“Color Code” has deep developmental potential. The game has four levels of difficulty, so children of all ages can play it. different ages, starting from preschool. The game develops non-verbal thinking, visual and spatial perception, because the player needs to compose images on a plane, superimposing image fragments printed on plastic plates on top of each other. “Color Code” also develops the ability to analyze, the ability to work according to a model, and also critically evaluate the result.

Despite the lack of competition in the game, the child develops some excitement and a desire to collect more and more new patterns. The rules of the game do not imply haste, so the child collects images at the rhythm in which he is comfortable, which makes the process calm. However, the game requires a high level of mental activity from the player, so care must be taken to ensure that the player does not become overtired. Successfully collected images support and strengthen self-confidence.

To complicate the task for the child, you can arrange the parts for the selected pattern in advance at the “wrong” angle. When the tasks provided by the developer are completed, you can try to come up with new figures yourself, and then invite your child to reproduce them, as well as change, combine or improve existing ones. In addition, you can come up with associations for the figures, try to understand what objects or phenomena they resemble. Such tasks will not only arouse additional interest in the player and add variety to the game, but will also develop his imagination.

A child can collect images either independently or with the help of an adult. Therefore, the “Color Code” can be used during developmental activities. Cooperative play The same home between parent and child will not only help develop the abilities of their son or daughter, but will also allow them to spend exciting time together and further strengthen their relationship.

The parts of the Color Code game are colorfully colored, which attracts children. All parts of the game are made of durable materials, so the game will last a long time and will not change appearance over time.

Irina Permyakova, educational psychologist, Secondary School No. 863, Moscow

The first of September is close, soon, as they say, back to school. It's time to somehow get ready and pack your briefcase, clean your school uniform and energetically invigorate your brain before studying. Otherwise, they got completely lazy over the summer. Yesterday I tried to do my summer math homework before handing it over to my math genius - I couldn't solve a single problem! But this, excuse me, is second class. What can we say about genius! I can imagine how he howls, poor fellow.

Therefore, I decided to resort to my famous gaming method and master the brain-warming game “Master Mind”, popularly called “Lord of the Mind”.

It should be noted here that this game was purchased in one of the many Spanish board game stores. If you want to know how they are doing with desktop games, then don’t worry, they are doing well in this regard. They are available in approximately the same range as ours.

When I realized how to play it, I laughed for a long time. This Spanish version of the game is now the embodiment of the national character for me. These are people who don’t want to strain themselves. On Sundays, they have virtually no public transport; at the height of collecting money from tourists, they are closed for half a day for a siesta. Why bother? And their Master Mind is appropriate, absolutely without straining their brains.

I admit, I wanted to play this game for a long time, I was very impressed by its description: unravel the opponent’s color code in a certain number of moves. I love to play the letter version of this game, I love to think logically. But in this option you don’t have to think at all!

Let me explain what the essence of the game is.

The one who guesses the code places five different chips in a random order (no color is repeated twice or more times!) in a special place and closes it with a lid. So that the enemy does not rejoice ahead of time.

The opponent begins to guess the code and places his five chips of different colors in random order on position number one. There are eight colors in total. The creator of the code checks what he wished for there and puts it on the row on the left (the one that is not numbered):

black chips– if the guesser’s chips have the same color, but the location does not match,

white chips– if the location and color match,

doesn't put anything- if such a color is not in the hidden code at all.

But! It not only tells you the number of colors guessed, but it also tells you which colors were guessed.

    1. One of the players guesses a code of non-repeating colors

    2. The same player closes the invented code with a lid. The second player, the one who guesses the code, places his version of the five-color code in position number 1.

The first player places three black chips in an unnumbered position next to each other.

This means that the second player correctly guessed the first, third and fifth colors, but did not guess their positions.

So the code has red, turquoise and green.

    3. On the second attempt, the player rearranges the guessed colors and adds two new ones. From the position of the white and black chips, it can be seen that the first, third and fifth code chips are completely guessed, and the second and fourth colors are also guessed, but their positions are not guessed.
    4. The code has been completely solved.

And so the question arises: why such a long field? With these rules of the game, the code can be solved in a maximum of 5 moves. And you have to try really hard to prolong the game.

And how do they play normal Master Mind In Perelman’s homeland and “What? Where? When?"?

Make a code of 4 chips that do not repeat in color. And they don’t say which chips were guessed, but simply report, as in the game “Bull and Cow,” how many chips were guessed by color and location, and how many simply by color. On our Spanish field, we also got used to playing like this.
We simply place a certain number of black chips on the field next to each other when only the color matches, and white chips when both the color and location match. But what exact colors were guessed is unknown. You have to use the most logical thinking. If the code is not guessed in 9 moves, then the one who guesses loses.

This great game for two players, it develops multi-way logic well.

For children who still find it difficult to build long logical chains, you can use the “Spanish” version of “Lord of the Mind,” and for older children and those who are not afraid of difficulties, you can use the “Russian” version.

Tanya Belkina played, shared her impressions and took photographs.

This is the second game option popular game"Mind games". Each player creates his own color code, and the one who first solves the enemy's code wins the game.

    Starting position and game objects.

First, each player must determine his color combination of 5 colors (code). Players choose from 8 different colors, the same color can be used multiple times. The following figure shows the code editor:

Once both players' codes have been created, the starting position appears playing field:

The left half of the playing field contains your own code (at the bottom of the board) and also shows your opponent's moves. The right half is for your moves, and also has your opponent's code hidden under the black area (at the top).

    How to make moves

As shown in the previous pictures, there is a range of 8 available colors from which to select your opponent's expected code. The player clicks on the selected color, then on an empty space in the current search row (the first available row from the bottom of the playing field). When all 5 cells in a row are filled, the player completes the circle.
To ensure equal opportunities for both players, regardless of who starts the game, the search result is not shown until both players have completed the current lap. This means that after the black player has completed his moves, the results of both are shown simultaneously and according to the following rules:

    • Black sign- the player guessed the color and position.
    • White sign- the player guessed only the color, but the position is different.
The characters are shown from left to right, black first. Their order is not related to the sequence of the enemy's code colors.
