RULES OF THE GAME

* A game. Who hid the shell?’’.

The game is very similar to famous game Guess who?''. All cards are laid out on the table, and a shell (drawn on paper) or a coin is hidden under one octopus. The player’s task is to find the mischievous person who hid the object according to the prompts and answers of the presenter.

In this game there are three different options for the difficulty of the task. There are rules for children (from 3.5 years old), and there are also rules for older children (8 years old).

* A game. "Octopus Solitaire"

Try to collect all the cards into one deck with your child. And for them to come together, it is necessary to find similarities between the cards. The more attentive the child is, the faster and easier it will be to play children's solitaire. Laying out cards one at a time in a row, we look for similarities between every second card, and if there is similarity, we move the middle card between them forward, forming a stack.

* A game. "Quartet".

Game for two players. The players' task is to collect four identical (similar) octopuses by exchanging cards. Who is faster

He assembles a quartet, and he wins. Cards are dealt to two participants in the amount of 4 pieces. Taking turns, players exchange one of their cards with the top card in the common deck with the goal of collecting four identical octopuses. Common features may include color, ears, noses, bows, fish or hats.

*A game. "Who Hid"

Any number of players can play. Three cards are laid out on the table, memorized, and one is turned over by the game leader. Whoever quickly remembers which octopus hid, that is, names the name, takes this card for himself. The one who has the most cards at the end of the game will win.

Images of cards.

Number of sheets with maps - 2 pcs. Card size 6x9cm.

Cards in the set - 18 (36). For the second version of the game (“Quartet”), we print two sheets of paper twice so that the octopuses turn out to be pairs.

Rules of the game:

Game “Find the coin”

Preparing for the game. Stir 18 cards (one set) and arrange them on the table in three rows of six cards each. Prepare a coin or a small piece of paper with a shell drawn on it. For fun, you can give all the octopuses names and sign them on the cards.

You can start playing!

Progress of the game. Option 1.
The player turns away or closes his eyes, and the leader hides a coin (shell) under one of the cards.
Now the player has to find the octopus, under which there is a coin, asking questions to the presenter and receiving answers to them, only “YES” and “NO”.
Progress of the game. Option 2.
The beginning of the game is the same as in the first version: the leader hides the coin, and the player looks for it. The search process itself is slightly different.
The player takes any octopus from the table and places it next to him. If there is a coin under it, then the player won on the first move; if not, then the host says how this octopus is different from the one they are looking for. The player takes the next card, already focusing on the leader’s hint. If the shell is under the card, then the player wins on the second move; if not, the presenter again tells how this octopus is not similar to the one needed.

Game "Quartet".

Preparing for the game. There are 36 cards in the game (2 sets). The oldest player shuffles the cards and deals four cards each to himself and his opponent. Cards are taken into the players' hands with the pictures facing them, so that the players do not see each other's cards. The remaining cards in the deck are placed side by side on the table, face down. You can start playing!

Progress of the game.
Players look at their cards and try to find similar octopuses there, that is, pictures with the same characteristics. Signs may be the same color of animals or the presence of bows or hats, or maybe you have three eared octopuses or several octopuses with fish on your hands at once.
After studying the cards, the player who did not deal the cards puts an octopus on the table face down, which does not fit into the company and takes their piles new map. The turn passes to the other player, who does the same procedure with a change of card. This happens until one of the players collects 4 identical octopuses, that is, a group of octopuses with the same interests and characteristics.

“Who hid the shell?”

This version of the game is very similar to the famous game “Guess Who?”. All cards are laid out on the table, and a shell (drawn on paper) or a coin is hidden under one octopus. The player’s task is to find the mischievous person who hid the object according to the prompts and answers of the presenter.

This game has different options for the difficulty of the task. There are rules for children (from 3.5 years old), and there are also rules for older children (8 years old).

Preparing for the game

Shuffle all the cards and place them on the table in three rows of five cards each.
You can start playing!

Progress of the game. Option 1.

The player turns away or closes his eyes, and the leader hides a shell or coin under one of the cards.
Now the player has to find the octopus, under which lies a shell, asking questions to the presenter and receiving answers to them, only “YES” and “NO”.

Game example:

Does this octopus have a hat?
- No.
- He is yellow?
- Yes.
- Does he have fish?
- No.
- Eared?
- Yes.
- This is Lyosha!

Try to find the shell in the least number of questions. The optimal number is 4 questions.
If the player is still small, then unnecessary cards can be removed from the field. That is, first, all the octopuses in hats are removed from the field, then all the octopuses except the yellow ones, then all those holding fish, and at the end, turn over the long-eared octopus Lesha, and under him, to everyone’s joy, find the hidden object.

Progress of the game. Option 2.

The beginning of the game is the same as in the first version: the leader hides the shell, and the player looks for it. The search process itself is slightly different.
The player takes any octopus from the table at random and places it next to him. If there is a shell under it, then the player won on the first move; if not, then the host says how this octopus is different from the one they are looking for. The player takes the next card, already focusing on the leader’s hint. If the shell is under the card, then the player wins on the second move; if not, the presenter again tells how this octopus is not similar to the one needed.

Game example:

The presenter hid the shell under a yellow octopus with a nose and a fish (Petya).
The player takes a green octopus card in a hat (Zhenya).
Host: - No, this is not Zhenya, the octopus who hid the shell does not wear a hat.
The player puts the card towards himself and takes another, a yellow octopus with a nose and a bow.
Host: - No, this is definitely not Zoya, my octopus without a bow.
And so on.

In this version, the presenter also takes part in the game, finding differences between the octopus chosen by the player and his own.

Solitaire with octopuses

Oh, these mischievous and cheerful octopuses! Now try to gather them all into one company. And for them to come together, you need to find similar signs.

Try to collect all the cards into one deck with your child. And for them to come together, it is necessary to find similarities between the cards. The more attentive the child is, the faster and easier it will be to play children's solitaire.

Preparing for the game

Shuffle all the cards and stack them in your left hand.
You can start playing!

Progress of the game

The player takes the top three cards from the deck and places them in a row on the table, face up. Now we determine whether there is any similarity between the third and first cards. If there is similarity (color, noses, ears, fish, bows and hats), then we move the middle card to the first one, and move the third one to the place of the second one. If the octopuses are not similar, then we take out the fourth card and now compare it with the second. This solitaire game is reminiscent of the famous card solitaire for adults, where you need to collect all the cards in one pile.

Game example:

For example, this combination of the first three cards came out. We find how the first and third octopuses are similar, in this case the presence of fish, and transfer the second card to the first.

The fourth card laid out on the table does not have similar characteristics to the second, so we lay out the fifth. It is similar to the third with a hat, therefore we transfer the fourth card to the third in the pile.

Quartet

All the octopuses ran away and quarreled. Try to bring similar octopuses together, because if they have similar interests, it will be easier for them to make friends.

The game is for two players, that is, you can play alone with your mother or with a friend. The players' task is to collect identical (similar) octopuses by exchanging cards. Whoever assembles the quartet the fastest wins.

Preparing for the game

The oldest player shuffles the cards and deals four cards each to himself and his opponent. Cards are taken into the players' hands with the pictures facing them, so that the players do not see each other's cards. The remaining cards in the deck are placed side by side on the table, face down.
You can start playing!

Progress of the game

Players look at their cards and try to find similar octopuses there, that is, pictures with the same details. Details (signs) may include the same color of the animals or the presence of noses, or maybe you have three eared octopuses or several octopuses with fish on your hands at once.
After studying the cards, the player who did not deal the cards puts an octopus on the table, face down, which does not fit into the company and takes a new card from their pile. The turn passes to the other player, who does the same procedure with a change of card. This happens until one of the players collects 4 identical octopuses, that is, a group of octopuses with the same interests and characteristics.

Game example:

For example, one of the players came to such a combination of cards. If you look closely, there are three octopuses in hats, therefore, we change the yellow octopus, in the hope of joining the company of hat lovers.

The game, by its rules, resembles card game poker, where you need to collect a certain combination of cards, only with more colorful pictures and simple rules. However, you need to try to find the same octopuses, because they are all in different poses and different colors, which is very distracting.

Who's hiding?

Any number of players can play. Three cards are laid out on the table, memorized, and one is turned over by the game leader. Whoever quickly remembers which octopus hid, that is, names the name, takes this card for himself. The one who has the most cards at the end of the game will win.
