Minecraft Snapshot 16w39c
This snapshot was released not long ago, and a lot of new things were added to it. New animals that can be tamed, new monsters, a new dungeon, new villagers and new very interesting chests - all this appeared in snapshot 16w39a. But snapshot 16w39a turned out to be terribly buggy, the game crashed literally from any sneeze, and therefore snapshot 16w39c has now been released, which fixed many bugs and glitches.

So, first things first.

1. Llama. I don't really understand why these animals were added. Unless one of the developers took the joke phrase about “rob the cows” seriously. Llamas come in four colors, but silver and white are very similar, so there are only three llamas on the screen - brown, white and sand. Llamas can be tamed using wheat, llamas can be sat on, chests can be attached to llamas, and llamas are absolutely impossible to control. But if you take one llama on a leash, the rest will follow it and form a long chain. So the llamas can make a good caravan. Llamas spit and love to spit at wolves, which makes the wolves go wild and try to bite the llamas. And then who will be stronger: a herd of llamas or a pack of wolves. Llamas also fight each other if one llama accidentally spits on another. The llamas also have new sounds. I didn't like them and for some reason they seemed similar to the sounds of zombies.
Llamas are found in the mountains and they are usually found there in very large flocks. If you kill a llama, its skin falls out.

The chest on a llama can hold from three to fifteen cells, but I mostly came across llamas with a capacity of six cells. I suspect that the chest's capacity depends on how much wheat is fed to the llama before taming. You can also put rugs on llamas instead of a saddle, and a colored rug becomes a unique cape for the llama.

I decided to show all the capes. So, the rugs are in order: white, light gray, dark gray, black, blue, orange, lilac, turquoise.

And then: blue, purple (there is a saddle with an enderman), yellow, red, lime, pink, brown and green (the llama has a creeper in a green rug on his saddle).

I liked the llamas with red, pink and brown rugs on their backs the most.

2. Shulker Box. In version 1.9 they added an additional dimension in the Land, castles and new mobs - shulkers. So far, nothing has dropped out of them, but now their shells will drop out of shulkers. When you combine two shulker shells, you get a purple shulker chest. Shulker chests come in not only purple, but also black, white, grey, blue, red, yellow, green and other colors. They can be repainted using dyes. Shulker chests have new animation and can open up, down and to the sides if they are not interfered with by other blocks.

A shulker chest (or shulker box) is a special chest. It has the capacity of a regular chest and you can put items in it in the same way. But it is also a portable chest. If you put things in it and then break it (even in creative mode), then the chest can be picked up and all the things will remain in the chest. Moreover, if you hover over the chest, you can read what kind of things are stored in the chest. It's essentially a carrying box and backpack in one. Now it will be easier to deal with a full inventory: all you have to do is run to the End, fight the dragon and take away their shells from the shulkers. I think these chests will be very popular.

3. Observer. This is a mechanism that monitors the condition of the block adjacent to the side with the sensor. Essentially, this is a block update sensor. This mechanism has already been in place Minecraft Pocket Edition, and now it has been transferred to the computer version. Now it will be possible to build more compact automatic farms.

4. Resident Cartographer. appeared in the villages new resident- cartographer. He buys paper and compasses and sells blank cards and treasure maps: a map of the Underwater Fortress and a map Forest mansion. This villager is dressed as a librarian.

The Underwater Fortress map shows this very fortress with a turquoise icon on the map. The white dot represents the player. The closer the player is, the larger the dot. As soon as the player flies up to the place shown on the map, the map begins to be drawn and becomes colored.

The Woodland Mansion map works the same way. Unless the forest mansion looks like a small house somewhere in the forest (usually in dark forest).

5. Forest mansion and new monsters.

Forest Mansion is a new dungeon in a dark forest and it looks... Like a huge mansion in the forest. The mansion is quite large and dark - there is practically no lighting there. Thanks to this, the mansion is full of monsters, both new ones that always live in the mansion, and the good old creepers, skeletons and zombies. The mansion can be cleaned, illuminated, and lived in. But it will not be easier (or even a little more difficult) than clearing the Fortress. And I decided to take a walk around the mansion that had spawned in my world.

Entrance to the Forest Mansion. Usually the entrance is hidden somewhere in the trees.

Patterns on the walls of the first floor.

Tomb. I placed a light stone to illuminate the room.

Pantry. The chests are completely empty, but you can take them for yourself. Or don’t pick it up if you want to live in a mansion.

A statue depicting one of the new mobs - the Summoner. The Summoner is holding a magic wand, which the real Summoner does not have. The glowstone is mine again to illuminate the statue.

Gloomy corridors of the Forest Mansion.

A secret passage through which you can climb to a treasure chest.

Treasure chest - gunpowder, red dust, record, leash and golden apple.

Camera. Mat bedding and cauldron.

Jailer's room. I installed the glowstone.

Ring for fights. I installed the glowstone.

Dark tree sprout farm. I installed the glowstone again.

Secret room with chest and tree.

Stairs to the second floor. I lit the stairs with a pumpkin.

Someone's bedroom with a fireplace. The lighting is mine again.

Large statue of a chicken made of wool.

Large cat statue made of wool.

Looks like another dining room or large office.

Large bedroom of the owner of the castle.

And the coat of arms in the bedroom of the owner of the castle.

And here are the inhabitants of this mansion. They didn't spawn in the mansion, so I had to call them. The first one is Summoner.

The Summoner is an evil sorcerer, he calls upon small winged ghosts and these thorns to help him. By the way, summoners attack not only players, but also villagers if they suddenly find themselves in the mansion. Summoners drop emeralds and Totem of Immortality. The Totem of Immortality is a very funny thing that prevents the character from dying if he holds this totem in his hand. Accordingly, things do not fall out, and the character can continue the fight with the bastard that brought him to death, or try to get out of the hole into which he fell.

The second occupant of the mansion is an axe-wielding maniac. Actually it's called Champion, but the name maniac with an ax also suits him very well, because he runs around with an ax and fights quite painfully with this ax. This bastard drops emeralds and sometimes an axe.

And one more thing about the Forest Mansion: the arrangement of rooms in it is absolutely random. The same rooms that I found may appear there, or completely different ones may appear. So, for example, in the mansion there is also a large room with a map, various plantations may appear - cane, wheat, pumpkins and watermelons and much more. Each mansion is unique, and the next mansion will definitely not be similar to the previous one. Therefore, I think it will be quite interesting to explore the mansions.

In general, the next version promises both interesting innovations and those that cause me slight bewilderment. Plus, at the snapshot stage it is quite buggy. But what I definitely liked was the new mechanism, new chests and the Forest Mansion.

And a few more thoughts about this snapshot and the upcoming version: I have rather mixed feelings. On the one hand, I’m happy with the llamas, and the mansion, and the chests-backpacks, and the mechanism, but on the other... My chunks are still loading with the same glitches. But the game is on a little faster, apparently they did something with performance. But in general, after purchasing the game from Microsoft, Minecraft gives you the feeling of Windows: everything is bright, simple and buggy.
Llamas... Well, this actually leaves me bewildered. There are cargo trolleys, there are donkeys, there are horses, shulker chests will appear... Why are llamas in this form? They have even less space than shulker boxes. Collect caravans? Maybe residents will trade with each other and in future versions there will be resident traders? The mansion is also cool, like a dungeon. And then you can live in it. On the other hand, if a mansion has spawned nearby, then you don’t have to build a house for yourself. Build a dugout, develop a little, illuminate the mansion, take out monsters (new monsters don’t always spawn there) and settle in a ready-made beautiful house. In general, a lazy man's dream. But the observer block is good. However, it is also useless for me: I don’t like automatic farms, I prefer semi-automatic ones. But in some places it can reduce the size of the mechanisms, and this is already a plus. I also like treasure maps. I love this style of drawing cards. It's a shame we can't make cards in this style.

A new structure has been added - Forest mansion, which many players try to find by simply flying around the world. But I’ll say right away that finding it this way is simply unrealistic. That is why we have prepared this one, which will help you find a forest mansion in Minecraft PE.

How to find a forest mansion?

You can do this in two ways - using a command in chat or special card treasures

The easiest way to find a mansion is to use a chat command. First you need to enter the command /locate mansion, after which you will receive coordinates to the nearest mansion.

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but for some reason it doesn't display the coordinate Y(height). Therefore, I recommend entering it in the range from 80 to 120, and I recommend doing this only in creative mode!

Next, you need to enter these coordinates into the teleportation command (/tp x y z). In my case I entered: /tp -14840 100 3208.

Another way is to purchase a special treasure map from a village cartographer.

Finding a resident cartographer is not an easy task. He looks like a resident librarian, but only cartographer can buy Forest Explorer Map V .

If you are lucky enough to find it, then do not forget to take emeralds and some other items to purchase the card.

Buy all the items (as shown in the screenshots below). This is necessary to increase the level of confidence of the resident and to achieve maximum level he will let you buy Forest Explorer Map.

Don't confuse this card with Ocean Explorer Card. They differ in color: the color of the card with the mansion is brown, and the color of the underwater fortress is blue.

If you have nerves of steel and are ready to go on a long journey, then before your journey, stock up well on food, blocks, and tools.

It is very easy to get lost with a map and only practice will help you understand the principle of the cardinal directions and search for structures.

How to use the card?

You just need to remember a few things that will help you determine the cardinal directions in Minecraft PE.

The simplest thing is that the Sun and Moon always rise in the east and set in the west (as in real life), and the sunflower flower is always tilted only to the east (towards the Sun).

IN Minecraft Pocket Edition you can find many residents offering a wide variety of goods for your use. Today we invite you to make a deal with the Cartographer - a new merchant from the village who sells various cards to search for natural structures generated in . How to find a resident? First of all you must download and install CartographerPlus for and then get to the village. The cartographer will offer you 2 existing and 4 new guide maps. Find what you've been looking for with much less effort!

Cartographer in Minecraft PE

Cartographer - new villager from the world Minecraft PE, which sells maps for finding natural structures. This feature has already been added to the game before, but now there are more cards! When trading with a new resident, you can buy the following cards from him:
  • New! Mine Search Map: 4 Emeralds
  • New! Map for finding Villages: 8 Emeralds
  • New! Map to find the Temple: 10 Emeralds
  • New! Map for finding the Fortress: 15 Emeralds
  • Map for finding the Underwater Fortress: 28 Emeralds + 1 Compass
  • Map to find the Forest Mansion: 46 Emeralds + 2 Compasses

After the purchase, you should activate the card and follow the marker marked on the map. For example, in the screenshot below you can see how the player found a mine in .

Well, here is an example of how the player found the Needle. We're not entirely sure this worked correctly since the map is designed to find the temple in Minecraft PE. In any case, it's better than nothing.

For many years now, you and I have been involved in a big secret - the secret of the popularity of a game that was released more than 7 years ago. The game attracts more and more new players, new generations of players come to the game. What's the secret? You and I know that the game does not have a logical conclusion, so there is no need to buy Continuations and Additions, as in other games. And the number of licenses sold allows developers to concentrate only on the game. Constant updates with the introduction of new mobs and structures keep experienced players interested in the game, especially when there is a qualitative improvement in the game.
The next update is Minecraft 1.11, just like that.

Minecraft 1.11 - Exploration Update brings to the game:

1. Added Cartographers and Explorer cards.

New village resident - Cartographer, will sell you unique cards“Researchers” with the location of unique Minecraft buildings (Temples, Castles) containing treasures.

Here is a link to the Villager Cartographer and Explorer's Maps presentation. Jeb (the lead developer of Minecraft, who once brought the Red Stone to the game and now leads the project) says:

2. A new block has been added - Observer.
A new device is needed to monitor changes and send an electrical signal when changes occur on the adjacent block.
Crafting the Observer block:

We can say that this is a kind of volume sensor (motion sensor) from real life. It only works on changes that change the id number Minecraft blocks. For example, as in the video, watermelon seeds (id 362) - watermelon (id 103). For players who created chest stores, id numbers have been known for a long time. Link to the presentation of the Observer block:

3. Added: Shulker Shell and Shulker Box.
The shell drops as loot when Shulker dies. Drop rate 50%. 2 shells and a chest allows you to craft the Shulker Chest, which, when broken, does not scatter the contents in all directions, like a regular chest, but stores them in a block. Which, you see, is quite convenient.

Here is a diagram for crafting such a chest:

And here is a link to a video - a presentation of such a chest:

5. Added: return portals in the End world.
Portals on the islands can now transport the player back to the central island (with the Dragon Towers). Reverse portals are generated randomly near End cities.

6. Added curse enchantment.
Added 2 new enchantments:
Wearing spell(Course of Binding). The armor element cannot be removed (in the video below it is a helmet).
Vanishing Spell(Curseof Vanishing). The item does not drop out when the player dies, but disappears (in the video it is a sword).

7. Added Llamas (South American animals from the camel family)
These unique mobs can not only carry chests. Once tamed, they can be covered with carpet (of different colors) to make them more beautiful and differentiate them from each other. If there are more than 1 tamed Llamas, then they create caravans. And for hostile mobs they have their own “weapons”, guess what? Of course, camel spit. They only give loot leather (according to idMinecraft - 334, the same leather as loot from a cow), they do not give meat.

8. Added Forest Mansion.
New natural game structure created during world generation. Found only in forest biomes, and displayed on Explorer maps. The house has 3 floors and consists of many details.

9. Added new mobs inhabiting this house.
Minion (Vindicator). This villager with an ax in one of his hands is a fanatic defender of the next mob.
Evoker. The mini-boss is usually surrounded by defenders - Minions. When he casts a spell, he raises his hands up. Can conjure a “bear trap” that bursts out of the floor and damages the player. Or maybe summon the next mob.
Flying spirit. (Vex). Small flying mobs with an iron sword in their hands. Summoned by the Spellcaster.
Loot. Minions leave drops of emerald after death, and rarely an iron axe. Spellcasters leave behind emeralds and the Totem of the Undying.
Mobs only spawn once during world generation. Respawn is not yet provided.

Video about Forest house and hostile mobs inhabiting it:

10. Added: Totems of the Undying.
Dropped by the Spellcaster mini-boss when he dies. If you hold the totem in one of your hands, then when you receive a mortal wound, the totem prevents death by absorbing the damage.

11. Added a new command – location (/locate).
The command allows you to find the nearest requested object. You can request the coordinates of such objects as: EndCity (Ender's city), Fortress (Fortress Netherworld), Mansion, Mineshaft, Monument, Stronghold, Temple and Village.
Moreover, the coordinates of the Temple can be shown as the coordinates of the nearest Igloo, Witch House, Jungle Temple and Desert Temple.

12. Removed Herobrine.

When creating maps for Minecraft, many people have a desire to create quests, that is, tasks for players - such as “Kill 5 zombies”, “Get 3 diamonds”, etc. Previously, players simply created tasks for players, and the player himself had to count how many he killed, how much he collected, in general, he himself had to control the completion of quests, while any task could be skipped and move on to the next one, you must admit, this was completely wrong. But times are changing, command blocks and very useful commands appeared in the game, now in Minecraft you can do almost anything, but if you know programming and want to learn the game commands, which are not written about so often. In this article, you will learn how to assign goods that a villager sells and buys.

To summon a resident with any goods for sale, use the Summon command. Use latest version Minecraft or use your version command. The commands will be quite long, so not all of them will fit into the chat; in this case, a command block is used.
