Complexity

Time

To get 100% you will need to go through the storyline of the add-on “The Old Hunters” in which you will have to kill 4 story bosses and one additional one, and also collect all 16 new types of weapons, one of which you can accidentally miss. The complexity of the add-on is in no way inferior to the main game and is 7/10 . A full, leisurely passage will take you about 15 o'clock.

Walkthroughs

In addition "The Old Hunters" You can get 100% in one playthrough; to do this, you need to carefully familiarize yourself with the only skippable trophy. In addition to everything one missable trophy:

Only one weapon is skippable in this trophy, so as not to accidentally miss it, I advise you to familiarize yourself with the location of the skippable weapon.

Glitchy

There is only one trophy in the add-on that can glitch, namely, but it glitches extremely rarely and can be corrected by simply buying all types of weapons from the DLC from Envoys of the Bath.

4. Wait until he grabs you Amygdala and transfer to "Hunter's Nightmare" .

After activating the flashlight in "Hunter's Nightmare" The Old Hunters DLC will be available through Nightmare Tombstone in "Hunter's Dream", the location of which can be seen in the screenshot below:

Story Walkthrough

If you do not want to repeat the passage of this add-on, then you should remember only one skippable trophy. Let's take a closer look at it.

Collect all the weapons of the old hunters.

To obtain this trophy, you must collect all the weapons that appeared in the DLC “The Old Hunters”. In total, 16 new types of weapons were added - 11 for the right hand and 5 for the left, and one of them is skippable.

Next I will apply the following labels:
(ETC)- Weapons for the right hand; (LR)- Weapons for the left hand; (Skippable)- Weapons can be skipped;

Let's look at the entire list of weapons of old hunters:

1. Monster Slayer (ETC)

Raises from the hunter's corpse at the beginning of the location "Hunter's Nightmare" . In order to find him, you need to climb to the top of the hill to the hunter, and then jump down from the ledge:

There, in addition to a bunch of enemies, there will be the corpse of a hunter, from which you can collect the required weapon.
2. Rattleshammer (ETC)

At the same location "Hunter's Nightmare" , when you reach the entrance to the cathedral, inside which rests "Vicar Lawrence" , do not go into it, but turn right. After going down, and then overcoming the enemies next to the machine guns, go down another level. Then do not go down, but go left - into the building. After going down the stairs inside, turn left and back. There next to your grandfather in the stroller you will find Rattleshammer. Just be careful - the wheelchair user is mined!

3. Piercing Gun (ETC)

Can be purchased from Envoys of the Bath in "Hunter's Dream" for 20,000 Blood Echoes, after finding "Blazing Hammer Badge" . The icon itself is taken not far from the place where it was Rattleshammer and a booby-trapped wheelchair, only when going down the stairs you don’t turn left and back, but simply left and go out through the passage into the street. Then you go forward, climb the stairs to the hunter with the claw, after killing whom you will receive the same "Blazing Hammer Badge" .

4. Gatling gun (LR)

From a house with a booby-trapped wheelchair (in which there was Rattleshammer) we go out into the street through the right passage, if you stand with your back to the stairs leading to the second floor. Having gone down to the river of blood, we turn right and go to the entrance to the cave. Entering it you will meet an armed hunter Gatling gun . After killing this hunter, his weapon will go to you.

5. Hand of Amygdala (ETC)

Found in the same cave where they took it Gatling gun . You need to go a little further forward and go down. Be careful: it is guarded by a blood-swallowing monster.

6. Simon's Spicy Onion (ETC)

There are several ways to get it. First, let's find Simon himself. Coming out of the cave where you took Gatling gun And Hand of Amygdala, we walk along the river of blood to the bridge. Having climbed the bridge, we pass along it and go down - into the building. At the end of the corridor you will find Simon, to the left of whom there will be doors opening a shortcut. Now let's return to the methods of obtaining.

First way:
The simplest one and does not require any additional manipulations. Just kill Simon, from his corpse you will get the same one Simon's Spicy Onion . With this method "The key to one of the cells in the dungeon" Bloodletter will lie next to the lantern in the hut in the location "Fishing Village" , i.e. where the dying Simon should have been when using the second method.

Second way:
1) Talk to Simon and answer "I'm very interested in nightmares".
2) Almost at the end of the DLC in the location "Fishing Village" he will lie dying next to the lantern in the hut ( "The Hut Near the Lighthouse"):

After talking with him you will receive Simon's Spicy Onion , and "The key to one of the cells in the dungeon" required to obtain weapons Bloodletter.

Attention: for those who missed Simon and, naturally, all the items associated with him, there is no reason to be upset. Even after completing the DLC, you can return to the place where it stands at the very beginning, described just above, and use any of the two methods of obtaining weapons Simon's Spicy Onion .

7. Saif the Monster Hunter (ETC)

At the same location "Hunter's Nightmare" we return to the river of blood and go to the right of the bridge, if you stand with your back to the passage leading to Simon and to the doors that activate the shortening. In the place where two dogs will attack you, we run around the fallen tower and come across a hunter and a large number of crows. Having dealt with them or simply ignoring them, we go up the stairs, and then, instead of going forward onto the hill, we go to the left and jump down through the broken fence. There you will be met by a hunter armed with a saif, and if you go a little further, you will find a corpse from which this weapon is picked up.

8. Spin saw (ETC)

On location "Hunter's Nightmare" , immediately after finding Saif the Monster Hunter , having climbed back up the stairs and overcome the hill ahead, jump down. Going a little further you will meet two big guys, in this place keep to the right, there you will find the entrance to the cathedral, and in the cathedral a lamp "The Main Cathedral of Nightmare". Next, go down the stairs next to this lamp and the tomb, and then jump down to the crows. Having gone left to the very end, you will come across a corpse lying on a stone, from which you will pick up this weapon.

9. Sacred Moonlight Sword (ETC) (Skippable)

Immediately after killing the boss "Ludwig the Sacred Blade" ("Ludwig the Damned" ) to the left of the lamp you will find his head. You can do it in two ways.

First way:
Just kill the head and take it away Sacred Moonlight Sword .

Second way:
Dress in any of the two church sets ( Bila Tserkva or Black Church), talk with your head and agree. In this case you will receive Sacred Moonlight Sword immediately after the conversation.

Attention: if you forget to pick up this sword after killing Ludwig and at the same time leave Simon alive, then after defeating the boss "Lady Maria of the Astral Clock Tower" Simon will finish off the head with one precise shot from his bow. If this happens, then Sacred Moonlight Sword in this walkthrough you will no longer receive!

10. Fist of Gratia (LR)

Found in one of the underground chambers immediately after the boss "Ludwig the Sacred Blade" .

11. Church cannon (LR)

Climbing the stairs from the underground prison, you will come across two hunters, behind whom there will be a large platform - an elevator leading to "Hall of Research" . Activate the platform and immediately step back from it. Another platform will rise from below, on the altar of which take "Lawrence's Skull" , you will need it to challenge the boss "First Vicar Lawrence" . Next, we activate the lever and use this platform to go down. There in a small nook there will be a chest in which lies Church cannon.

12. Church slander (ETC)

To get this weapon, you first need to find "Key to the Cells in the Dungeon" . It is located in the location "Hall of Research" , on the third floor of the infirmary. First you need to climb to the very top and use the mechanism that will move all the stairs. After this, rise from Adeline(what sits at the very bottom "Hall of Research" , the door to it will be if you go up the stairs and turn right from the lantern) on the elevator. Then we go into the opposite elevator and carefully look to the left - there will be a passage that you need to get into while the elevator is moving (the easiest way to do this is when the elevator is descending). Then we go forward, turn left, go down the stairs keeping to the left and go up the stairs nearby. Having risen, turn left, go to the end and turn right, there will be a corpse from which we collect this key.

13. Shield of Lokha (LR)

Everything is the same "Hall of Research" , after turning the mechanism at the very top, one of the stairs will turn to a ledge located closer to the first floor, on which there will be a corpse with this shield.

14. Rakuyo (ETC)

On location "Fishing Village" in the square you will find a well; when you go down into it, one fish will attack you. There will be another one hanging under the ceiling, which will jump down only when you spend 50% of the lives of the first one. By killing this second fish you will receive as a reward Rakuyo.

15. Bloodletter (ETC)

To get this weapon you will need to collect "The key to one of the cells in the dungeon" . Where and how to find it can be found in the description of the location of the weapon Simon's Spicy Onion .

After we have picked up the key, we return to the underground prison and go down to the locked Brador. By unlocking the door and killing him we get Bloodletter.

Receive for defeating the boss "Orphan of Kos".

Now let's move on to the most important thing - the bosses and the tactics of dealing with them. As always, we will consider them in the order of the battles.

Ludwig the Sacred Blade (Ludwig the Damned)

Boss type: plot

Tactics:

In the first stage Ludwig mainly uses sweeping attacks with its claws, tries to bite with its teeth, and also makes dashes and jumps. Despite the apparent randomness of his attacks, you can always catch the windows between them and inflict damage on the boss. His horse's legs, as well as his heads, are best suited for striking. Try to follow his attacks and go behind his back, or stay on either side. Because The roll is carried out beyond the rebound, I recommend not using focus on the target at the first stage or turning it off while the boss is carrying out attacks.

In the second stage the boss will use a sword. Move away from him when he sticks his sword into the ground, and also dodge a series of sword attacks that hit far and hurt, so it's better to stick to one of his sides or back.

You can call three phantoms to help you, or rather, either the first one, or the second and third:

1) Henrietta. The summoning sign is located next to the one closest to Ludwig a lantern. Descending from "Churches of Nightmare" down, on the left you will find the place where she is summoned.

2) Twin Madaras. Summoned where the Butcher's Seth lies, next to one of the big guys. The condition for summoning is the use of the rune Uncleanness, to obtain which you must enter into a covenant "League" by talking with Walter, which is located near the lantern "Forbidden Forest", in the mill building.

3) Valtre. On the way to Ludwig, right after the two big guys, you will meet a witch, a little further to the right of which there will be crows. Next to these crows you will find a summoning sign. Again, to summon him you need to use the rune Uncleanness.

Reward for killing the boss:

Live failures

Boss type: plot

Tactics:

The difficulty of this boss is only that there are several Failures, the maximum can be 4. It is worth remembering that they have a weakness to electricity. The tactics of fighting them are quite simple - we run around a glowing tree of sunflowers, hiding behind it from throwing magical attacks and, if possible, causing damage to one of the enemies. During an air attack, when Failures stretch their arms to the sky, and the surroundings begin to darken, it is best to hide under the roof next to the doors leading to the clock tower.

Reward for killing the boss:

Lady Maria from the Astral Clock Tower

Boss type: plot

Tactics:

The boss is quite simple and in many cases can be killed on the first run. First of all, it should be noted that Maria very easy to parry. Fast types of weapons are best suited for combat. We simply approach her over her left shoulder and hit her, then we dodge attacks over the same left shoulder and, having restored stamina, return to the previous actions.

If you still prefer heavy weapons, then you can use a two-handed grip Hunter's Ax and attack Maria charged attack every time she gets close to you.

Reward for killing the boss:

First Vicar Lawrence

Boss type: additional

Tactics:

This boss's left paw is longer and stronger, so you should take this into account when fighting him. Therefore, during the first stage, try to stay under his right paw. He will perform two types of ground slams - one with a blast after pulling out his paw, the other just a ground slam. So, when hitting the ground with a blast wave, hitting him on the paw, you can get the opportunity to make a repost. But if you still decide to approach him during this attack, then do everything quickly, hit him once and immediately run so as not to be caught by the blast wave.

In the second stage he loses his legs, but don't think that because of this he loses agility and strength. He will carry out attacks with even greater fury, while pouring magma onto everything both from his mouth and from his back, leaving a trail of fire behind him. At this stage, it is better to stay close to his right side and constantly ensure that you do not accidentally fall into the magma on the floor.

Reward for killing the boss:

Upon arrival at “ Hunter's Dream”, pick upThe eye of a blood-drunk hunter”, and also selectOld hunting bell" Then head toCathedral District” and turn left, go through the passage where you will be grabbedAmygdala”, this will take you to the add-on.

Now light the lamp and move forward, once you reach the open area, turn right and go up into “ Great Cathedral”.
Along the way you will meet Hunter, wielding a whip and a gun, it will not be difficult to defeat him, he very weak, 3-4 hits will be enough to win.
Keep moving up, on your way you will find a gate, but unfortunately they cannot be opened yet.

We return to the passage leading to “ Chapel of Oedon”, on the way you will again meet one hunter, kill him and jump onto the ledge, there we pick up from the corpseOld Hunter Gloves", now let's go back Same road, but already passing beyond the protruding roots, and then hit the Blood Vial, which is located on the left on the ground.

Then look below at the square, there is a horde there, soon we will we'll have to meet with them, but for now turn around and head towards the spire and turn right. But be careful ahead ambush , arranged by two dogs, after straighten out with them, keep moving forward.

Look out for the hunter hidden on the right and quickly kill him. Ignore the left path (it leads to the Great Cathedral), and instead go on the right. Further go down to the ground and kill" monstrous crows”, and then activate the adjacent lever. This will open the gate you discovered a little earlier, through this gate a short path back toChapel of Oedon”.

Go up the stairs to the top, there awaits you Hunter After defeating him, turn left and go up the stairs again. After a few seconds, a huge burning stone will begin to roll towards you from above, quickly go down and hide from it. When the stone collapses, continue to the top of the stairs, there you will see two hunters who opened the door " Cthulhu executioner with an ax" , he will easily defeat them, and you need to prepare for battle, lure him into a confined space. He is dangerous at any distance, from a jump he is able to shorten the distance, and with a roundhouse kick, he is able to break the distance. After killing him, go upstairs and take it there "Pendant in the shape of an eye"(gives access to the altar of surgery). Then, turn left and go through the cave. Behind it, a barrier of turrets awaits you; you can only pass them by moving from one shelter to another. After the turrets you will be attacked Hunter with a crowd of enemies, luring them out one by one, kill them. Then go into the building, two enemies and an explosive trap are waiting for you in it, be careful. If you go out the door to the left, you will meet at the top of the stairs " Animal Hunter", a rather difficult opponent, has high speed and powerful blows, defeating him you will receive - "Blazing Hammer Badge"(Gives access to things Envoy of the Bath).

Door on the right in the building will lead you to a river of blood, and I walk along it Bloodsuckers, luring them out one by one, defeating them will be a completely achievable goal. You need to turn right, they will prevent you from passing Hunters, having dealt with them, go further along the river and you will run into a closed gate. (On the left along the river you will find a cave, there you will be attackedHunter with Gatling gun And Infected, in the end you will get "Hand of the Amygdala"). From the gate, turn left and go around the fallen tower, behind it you need to overcome Hunter And monstrous crows . Having walked further, you will see a staircase, use it and go up to the top, following the path, go down the stairs again to the river of blood. They're waiting for you there "Cthulhu Executioner with an Axe" And "Cthulhu Executioner with Gun-Gun", these are two very dangerous opponents, first defeat the enemy with an ax, since the gun takes a long time to reload and you can hide from it. Having dealt with them, go to Church of Nightmare (located on the right side) there you can light a lantern and you can rest.

You need to go through the locked gate, which was behind Cthulhu with a gun-gun, to do this, go around it on the left side and head into the cave. The first boss of the expansion awaits you there - Ludwig the Damned. This boss also has a second stage - Ludwig the Sacred Blade.

You can see detailed tactics in the section .

Underground pile of corpses

After defeating Ludwig, light the lantern that appears. Then come to the head Ludwig, she will start talking to you, after which she will laugh hysterically. If you wear the Black or White Church set and select in the dialogue that appears "Yes", you get "Sword of Sacred Moonlight" or just kill the head.

Go up the stairs next to which the head was lying. A wanderer will be locked in a cell on the left; you will not be able to open the door. Before inspecting other cameras, deal with Servants of the church. One will be in a wheelchair and with a firearm, it is better to deal with him first and only after him take on the second. When you defeat both, you can safely inspect the cells with open doors. Having finished looking at the cameras, go along the corridor and go up the stairs, to your right there will be rats, and on the left is an altar guarded by two clergyman. The Churchman in Black is very strong, lure him into prison and kill him, then go back and deal with the Churchman in White, he is much easier because he uses magic.

Go to the altar and insert the one you found earlier. You will see a short cutscene, after which you will take the elevator to the next floor. Light the lantern and use the lever to go down. Then, next to the altar, activate the lever, but do not go to the elevator, wait until the platform leaves and another one takes its place. You need to take it from her "Lawrence's Skull" Return to the Great Cathedral, where you fought " Cthulhu executioner with an ax". As soon as you approach the fire monster on the wall, it will come to life - it will Lawrence, First Vicar. You can see the battle tactics against him in the section -

Research Hall

Having risen on the platform you will find yourself in the location - Research Hall. Having gone further, you will find a small pool with poisoned water; staying in this water for a long time is life-threatening; it is better to lure all enemies out of there. Having examined this area, you will see a huge staircase leading to the top; the staircase itself and the adjacent floors are dotted with "Patients", most of them will not attack you unless you attack first. But "Patients" with any weapon they pose a threat, although they are not strong enemies. On the floors there are shelves with medicines - these are traps and are triggered using a pressure plate on the floor. When exploring the room, be extremely careful (before moving anywhere, look carefully).

You will be met already on the second floor "Wheelchairers"- formidable opponents at long distances, try to quickly get to them and kill them. On the second floor, on one of the ledges, there will be " Church minister"(it can be seen from the lower floors if you look closely) - this is your landmark. Get to him and kill him, immediately behind him you will find a door, go through it. Three will be waiting for you there "Wheelchair users." It will be easy to deal with them, since they will not attack at the same time or simply may not notice you. After clearing the room, go into the elevator, when you go down you will find yourself in a room with Adeline, Bloody Saint, talk to her and take the tasks. Directly behind it you can open the door to the pool where you began your ascent.

You need to bring three Brain liquids it is found only in meat pieces:

  • First piece of meat- located on the fifth floor Hall of Research on the beams under the roof itself. You need to raise the platform, run along the beams to a non-aggressive patient in sheets, kill him and you can take the brain fluid. Reward: Adeline's blood.
  • Second piece of meat- can only be found after turning the lever on the fifth floor. When the stairs in the location change location, a piece of meat will appear on one of the flights, guarded by a hostile Hunter. Kill him and take the brain fluid. Reward: Balcony key ( Opens the balcony opposite the lantern in the Research Hall).
  • After the location was rebooted, Adeline slid off the chair and mutated into a piece of meat, and now lies by the door. Talk to her and then kill her. Pick up another brain fluid from her corpse. 3-4 seconds after that Adeline comes to life, give her the liquid. Reward: rune " Spurge"

Having completed the task, go into the elevator and go up to the floor above, exit through the door, which is located on the left. Then turn right and go up the stairs. Having opened a huge door you have to fight a boss - Live failures.

By defeating him you will receive Astral Clock Tower Key. When leaving the garden you can light a lantern. Immediately behind it, open the gate and you will find yourself in Astral clock tower. Approach the corpse and interact with it, after which the video will start, as soon as it ends, you will have to fight the boss - Lady Maria from the Astral Clock Tower.

Fishing village

After defeating Lady Mary, take the sky dial and light the lantern. After that, go to the chair where she was sitting. Lady Miria And "Bring up the heavenly dial", to do this, press [ on the gamepad X] when the corresponding message appears on the screen. Go into the opened passage and you find yourself in Fishing village. Carefully inspect the village in the right corner, you can light a lantern, and on the left side they will start attacking you Triton. They are slow, so you can deal with them quite easily. Lure them out one by one and move to the front, then you will meet Rybozhora, a very dangerous opponent, with powerful blows, defeat him using dodges. Then go further along the road, there will be again Rybozhor, will be behind him dilapidated hut and lighthouse, in the hut you can light a lantern. Go around the lighthouse and across the rooftops and then across the wooden bridge. Go into the cave, they are waiting for you there Tritons, and below Mermaids. Near Mermaids find a passage, it will lead you to a platform, behind the platform find a passage along which lie “worshippers”. The passage will lead you to the final boss - Orphan of Kos.

Bloodborne: The Old Hunters was released today and is available for download, but if you are still wondering how to get into the new call, these instructions may come in handy. Possible spoilers.

1) Defeat Vicar Amelia in the Main Cathedral
2) Approach the altar to trigger the event (time of day will change to night)
3) Return to the Hunter's Dream
4) Messengers will appear next to the doll. Accept the gift (eye of a blood-drunk hunter)
5) Travel to Yharnam Tombstone and awaken in the Cathedral Ward
6) Exit through the left exit
7) Go down the stairs, turn right and stand in front of the dead man next to the tree. Players will automatically be transported to Hunter's Nightmare

If Vicar Amelia has already been defeated and the event behind the altar has already been triggered, a messenger will appear next to the doll in the Hunter's Dream. Follow steps 4-6.

Also a small Q&A (questions answered):

Question: What level must a character be to gain access to the new zone?
Answer: There are no restrictions on the level after which The Old Hunters expansion becomes available. Players can enter the new zone at any level, but we recommend using a level 65 character.
Question: How many new weapons will there be in The Old Hunters expansion?
Answer: If you count weapons for both the left and right hands, then it is no less than ten.
Question: How many new bosses will there be in The Old Hunters?
Answer: There will be four new bosses in the expansion.
Question: Are there any plans for expansion after The Old Hunters?
Answer: No, there are no new additions planned for Bloodborne: Bloodborne.
Question: Can I continue playing with friends if I have The Old Hunters add-on and they don’t? (or vice versa?)
Answer: Yes. It is very important that the gaming community remains united despite the emergence of new data. The Old Hunters expansion is designed in such a way that all players can still interact with each other. Players without the expansion will see the new weapons, but will not be able to use them or access new locations unless they purchase the expansion.
Question: How long will it take to complete The Old Hunters expansion?
Answer: It's hard to say given the variety of playstyles. Be that as it may, the addition not only opens up new locations, but also changes already familiar areas - for example, adding new non-player characters. We believe that players will have a fairly long adventure ahead of them.
Question: What are the main features of The Old Hunters expansion?
Answer: Lots of new locations, weapons, items, enemies, bosses and NPCs added to the world of Yharnam.
Question: Will there be new magic (abilities) in The Old Hunters expansion?
Answer: Yes.
Question: How can players access The Old Hunter?
Answer: Players will gain access to new areas after completing a certain episode of the story.
Question: Can you tell us more about the League?
Answer: A League is a group of hunters bound by an oath and pursuing a common goal. By joining the League, led by a mysterious figure in a constable's outfit and a bucket helmet, you can help other players online and compete for a place on the overall League leaderboard. The league will be available to all owners of Bloodborne: Bloodborne, including those who have not purchased the add-on.
Question: Will playing online change with the update?
Answer: There will be no global changes. However, the old Hunting Bell will appear in the game (this is a new bell that allows players to summon an NPC assistant).

Is it just me, or does that look like one of the humanity creatures from the Dark Souls series? (tl:dr at bottom)

If it is, then it serves as a connection between the two series, and if so, that first line of the description makes it clear that the Dark Souls series happened in the past. It"s lack of practical purpose therefore makes sense, since in bloodborne, the undead curse is no more, and as a result, consuming humanity is no longer necessary nor common.

The last line of the description likely refers to Artorias the Abysswalker, Farron"s undead legion who followed in his footsteps, and anyone else who also sought to fight back the abyss. The dark soul and it"s descendants were once, and often still are, peaceful, but if disturbed (like with Gwyn"s branding the seal of fire on the ringed knights" stuff, the seals of which are probably what led to the spread of the undead curse), bad things are known to have happened, such as the birth and spread of the abyss, and its subsequent corruption of humanoids into ravaging beasts of all kinds. In other words, dont trifle with the abyss unless you want a whole lot of responsibility resting on your shoulders.

In DS3 (idk about the other souls games), creatures afflicted by the abyss have glowing red eyes. Interestingly, every single lycanthrope (the scary monsters in Farron with the crosses fixed to their backs) have these glowing red eyes. Though they may not be lycanthropes in the most conventional sense, they could be hairless, undead versions of what"s to come later in bloodborne.

Back to Farron"s undead legion; they partake of the great gray wolf"s blood in order to help them hunt the abyss wherever it may crop up. As I understand it, (I havent actually played BB) hunters also rely extensively on blood throughout the game. I also noticed through some pictures I saw a while back that there are some large similarities between the undead legion armor and some armor in Bloodborne. Specifically, the really high collar/neck guard that laces in the front and has a fold that goes around the top edge. Just thought that was interesting.

On a final note, the firekeepers, as well as Saint Aldrich, have visions of the future. The firekeeper see a world where the first flame has completely died out, signaling the beginning of the age of dark; of man. Aldrich, on the other hand, saw what he called the age of the deep sea, and in dark souls, “deep” is synonymous with dark. The "sea" could refer to liquid blood, which is fairly rare in an era of hollowing undead, but would be present in MUCH greater volumes following the dawn of the age of man and the resulting destruction of the undead curse.

All in all, I think it "s likely that Bloodborne is set far into the age of man, and the hunters are following in the footsteps of the Abysswalker and the Abyss Watchers with the goal of hunting humans whose humanity has grown wild and led to both the corruption of their bodies and their minds

tl:dr - Speculation on the connection between the dark souls series and bloodborne, inspired by this humanity-shaped pendant.

You're doing the right thing.

I'm not doing very well. But I didn't come here to whine. I came here to help you. Yes, that's it for you. You didn't ask me for advice, but I'll give it anyway. I ask you to read it carefully and take it extremely seriously.

Here's what you should do right today, after you read everything, without putting it off:

1) Reinstall your operating system. Format the disk for this purpose and overwrite the entire space, do not save time. Linux is best (for example, modern Linux Mint is very pleasing to the eye of an old Windows user). At least for surfing the Internet. If you are a AAA games addict like me, you can use Windows as a second system, purely for games. But it’s better not to let her on the Internet. Encrypt both systems. Mint or Ubuntu will offer you this option easily and directly from the standard installer. Encrypt your home folder too, there will be such an option. Windows can be encrypted using VeraCrypt after installation.

2) Encrypt all your storage media with the same VeraCrypt. All. For the pale, create a hidden partition inside a regular encrypted one, with the possibility of deniable encryption. In case our laws are brought up to the level of English ones and you can be imprisoned for forgetting your password.

3) To store passwords, use KeepassX or Keepass 2. You will only need to remember the following passwords by heart: to decrypt the disk, to decrypt the Keepass file. Don't skimp on them, 128-bit will do. The home folder password, also known as the superuser password, will have to be entered often, so you can save money here. It's still a cipher within a cipher. Password for the encrypted partition with fawn. Even the keepass cannot be trusted; in the case of English law, the kipass will have to be handed over, but only you should know that palevo exists in principle in nature.

4) Set up a connection via VPN. It's not expensive, it's just a basic level of security. When you feel that you need to be careful, use an anonymous overlay like Tor, i2p or the promising development promised by MIT when it comes out...

5) Buy a clean SIM card from the metro. Or several. Use one for everyday communication. Another one as needed. Encrypt your phone too. You shouldn’t even call your mom with a SIM card registered in your name - just throw it away, it’s trash.

7) Torrents are extremely dangerous. What you download is visible to your provider and for the cracked Windows you downloaded they may come for you not tomorrow, but in a year or three. They don't forget, they just have a long line. If you download a torrent, then only with a magnetic link, only after praying and only using the anonymous option in Tribler. Just forget about donkeys, goats, shareazu and so on. New generation Orthodox anonymous networks like RetroShare can and should be used, but you won’t find anything there. For now.

8) Minimize your presence on social networks. It’s safe to read, but God forbid you click the wrong like or repost somewhere. And remember that the service that is not hosted in your country is by definition better. If you are in the USA, then be afraid of the NSA; if you are in the Russian Federation, be afraid of the other three letters. They don't get along, that's your strength. But this is NOT a guarantee AT ALL.

9) Remember that all storage media will be taken away from you. And if they give it away, it won’t be soon, but most likely they will sell it on the radio market to grab a beer after work. Sync critical information with highly encrypted cloud storage. For example MEGA.

10) Find a good lawyer. And keep his phone on speed dial.

11) When (not if, but when) they come to you, do not try to explain or comment on anything. You have a constitutional right not to say anything. Use it. Silence is gold. What can a lawyer tell you, he’s on your speed dial and on his way, right?

12) Maybe you know better than me what security measures to use, BUT. The most important. Don’t even dare think that everything said doesn’t apply to you, just because you don’t do anything wrong. Don’t you dare think that you are not to blame for anything. Just because you haven't done anything wrong doesn't mean you're not a criminal. Criminal. 10 times. And perhaps you will become 20 more while the laws are printed by a mad printer. You have no idea where the blow will come from and why. You can't keep track of all the insanity. They don’t care whether you are assembling a bomb in the basement or jerking off to colorful ponies, sold out to the State Department or sincerely want to make your country better, raped a child in the middle of the street or once watched a Japanese cartoon with schoolgirls, you wrote Meinkampf or liked the post of Citizen Involuntary, you are the Minister of Finance who stole millions or a drunken janitor who broke a government broom. They just follow themselves. And the degree of your guilt provided for by brilliant and fair legislation will be approximately the same in any of these cases.

13) Keep money in reserve. A decent lawyer costs about the same as a porcelain Hollywood smile. It’s true that caries can wait, but the blind-blind Nemesis can’t. Just don’t give the money to the bank - they’ll freeze it. Don’t put dollars or, especially, rubles under your pillow - the currencies will depreciate. And don’t bury gold in a jar of cereal - they will take it away. Just buy some top cryptocurrency, to your taste or several different ones. At the same time, you will make money on the rise in the exchange rate.

14) It is useless to start a tractor, where you can live decently, the laws are even more broken than ours. And where there is no law, the first black man with a Kalash will kill you. When things are bad, you don’t need to look for another globe, you need to clean up your own house.

15) Don't believe it. Don't be afraid. Do not ask. Make the world a better place. Do at least something for this. When each of us does, everything will change. This is not the bottom. This is the agony of the old world giving birth in pain to a new one, which will also not be ideal, but will be much better. Smile and roll up your sleeves.

Perhaps this will not affect you personally, because you are not alone. The whole world is like us. But this is not a lottery in which you can bet your head on the “maybe it will blow through” sector. And the chances here are not at all as rosy as you think, these nuts are now being turned at full force until the threads come off. Believe me, when at four o’clock in the morning, without a declaration of war, you are pulled out of bed by a bell or in your office people in black masks break down the door with a battering ram, you will be very glad that a mosquito will not erode your nose. If you can't do everything I wrote, do at least something. Even a little bit of security is better than no security at all. If I weren’t a little paranoid, I wouldn’t be able to write anything to you now. But if I were paranoid enough, I would just continue to delight you with fresh games. Don't make my mistake.

Take care of yourself.

Bonus for those who finished reading paranoia. Of course, you are not worried about this nonsense, but about the question of what is happening with the game now. Well... everything is complicated, of course, but I hope that everything will be fine, although I can’t guarantee anything. Here's what to expect anyway:

The Old Hunter is compromised and tired, he wants to go into the Mist;

Old Hunter will be doing some work on the game's setting and architecture;

Old Hunter will NOT produce, either alone or in collaboration, any extreme content, be it violence, sex or any other sensitive topics. They may be outlined and mentioned, but they will never be described or otherwise illustrated;

This does not mean that the MER game will not receive such content. The project is completely open and anyone can work on it, and we know what everyone wants;

The hunter will open a patreon using the “white” version of the project, because the hunter needs to pay off debts for very expensive lawyers. But neither there, nor here, nor anywhere else will he share links to extreme content. You will have to look for it yourself, it will pop up, don’t worry - it always pops up;

The hunter will not be talkative at all. Silence is golden;

And if he does speak, it will be in English. This way the Hunter will be heard by more open ears and fewer malicious ones.

This resource, like all old contacts, will with some probability soon be CLEARED BY FLAME. New contacts will appear as needed, perhaps in the files of the first TVR release;

If you want Hunter to write games and not little guys from Kolyma, you can support him financially, but only and exclusively with Bitcoin. The address where to send cue balls is on the panel to the right of this post.
