising the overall morale. On the other hand, if I had not persuaded him to help the city, the wars would have been equipped with rakes and shovels, and would not have been able to withstand the countless enemy forces.

Despite all the possible options, my group and I managed to repel the attack, which led to a celebration and an in-game video. I immediately returned to the tavern to tell Bella that I was ready to take her out of town as promised. Again, I was given freedom of choice, ranging from a simple “Let’s go” to a little impudence in the form of a kiss for the hero that I was. Needless to say, the second option raised a dozen eyebrows from the female team in my group. One lady even sarcastically commented on such a “reward” while the others watched in shock.

The approval rating, as it turned out, was not done in the game for show or cosmetic improvements. Based on how people see your character, you can get additional quests that tell their story. You can also play Casanova with other female representatives in a group. But perhaps the most important aspect is acquiring skill upgrades based on their individual abilities.

If the characters approve of your decisions or agree with you, they can receive extra skills in battle. For example, magicians can receive bonuses to magic, while thieves can receive bonuses to weapon proficiency. On the other hand, if you disappoint your party members in any way, the improvements will be lost. Not everything is so sad, you can restore lost trust by buying some items for them in the nearest store, but if you still manage to completely undermine their trust in you, they may even leave the group and never join you in looking for adventure. It's obvious that decisive decision is up to you whether you want it to happen or not. This is it key feature RPG - Dragon Age.

So, well, since this is the story, then I’ll sign off too))) For the first time I played as a nobleman, I tried to do only neutral actions, in short, I was neutral-kind. In short, everything is like many others: Morrigan has a child, who then went over the mountains, Horruman is the king (which I was later very disappointed in), Branka is at the anvil))), the curse on the werewolves is lifted, the elves, as expected, are moving away from people in order to regain their former immortality (except for the city elves - these began to live in respected communities), Alistair is the guard, the queen is Anora, Loghain, alas, is executed, the Tower of Mages is restored, in short, it would seem that everything has gone wrong, but somehow it’s still sad. ..

The second time I played as a female human magician. Hehe... I committed ONLY evil deeds - I walked through Fereldn as a horseman of the Apocalypse (and it is still unknown who caused more evil - from this Pestilence or from me, hehe). I pursued the following goal: I wanted to find out whether the plot was really as non-linear as the developers promised us - I wanted to go over to the side of Pestilence and the Archdemon, so that later I could become like Perumov’s Warrior of the Great Darkness, or even take the place of the Archdemon myself, and make him my own servant or kill. In short, nothing came of it - the plot was indecently linear. This is not BG and BG can’t hold a candle to BG, although the game definitely has its own charm and deserves attention. In essence, it is like the 1st and 2nd Gothic, where the passage is non-linear, but the end will be the same, it’s just that only those you choose will reach it. Even the 3rd Gothic was non-linear in this regard, although it does not reach Baldur. But back to Age))) By the way, I assume that it is possible to make Loghain a king one way or another (if you play not as an evil Persian - I had this option on my first playthrough). I tried to get rid of Alistair - I lowered the relationship to -100 during the game - but this is impossible, because he is a “pov”, in short, a plot character, without whom the passage is impossible. And you can't kill him, by the way. He wanted to kill Leleina, but he only succeeded in sending her to hell when she asked to join the detachment. Relations with Morrigan and Stan were +100, I didn’t have time to go get a sword for Stan, but looking ahead, I’ll say that he nevertheless decided to return to his fellow tribesmen and agreed that I would go with him. The elf mercenary, the one who could join the detachment, was slaughtered, the Circle of Mages was slaughtered, Radcliffe left the village to the mercy of fate, but, first, he humiliated them all and stabbed the blacksmith. I tried to take Yoren into the team, who secretly taught the earl’s son and who was my “friend” from the very beginning. in abilities there is an opportunity to learn blood magic, but this fagot, by the way, is too kind - a lost soul, damn it - did not want to join. I had to cut it - why the hell do I need it if it’s of no use? (by the way, if you play as a positive character, you can add him to your squad). The earl's son... - he cut out, and in the most cruel way, his mother, however, had to go over the turnip, so as not to get in the way under her hands and not "make death easier"))) Dornish elves - he cut out with the help of werewolves - he wanted to cut them out too, but nothing was learned - there was no such dialogue: (The gnome, Branka’s husband, was sent to hell. I saved the anvil for her. Yes, by the way, at the very beginning, when Duncan orders us to go get blood, we meet a wounded soldier. Well, you can guess what I did to him))) In short, in Ferelden I carried out a small genocide of everyone and everything))) And all in order to check whether real, Baldursgate nonlinearity is possible in the game. Alas, what is not there is not: (In the end, he made Alistair king, so that after his death (Morrigan did not persuade him to fuck him, but this witch turned into a wolf and left, bitch) to take the throne himself. What was my surprise when it turned out that this bitch Anora became the queen, and the desired phrase “This throne is rightfully mine! Prepare to die, bastards!” did not appear in the dialogues. Oh, yes, I forgot to say that I sold all of Elfinage into slavery. ))), but foolishly took the compromising letter from the slave trader. In vain, very in vain. It’s good that I survived in front of this place. It will be necessary to replay))) In general, at the end they wrote to me that a monument was erected to Alistair, Anora ruled as standard (that is, wisely - well, that’s what they write everywhere if she becomes queen), I was her delightful adviser, the Gray Wardens were revived - although it is not clear, How? After all, I did everything to exterminate them - Alistair died, I became the queen’s adviser, the person who stuck the sword into the demon’s back and fell from the castle tower seemed to also die... Where?.. Morrigan became the empress’s adviser. It's a pity they didn't say anything about Leleina and the gnome. Oh, I remembered again - I killed the dog when at the kennel I was offered to check its health, examine it - here’s another thing, I’ll look for some kind of medicine for it))))
In general, I will summarize. The game is interesting, exciting, but the ending is linear - in BG you could become a god, and an evil one - after all, a child of Bhaal)))
Well, the tendency of some Persians towards faggoting also strained me - in fact, this was one of the reasons why I killed the elf mercenary)))

Briala stepped out of the tunnel into the morning sun.

The white-covered earth shone, reflecting the sunlight. The first snow of this winter fell while she was wandering among the Eluvians below, and by now most of Orlais should already be hidden under it. In front of her, the branches of snow-covered trees creaked under the light breeze, and behind her lay white plains.

Judging by the trees, she was not far from Doly. She returned at Felassan's request, although she planned to reach Val Royeaux as soon as possible. She had a job.

With the help of the Eluvians, the girl could move around Orlais faster than a Chevalier on horseback, and this Chevalier would never have found her.

The winter will be harsh,” Miris shivered from the cold behind her. -If Gaspard or Selina don't stop all this, a lot of people will die.
“No war can go without this,” Felassan noted, stepping out into the light and squinting from the bright rays.
“I meant death from hunger,” Miris said sharply.
- And why does this bother you? - Briala turned to her. “Do you think the Dalish will suffer too?” Are you worried about the other clans?
“Always,” Miris answered. She looked at the trees, and Briala knew they were familiar to her. The Dalish clan lived in these places for many years. Briala wondered if Miris was going to search for survivors, bury the dead, or simply leave. Yes, it didn’t matter at all. - Just as you are concerned... Your elves.

Yes, my flat-eared ones.
Briala looked back at the tunnel entrance behind her. Even from a few steps away, he was completely indistinguishable; it was almost impossible to see him, unless you specifically looked for him. However, she knew exactly where he was, felt him as part of herself thanks to the quiet singing of magic inside her that still remained.

I'm very worried about my people, Miris. And now for the first time I can help them.
“If you told the secret of the Eluvians to the Dalish,” Miris began, “we could...
Briala laughed in her face, and the Dalish fell silent.
“Every elf in these elfinages thinks of you as creatures from legends,” she told Miris. - The elves who did not give up when Halamshiral fell. Some of them are afraid of you, some are inspired by you.

You are the elves who continued to fight, the elves who wield ancient magic. They think you are ready to help them, are busy with something more than playing with demons and hunting for old relics, and if you really helped them, you would gain an army of loyal supporters that would return Arlathan to you.
She smiled.
- But you didn't help. You decided they were no longer your people and left them to die. So I will help them. I will continue the battle,” she nodded towards the entrance to the tunnel. - I have ancient magic.
“Briala, I’m not an enemy,” Miris lowered her eyes. - I helped you.
“I have what you need,” Briala continued to smile. - And your people are my people too, even if they have forgotten about it. I will help the Dalish, but only if they help all of our people. Pass this on to the next clan when you meet them.

Miris swallowed and nodded.
-Will you accept me into your clan? - she asked Felassan.
“I don’t think you really want to meet my clan, Dalen,” Felassan replied. - But I wish you luck with those who will accept you.
“Whatever clan I join, it will have nothing to do with demons,” Miris said and headed towards the trees. Her staff shone and shimmered with the same colors as the fresh morning snow.
- Do you think I should have killed her? - Briala asked when the Dalish disappeared among the trees.
Felassan shrugged.
- I guess you'll find out soon enough.
Briala chuckled and he turned to her.
- Were you serious? You will use the Eluvian paths to help your people. Briala thought for a moment.
- Selina and Gaspard talked about the army, but that would mean playing by their rules. With the Eluvians, I can deliver food to the elven villages, where the elves are dying of hunger. They will allow me to overtake an army and warn its enemy, or get behind and attack supply lines.
- And which of the armies are you going to clip the wings of?
Briala looked at Felassan and smiled, despite the fact that she was already beginning to shiver coldly from the winter cold.
- The one who will win. How was it there? Anaris and Andruil?
“Will you prolong the fight, create chaos in the midst of which your people will be able to throw off their shackles?” - Felassan smiled back.
“I think this will work,” Briala wrapped her arms around herself. - Halamshiral rebelled because of one single nobleman. I will find elves ready to help me in every city of Orlais, and even more who are afraid to fight openly, but will easily serve as my ears and eyes if I help their children survive the winter.
“This is...” Felassan began and after a short pause continued: “Very unusual application ancient relics of our people, distant.
“I suppose Fen Haren would approve,” Briala said, and Felassan grinned in surprise.
“I could,” said her teacher. - Although I highly doubt it.
“Oh, I almost forgot,” she exclaimed. - A secret word to penetrate the Eluvians. If we split up, then...

She fell silent in surprise when his fingers touched her lips. Felassan smiled again, but his eyes were filled with sadness and wisdom that Briala could not even imagine.
- No need.
She looked at him silently for a moment, and then suddenly understood.
- Are you going.
- I must.
- Dalish?
He snorted.
- They? I beg you.
Then his face hardened.
- It looks like the elves of Orlais are in good hands. However, this is not the case everywhere, so I have some work to do in other places.

The girl nodded, although her eyes burned. It was useless to beg him to stay, she knew. In the back of her mind there were protesting thoughts: she had to find out more, she couldn’t cope without him; Briala drove them away until they gained strength. The wisest man she had ever known trusted her with the freedom of her people. And, to her surprise, she found that she had no doubts about his decision.

Then let me ask one last question, hagren. All this... - she pointed to the tunnel, to the forest, where the dead Virnen clan lay several days away from them, then to the north, where the war that could give freedom to her people was inevitably approaching Halamshiral. -Was this all your plan from the very beginning?
He grinned one last time.
- No, it’s distant. You did all this.

Felassan leaned down and kissed her gently on the forehead. His lips burned her skin, and the girl's head began to spin for a moment.
When Briala opened her eyes again, she was alone, and wherever she looked, there was no sign of Felassan.

Briala looked back at the tunnel again. She was no longer shaking. Perhaps Felassan touched her lightly with his magic to protect her from the winter cold. Or perhaps Briala was warmed by her purpose.

She whispered the cherished word, and the tunnel closed behind her, as if it had never existed.

"Fen'Harel enansal", blessing of the Dread Wolf.
She will do her best.

Final battles and epilogue
Vigil Tower Rescue/Amaranthine Rescue
Once you complete all 3 main story quests:
-Righteous path;
-Last of the Legion;
-Shadows of black swamps;
V throne room vigil towers your loyal banns will gather to discuss future plan war. In the midst of the council, an elf will burst into the hall and say that an army of creatures of darkness is moving towards Amaranthine. Your task is to assemble a party and set out for reconnaissance in force. As soon as you enter the territory of Amaranthine, you will immediately need to take up arms to kill the creatures of darkness in the refugee quarter. Once you do this, Constable Aidan will speak to you. He will report that the city has actually fallen, there are almost no survivors, and those that remain are infected with filth. At this very time, a messenger from the Architect will approach your group and say that another army of creatures of darkness is moving towards the Vigil Tower. Now you are faced with a choice of which of two strategic objects to protect. I’ll say right away that it will not be possible to save both the tower and Amaranthine. Even if you have completed all the quests to strengthen the tower and strengthen its garrison, after the battle a marker “destroyed by the creatures of darkness” will still appear on the map, although in the epilogue they will say that the granite walls of the tower survived and the garrison repelled the attack. In this case, friends remaining in the fortress may die. There are options here:
Ogren, Anders and Nathaniel will die only if you have not completed all the quests to strengthen the Vigil Tower;
Justice and Sigrun will die in any case if you remain to defend Amaranthine;
Velanna will go missing in any case if you remain to defend Amaranthine.
Your companions will also express different opinions about which objects are worth saving:
Ogren and Velanna will advocate for the preservation of the Vigil Tower;
Anders, Nathaniel, Justice and Sigrun - for saving Amaranthine.
If you nevertheless decide to burn Amaranthine, then in the epilogue this will lead to undermining the authority of the gray guards for many years, and will also cause the economic decline of Erling. In general, the choice is yours.
Battle for the Vigil Tower
The garrison of the tower and the friends remaining in it will be very glad to see you return. After this, Seneschal Varel will bring you up to date, and Captain Garevel will take over the responsibilities of commanding the garrison during the battle.
The battle will take place in 4 stages:
-defense of the main gate;
- defense of the eastern wall;
-re-defense of the main gate (during this, Varel will die; also after this stage it will be possible to replenish the stock of potions from the doctor);
- defense of the courtyard (you will need to kill the armored ogre and the last talking son of the Herald Mother).
The following types of assistance will be available to you:
-knights (if you saved Amaranthine from smugglers);
-archers (if you completed quests for smugglers and freed an elf from a cage, then this squad will become much more powerful);
-one very strong archer (Sergeant Maverlis);
-Dworken's bombs (if you completed the quest "Give me a bomb!".
All of these special attacks are reusable, but take a long time to recharge.
Once the Herald and the armored ogre are dead, the battle will end. You will be told that the creatures of darkness retreated into the mountains and left a clear trail leading to the Mother’s lair. We sell the trophies to the merchants in the throne room, gather a party and set off on the final hunt for the creatures of darkness.
Battle of Amaranthine
There will also be several stages. First you need to run around the city, kill all the creatures of darkness and save the surviving garrison. After this, talk to the head of the city guard and retreat to the church, where you will spend the night. In the morning you will be informed that there are still creatures of darkness in the city and they will give you a tip to the city hotel. Let's go find out. As soon as you leave the church, the creatures of darkness will attack you. We fight them off and go to the King and the Lion tavern. A mini-boss, a novice military leader, armed with a two-handed weapon (you can pick up a good belt from his corpse) and some children await us there. After clearing the tavern, go down the passage to the smugglers' lair, where the second mini-boss will be waiting for you. We send him to the grave and go to the surface to the refugee quarter. There will be another darkspawn general nearby. as soon as you take away a quarter of his health, he will retreat deeper into the city, and the organizational leader in armor will cover him. We deal with the giant, and then catch up and finish off the general. That's it, Amaranthine is saved. After this, you will be given disappointing news about the Vigil Tower and the location of the Mother's lair.

Last Stand
We move along the world map to the Wasteland location dragon bone. You will find yourself in a gorge infested with genlocks, garlocks, novices and children. Make your way north to the plateau. There you will be attacked by a high dragon (at that moment the creature will be completely harmless to you). We kill him and go down into the caves. Here the task is as follows: go down, activating Tevinter magical platforms along the way. Each pad is activated by four yellow crystals. Crystals can be found in chests, cocoons, or taken from creatures of darkness. There will be 3 such sites in total, each of them will give you a special spell when fighting the Mother. At the second platform you will meet the Architect again. He will tell you his plans (very interesting on the one hand). If you accept his help, you will receive the Architect's fire - the fourth special spell in the battle with the Mother, and will also seriously affect the epilogue. True, not all of your companions will like the Architect’s proposal. Justice and Sigrun may even attack you if their favor is low and you haven't fulfilled them personal quests. Otherwise, you will have to fight the Architect and his assistant Uta. After meeting with the architect, we go down to the last platform, kill another damn cloud of children (there are already adults here) and go into the Mother’s lair.
After a short conversation (if you accepted the Architect’s offer, you will learn from Mother about the true reasons for the beginning of the 5th plague, which we valiantly defeated in the Original), we begin the battle. The mother is an ordinary uterus, she just has more lives and hits a little harder. The tactics are simple: we freeze and chop the tentacles, fighting off the child larvae crawling out from everywhere, then we throw damage to the Mother with freezing and finish off with all available means. After the Mother's death, a cutscene and an epilogue will begin with brief description further events in Erling and the fate of its heroes.

After the coronation

If the Guardian did not sacrifice himself, he will return to the land meeting hall, where Alistair and/or Anora (depending on your choice at the land meeting) will give a speech and thank the Guardian, and then ask what he/she is going to do. Your decision will affect the epilogue (and possibly Awakening if you choose to import your character). Then the monarch will say that the people are waiting for their hero.

Before you walk out the door, you can talk to your friends and companions one last time (there is a bug on the console version that prevents Sheila from appearing in this location). In addition, Earl Eamon will be at the celebration if you crowned Alistair (with or without Anora). One character from your background will also appear at the festivities:

  • Background of the noble man: Fergus Cousland(Brother of GG. It turns out that his squad was ambushed, and the wounded Fergus was saved by the Chasinds. He was ill for a long time and reached Denerim only after defeating the Archdemon.)
  • Mage Background: First Sorcerer Irving(unless you sided with the templars in the quest Broken Circle and Irving survived the fight with Uldred)
  • City Elf Background: Cirion Tabris (GG's Father. If the Guardian sacrificed himself, then Anora or Alistair (depending on who ended up on the throne) will make him the first bann of Elvenage.)
  • Dalish Elf Background: Ashalle(Guardian GG)
  • Background of the noble gnome: We're on fire(Friend and temporary companion of the GG. Yesoi Guardian is going to be made Perfect, he will be his right hand)
  • Backstory of the Dwarf Commoner: Rick Broska(GG's sister. If the Gray Warden, a commoner dwarf, sacrifices himself in the final battle, Rika will come to the funeral with her mother. If the hero survives, she will attend the coronation. If Belen has become the king of Orzammar, then Rika will report that the Guardian is now a member of the warrior caste: moreover, he can be proclaimed Perfect. If Harrowmont becomes king, then Rika will win in any case: she will not be pushed around by a man, but at the same time her son will remain a member of the house of Educan.)

Gray Guardian

The consequences not only depend on the decisions the Guardian makes during the game, but also on the approval rating of the companions at the end of the game (for example, it affects Sheila).

  • Earl Eamon remains an advisor to Alistair if he becomes king. Eamon suddenly renounces Erling Redcliffe in favor of Bann Tegan, which the townspeople approve of. If the Guardian also gave Caitlin enough coins for her grandfather's sword, she will meet Bann Tegan and they will marry.
  • Earl Eamon returns to Redcliffe and restores it to its former greatness unless Alistair becomes king or the Warden becomes Alistair's chancellor. This also happens if a hardened Alistair marries Anora and Loghain sacrifices himself by destroying the Archdemon.
  • If the Guardian leaves Redcliffe during the quest Attack at Twilight, Earl Eamon renounces Erling in favor of Bann Tegan and returns to Redcliffe. However, it cannot be restored to its former grandeur due to rumors that the town is cursed.
  • If the Warden rescues Bevin, Caitlin's brother in Redcliffe, uses his grandfather's sword and brings him back, he becomes a famous traveler and tells stories that when he was little, he met a Gray Warden who used his grandfather's sword to save Redcliffe, and then returned it.
  • If the Guardian paid Caitlyn enough for the sword to allow her to leave for Denerim, she will use that small fortune to open a foundry. She becomes rich, respected and accidentally meets Banna Tegan at royal court. A few months after this they get married. This can only happen if the Guardian paid her before starting the quest Attack at Twilight, and not after.
  • If the Guardian gives Bella (from the Redcliffe Tavern) enough money to leave Redcliffe, she makes it safely to Denerim and opens her brewery there. Soon she meets Banna Tegan and marries him.
    - If you help both Caitlin and Bella leave Redcliffe and open their own business, then Bann Tegan will marry both girls.
  • If the Warden gave power of attorney to the tavern during the first Battle of Redcliffe to Bella, she will rename the inn "Gray Wanderer's Rest" and will tell stories of your adventures years later, although no one will believe them.
  • If the Guardian made a deal with the desire demon, in which the demon promises to capture Connor later, and prevented his mother, Lady Isolde, from sacrificing herself, the epilogue will say that Connor has completed his Torment and has become a full-fledged Circle mage, pursuing a formal study of the Shadow.
  • If the Guardian made a deal with the demon of desire, and Lady Isolde died during the ritual, then after some time they will decide to send Connor to the Circle of Mages. However, before the journey, Connor suddenly falls ill and then disappears. A long search will lead to nothing, and this disappearance will remain a mystery.
  • If Connor is saved and the demon of desire is killed or intimidated, the boy may be sent to the Circle of Mages. After he completed his Torment and became a full-fledged magician of the Circle. At his father's urging, he accepted a position in Tevinter, where he began studying the Shadow. This will happen if you allow his mother, Lady Isolde, to sacrifice herself to perform Jovan's blood ritual.
  • If Connor is saved and the desire demon is killed or intimidated, Earl Eamon will simply note that Connor was acting strange. This will happen if his mother, Lady Isolde, also survives the quest in Redcliffe. This can also happen if both parents are alive (at least with the ending where a hardened Alistair marries Anora and Loghain sacrifices himself).
  • If Connor is killed, Eamon and Isolde will have another child, a daughter, named Rowan. Isolde will die during childbirth. Like Connor, the girl turns out to be a magician and is sent to the Circle for formal training.

Queen Anora

  • If Alistair is not toughened up, Anora will marry Alistair; Remaining an experienced ruler, she takes charge of all matters related to government and laws, while Alistair personally appears before the commoners, which is why they admire him endlessly.
  • If Alistair is tightened, Anora marries Alistair, and they rule together both in matters relating to government and laws, and appearing publicly together, overseeing the restoration process and meeting with the warm approval of the people, who are of the view that chaos civil war and the assembly of lands is a small price to pay for the appearance of such wonderful monarchs.
  • Anora marries the Guardian; they enter into many trade contracts with neighboring countries and, together with the Guardian, begin what could be a new golden age for Ferelden if they do not fight for power.
  • Anora marries the Guardian, who later makes the ultimate sacrifice by destroying the Archdemon: she becomes an accomplished ruler, but never marries again due to her exceptional standards for suitors, comparing them to her father rather than the Guardian.
  • Anora does not marry anyone and rules alone. She becomes an accomplished ruler, but never marries again due to her exceptional standards in choosing a groom.
  • If Alistair becomes king, and Anora did not want to abdicate the throne in his favor, she is imprisoned in the tower to avoid a rebellion (at Alistair's request, since he does not want to execute her in case he does not survive the Blight - despite this measure of mercy, Anora admits that she wouldn’t mind switching places with him).

Urn sacred ashes

  • If the Guardian allowed Genitivi's brother to assemble an expedition to the Urn, but did not kill high dragon, The urn will disappear without a trace and become a myth again.
  • If the Guardian allowed Brother Genitivi to assemble an expedition to the Urn and killed the high dragon, the temple will become a place of worship for pilgrims.
  • If the Guardian killed Genitivi's brother and the high dragon, the Church will deny all rumors that the Urn has been found.
  • If the Guardian killed Genitivi's brother but did not kill the high dragon, the Church will announce the discovery of the ashes, but the dragon will one day tire of the pilgrims and go on a rampage, destroying the temple and possibly the ashes as they are not found. The dragon will fly away in search of a new shelter.
  • If the Guardian desecrated the sacred ashes for Kolgrim, Brother Genitivi will announce the discovery of the ashes, causing great excitement among the scientists. Expeditions into the ruins would find nothing, and years later his work would be declared a hoax. He will commit suicide. In winter, the dragon begins to rampage in the surrounding area. There will be rumors that sectarians worship him as the new Andraste. Attempts to find his lair or ashes will not be successful, because the cultists will quickly gain new fans.
  • If the Guardian desecrates the sacred ashes for Kolgrim, then kills him, but leaves the dragon alive, rumors will circulate about the sacred ashes being involved in the healing of Earl Eamon. People will send expeditions to search for the Urn. After countless attempts to kill the high dragon that was found in place of the Urn, it will be decided that it is too dangerous to continue the expedition. The dragon will suddenly fly to the west in search of a new refuge, but not before going on a rampage, leaving only ruins of the temple. Subsequent expeditions and excavations in the ruins will yield nothing. Some people believe that the Urn is still under the ruins, others say that it was destroyed, and others doubt its existence at all, which is why the Urn soon becomes a legend again.
  • If the Guardian did not allow Genitivi's brother to enter the ruins where the cult lives, the Urn will disappear even if you kill the high dragon.

Circle of Mages

  • If the Guardian saved the mages during the Broken Circle quest, then the epilogue will say that in the following months after the incident, the Circle tower was finally cleared of the last spirits that penetrated the Veil. No new Possessed appeared, and First Sorcerer Irving was pleased to announce that the Circle had been saved. Everything that could be saved was saved.
  • A Guardian Mage can ask the ruler for independence for the Circle of Ferelden as a reward. Although King Alistair or Queen Anora agreed to this request, the Church ignored it. Alternatively, if the Guardian Mage makes the ultimate sacrifice, the new ruler will announce that the tower will be rebuilt elsewhere by order of Alistair/Anora, and the templars' oversight will be relaxed. If this happens, a huge statue of the Guardian will be erected in front of the entrance to the new tower.
  • Cullen may go mad after Uldred's attempt to take over the Circle and kill several mages before escaping the tower. He becomes a wandering madman, hunting every magician he sees. Alternatively, he can replace Gregor as Knight Commander, controlling the Circle through intimidation (this option is granted if the Guardian decides to side with the Templars during the main quest).

Spawn of Darkness

  • The darkspawn retreat to Deep Paths, where the Dwarves retake the kingdoms, but do not return to the surface for some time.
  • Depending on your choices, Sheila may or may not return to the Deep Roads to help the Dwarves fight against the darkspawn.
  • Even though the horde of darkspawn scattered after the defeat of the Archdemon, the strongest of them gathered their roaming troops and began to attack the nearby lands and other troops. Some even made it to Orlais before being defeated (albeit with great difficulty). Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. This epilogue begins the plot of Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.
    • Loghain can be killed at the Landsmeet at the hands of Alistair or the Guardian.
    • Loghain can sacrifice himself by killing the Archdemon.
    • If Loghain is called into the Guardians, but remains alive in last battle, he becomes the chief recruiter for the order in Ferelden before the arrival of the Orlesian Gray Wardens from Montsimmar at the request of the Weishaupt fortress itself.
    • If Anora becomes queen and Loghain is dead, she erects a statue in front of the Orlesian embassy in Denerim. If he dies at a land meeting, only Anora attends. If he dies by killing the Archdemon, the statue becomes a famous landmark and the people remember his heroism more than his mistakes.
    • If Harrowmont becomes king and Anvil was destroyed, he has to get involved in a long struggle with the Belen uprising, which does not allow him to achieve the stability he needs in the city. The Clan Lords rejected many of his laws in the Council, and only his attempts to increase the Dwarves' isolation from the surface met with success. During this time, Harrowmont's health begins to deteriorate. Some claim he was poisoned, others said it was due to a weak spirit. In any case, after a long illness, the king finally dies. Almost immediately, disputes begin in the Council about the king's successor.
    • If Harrowmont becomes the new king and Anvil preserved, he quickly suppresses the uprising of Belen's supporters and issues several laws that are well received by the lords. Unfortunately, this increasingly isolates the gnomes from the surface. Caste restrictions and the rights of the nobility increase, and trade with human lands ceases. After the law prohibiting those deprived of caste from entering the city, it seems that the uprising is completely suppressed. Although disturbances still occur, the Council still holds on to King Harrowmont.
    • If the Guardian destroys Anvil of the Void, a group of dwarves will try to restore it. The first golem they created would be brought to life with the help of a spirit from the Shadow. He will go on a rampage, kill many, and soon the research will stop. However, interest in Caridin's discovery does not fade. This is the beginning of the expansion's story Golems of Amgarrak.
    • Also if Harrowmont will become king and Anvil will be maintained, the initial success will soon decline. Harrowmont will cut off trade with the surface, leading to isolation. Also, Harrowmont refuses Branke in new volunteers for the Anvil. She begins raiding the surface to get the necessary ingredients. The people on the surface decide to take revenge, which leads to a short war with Ferelden. The Gates of Orzammar will be besieged and sealed, isolating Orzammar more than ever. This will happen even if the Dwarven Guardian asks Queen Anora or King Alistair for help in the battles against the darkspawn in the Deep Roads.
    • Support Henbane regardless of the Anvil's status, it will bring him fame as a reformer. Trade with the surface is improved, and caste restrictions are reduced. Those deprived of caste will be allowed to take up arms and fight the creatures of darkness in exchange for new freedoms. After some time, some tags will be returned. Bhelen's reforms would quickly find enemies in the noble and warrior castes, but after several attempts on the king's life, the Council would be dissolved. The king begins to rule alone - some will talk about him as a tyrant, others will talk about the foresight of the new king, which will lead Orzammar into a new era.
    • Support Henbane and conservation Anvils will lead to Branca mastering the Caridin technique, learning how to use the Anvil of the Void to create new golems - the first in centuries. The Dwarven people will welcome this news with support, although few will know the cost. At first, King Belen is happy to work with Branka, bringing her new people - voluntarily or not - so with the help of golems, the creatures of darkness are pushed further into the Deep Paths. However, this did not last long. Branca soon refuses to create golems just for the king, who later bans the use of the Anvil. His men attack Branka's fortress in the Deep Roads, forcing her to lock herself inside. Years later, Belen is forced to retreat. The fortress, guarded by Branka's golems, remains impregnable.
    • If the Dwarven Guardian asks for military assistance from Ferelden, and Belem becomes king, the latter will welcome help with open arms. Within a few months, the darkspawn would be driven further into the Deep Roads, and the first Dwarf warriors to return with the relic they had recaptured at the gates of Bonnamara would be cheered by the jubilant crowds.
    • If the Guardian helped his brother Berkelu, the new church in Orzammar will attract a surprisingly large number of novices among the dwarves. They would quickly draw the ire of their more conservative compatriots, and the Council would soon restrict the rights of the Andrastians. Brother Burkel would resist and die while attempting to be arrested during a peaceful demonstration in the Commons. The Council will claim that it was just an accident, but news from Orzammar will reach the Church on the surface, where the High Priestess will decide that it is time to organize a new Holy Crusade.
    • If the Guardian helps Dagne join the Circle of Mages, she would later become the author of a complex theory about how lyrium vapors affect susceptibility to magic. This will attract attention and inspire mages from other parts of Thedas to found a new Circle in Orzammar in order to gain access to the Dwarven lyrium and escape from the control of the Church. Orzammar's desire to harbor renegades will become so outrageous that the High Priestess will consider the possibility of a new holy crusade. The guardian mage who asked for freedom for the tower mages and helped Dagna will not be the last straw. It's worth noting that this can only happen if you didn't help Brother Berkel.
    • If the Guardian sides with the templars in the quest Broken Circle and tells Dagna about the destruction of the Circle, she will immediately begin to help restore the tower.
    • If the Guardian Dwarf Noble sacrifices himself, Alistair or Anora (depending on who becomes ruler) will tell Gorim that the Guardian's body must be returned to Orzammar to be returned to the Stone next to King Endrin Aeducan with all rights restored. Alistair/Anora will also send soldiers to aid the dwarves in their battles against the creatures of darkness.
  • Werewolves can be cured by the Guardian and return to human civilization. They all adopted the surname "Wolf" to remember their past. Soon their fame spread in Thedas as the best animal tamers and trainers. Every year they light candles in memory of their beloved Mistress of the Forest.
  • Werewolves could also be healed by the Guardian and then killed by him when they became human.

Dalish elves

  • The Dalish could be killed by werewolves and the Guardian.
  • If the Guardian has recruited the Dalish, they will become respected due to their participation in the fight against the Blight. Their relationships with people improve significantly, but suddenly tension increases. If Lanaya replaced Zathrian as Guardian, she would help bring peace between humans and the Dalish.
  • The Dalish will officially receive their own lands near Ostagar if their army served Ferelden against the Blight.
  • If the Warden is a Dalish, he can ask for land for his people (the Dalish will be given interior lands only at the request of the Guardian; a bug causes this slide to appear in the epilogue if Lanaya becomes the new guardian).
  • If Zathrian remains the guardian of the clan, he will continue to lead the Dalish long enough for disputes with humans to begin. When he suddenly disappears, his clan will search for him, but will find nothing except confirmation that he left of his own free will.
