Oblivion passage of quests tomb of the crusaders. You can search for relics in any order

Sir Junkan will tell you that the Boots of the Crusader are kept at the sanctuary of Kynareth. Look for him in the Great Forest west of the Imperial City. Talk to the servant Evita Vesnia and give your consent to take the test. She will direct you to the Grove of Trials. When you get there, wait a bit. A huge bear will appear and begin to attack you. Now is the time to remember that Kynareth is the goddess of nature, and all animals and plants are under her protection. Do not resist the bear's attack, only move away and heal if necessary. Soon the bear will leave, and the entrance to the cave will open for you - you have passed the test of love for nature. Go into the cave and take the boots. By the way, those who wear Kynareth boots are not attacked by wild animals.

The path of the righteous

Sir Ralvas will tell you that the Mace of Zenithar is in the Leyawiin Church, but only true faith will help you take the mace. The next goal is the Zenithar Church in Leyawiin. After talking with Karodus Oholin, you will learn that once a messenger brought Pelinal’s mace to the village of Leyawiin, and later Saint Kaladas built a church in honor of Zenithar, in which the master is buried. The one who prays at his tomb is the mace.
Go down into the crypt and pray at the saint's tomb and you will find yourself in a strange place. A pedestal is visible ahead - and between you and it there is an abyss. If you are wearing Kynareth Boots, a shimmering path will appear leading directly to the mace.

Taking the mace and leaving the crypt, you will see that the church was attacked by Umaril’s henchmen. Enter the battle while protecting the city residents.

Wisdom of the Ages

Sir Henrik will advise you to look for the Shield in Fort Bullwork, which is located in the Black Forest. This is a dungeon full of traps and puzzles, as well as sorcerers who are hunting for the shield.

As you walk through the tunnels and move from room to room, pay attention to the valves that open something somewhere, listen to the creaking of the slabs in front of the closed gate, read the clue notes you found. Once in the prison of the fort and killing the magicians, you will find Sir Tedret in one of the cells, do not forget to free him. He will tell you the riddle phrase: “When you find yourself under the gaze of the Guardians, Julianos will help you,” and will leave to join the Order of the Nine.

Following further to the hall with a large statue of Julianos and four statues of guards, turn the statues to face the circle on the floor using the valves. As a result, a passage will open. In the room with chests under the statues, you have to solve another puzzle: take items from the main chest and step on the slab in front of the chest, pay attention to what appears in front of the guards. This is the item that needs to be placed in every chest. When you correctly place the items in the chests, a wall will rise. Behind it is the Shield of the Crusader.

Grace of Stendarr

Sir Casimir will tell in the chapel of Stendarr Chorrol The Crusader's gloves slipped from his hands when he killed a beggar in anger. Now your path lies to the Church of Chorrol. The gloves are there, but they are not liftable. Priest Areldur advises speaking with Sir Casimir's descendant Kellen. The poor guy is haunted by a family curse. After talking with Areldur, you learn that the only way to lift the curse is to take it upon yourself. After praying at the central altar and confirming your desire to save Kellen, you will be given the Lay on of Hands ability.

Use this spell on Kellen, removing the curse from him. Now you can safely take the Gloves.

Crusader Sword

Returning to the abbey, you will meet Laton - Sir Roderick's squire, whom you may have met earlier during the pilgrimage. Laton will report that Sir Roderick died trying to find the Sword of the Crusader in the Underpall cave, and he himself escaped. Laton will give you the Crusader Leggings.

Latona will express a desire to become a knight and go with you in search of the relic, you can take it with you.

Head to Underpall Cave. This is not an ordinary cave - hidden in its depths is a Cyrodiilian fort, which is filled with undead. Along the way you will find the body of the unfortunate Sir Roderick. In one of the caves you will have to fight the ghost of Lord Vlindrel, known as the former member of the Order of the Knights of the Nine, Sir Beric. Having defeated the ghost, we take the Sword. But he is cursed because Beric forced the divine relic to serve evil. Before you pick up the blade, be sure to consecrate it at the altar of Arkay's Chapel in Cheydinhal. Upon entering the Temple of Chainhold, you will see that it has also been attacked, and your task is to protect the temple. In addition, you will hear that another church has been desecrated - the Temple of Mara in Bravil.

After receiving each relic, return to the abbey. Each time you return, the number of the Order of the Knights of the Nine will grow, and the premises will be transformed.

The ghost of Sir Berwick, now freed from evil, joined the other ghosts in the abbey's crypt.

The only condition for starting the addon's storyline is that you need to arrive in Anvil. Next, you can follow the classic path of getting into the flow of events, but you can also choose a shortened program (immediately go talk to the Prophet). For those who want to get into the plot of the Knights of the Nine, I will tell you the usual algorithm of actions. First, talk to any guard in the city about the attack on the Chapel of Dibella in Anvil. He will tell you that the priests and priestesses in the chapel were killed and the altars were desecrated. After which you will go to the desecrated temple and personally inspect the crime scene. You don’t have to strain too hard to find any hints about what you should do next, because visiting the temple is a completely optional procedure. The search for further guidance that would help you continue completing the task will inevitably lead you to the Prophet preaching in front of the desecrated chapel. The conversation with him will turn out to be quite long, since in fact the Prophet will have to completely bring you up to date with events. Briefly the story is this. Once upon a time, during the war between people and Ayleids, one of the henchmen of the first human queen Alessia, namely, the Holy Crusader Pelinal Whitestrake, destroyed the evil Ayleid king-mage Umaril the Unfeathered. But the spirit of this king did not disincarnate, but was able to go to the kingdom of the Daedra of Meridia and there continued to exist, hatching a plan for revenge. By the way, this, in principle, should not have come as a surprise, because when he was dying, Pelinal predicted on his deathbed that Umaril would return. From this whole story, it becomes clear as day that the vandalism in the temple is his doing, and Umaril is not going to stop at the Chapel of Dibella in Anvil. The prophet will immediately tell you that to save Cyrodiil from this scourge, you need a noble knight devoted with all his soul to serving the nine gods (or rather, eight plus one). The task of this noble knight will be to find the holy armor and weapons of Pelinal Whitestrake, since only with their help can the Ayleid king Umaril be destroyed. Apart from you, of course, no one else in Cyrodiil is ready to contract for this godly work. Immediately after you agree to search for ancient shrines, the Prophet will ask you a provocative question: “Are you a worthy knight?” You don’t have to particularly brag about your achievements, they won’t help you, it’s better, on the contrary, to say something crazy, for example, that you are a fan of Sithis, or at worst, just admit that you are unworthy. Next, the Prophet will tell you that the usual procedure when searching for armor (yes, don’t flatter yourself, you are not the first handsome guy who is looking for holy armor) is to go and pay your respects to all nine gods of Tamriel, after which he will hand you a map indicating the location of their sanctuaries. From now on you are considered a pilgrim of the “Nine Deities”. The order in which you visit the sanctuaries of the Gods does not matter, and it is also not necessary to visit exactly those sanctuaries that are indicated on your map. The fact is that each of the nine gods has not one, but three sanctuaries. Accordingly, when making a pilgrimage, you can visit any of the three, although after completing the main storyline of the game, some of them will be destroyed. If you have already visited any sanctuaries before you were given this task, then past pilgrimages to them will be counted as already completed, but without corresponding display in the diary. As soon as you make a pilgrimage to the last of the sanctuaries, you will suddenly move from the earth’s firmament to the sky-high heights.

Among the clouds, you will meet the spirit of the long-dead knight Pelinal Whitestrake, who will speak to you with a long monologue. The essence of the Crusader's speech will be that the search for his armor must begin from the place where he was buried. After talking with Pelinal Whitestrake, you will again find yourself on the earth's surface, becoming a member of the Knights of the Nine order with the rank of Knight Errant. Now you can go in search of the tomb of the Holy Crusader. It is located southeast of the Imperial City in the waters of Lake Rumar, near the bridge over the Niben River. Once you arrive at the designated area, dive under the water and begin combing the bottom of the lake in search of the entrance to the Ayleid ruins called "Vanua". Once inside the dungeon, move forward until you reach the entrance directly to the "Shrine of the Crusader". After going a short section of the way to the Sanctuary, you will exit through a hole in the wall to the room where the “Crusader’s Helmet” is kept. Next, jump down and search the remains of the skeleton, from which you will have to find Sir Amiel's diary, ring and key. After reading the diary, you will learn that Sir Amiel was a member of the Knights of the Nine order, and that this order set as its goal the search for armor and weapons that previously belonged to the holy crusader Pelinal Whitestrake. Also from the diary you will learn that in the former residence of the order, in the “Abbey of the Nine,” the “Breastplate of the Crusader” was kept. You will, of course, need to visit this abbey and try to get the Breastplate, for which you will need the ring that you found among the remains of Sir Amiel. But these are all matters for the future, but for now you need to pick up his Helmet from the Crusader’s tomb. This Helmet is located in the same room as the remains of Sir Amiel, but on a hill, behind a small fence. If you are a good acrobat, then it will not be difficult for you to jump up. Otherwise, you will have to go behind the Helmet through the Lost Catocombs, for which the key found on Sir Amiel will be useful. One way or another, you will eventually have to take possession of the Crusader's Helmet, after which your path will lie in the abbey for his Cuirass.

It is located in the "Western Forest", at the northern borders of Elsweyr, west of Bravil and southeast of Skingrad. When you reach the Abbey, go inside the house and turn immediately left. There you will see an eight-pointed star drawn on the floor, which you need to activate. To do this, insert Sir Amiel's ring into the center of the star (of course, this action will take place automatically), after which the floor on which the star is drawn will begin to go down, ultimately forming a staircase. Go down it and you will find yourself in the basement of the Abbey, passing through which you will find yourself in the “Abbey Crypt”. Now don’t rush to explore this room, but first get ready for battle. Having completed your preparation, you can go to the Crusader Breastplate, which hangs in the middle of one of the walls in the most visible place. When approaching the Cuirass, the ghost of Sir Amiel will appear in front of you and stop you. He will say that to obtain this Crusader relic, you must fight all the Knights guarding it. There will be eight of them in total, including Sir Amiel himself. Next, you will sequentially fight with each of them, after which the path to the Cuirass will be open to you. In addition, in the Order of the Knights of the Nine you will be awarded the next title of “Commander”, the meaning of which will become clear to you later. Having obtained the next Crusader relic, you can talk with the ghostly knights about where to get the rest of the armor and weapons of Saint Pelinal Whitestrake.

To start searching for the Crusader Boots, talk to Sir Junkan. The knight will tell you that the boots are under the jurisdiction of the goddess Kynareth, and to find out how to get them, you need to talk with her followers. He will also tell you about the location of the sanctuary of Kynareth, where her servants arrive. The sanctuary is located west of the Waterfront (Imperial City area), northwest of the intersection of the Red Ring Road and the Golden Road, slightly north of Heinoth Cave. When you arrive at the sanctuary, talk to Evita Vesnia, who will tell you that in order to receive the Crusader Boots you will need to pass the Kynareth test in the “Grove of Trials”. The grove is located not far from the sanctuary, a little to the west of it. You can recognize this place by its characteristic circular arrangement of trees. After some time, Bear will come out into the clearing where the test will take place. Your task is to stand and not twitch, the most you can do is say: “Preved Medved!” The bear will beat you for half a minute and calm down, after which the test will be passed. Further, near a large boulder located in a clearing, a stone wall will move to the side, and you will see the entrance to the Grotto of Kynareth. Enter it and go down until you reach the slab on which the Crusader Boots stand. The main thing is not to start attacking the sprigans standing peacefully on the sides. Just take your boots and leave the cave. At this point, the task of obtaining the relic is considered completed, and now you can return to the “Abbey of the Nine”. Although if you have taken on quests to obtain several relics at once, you can immediately go after the next one. Perhaps upon returning to the Abbey you will meet Evita Vesnia, who will express a desire to join the Knights of the Nine order. I think there is no point in rejecting her request.

Talk to Sir Ralvas, who will tell you how to get the Zenithar Mace. To do this, you will have to go to Llavin to the Zenithar chapel and pray in the tomb of St. Kolodas. After which you will have a vision in which you will have to demonstrate how strong your faith is. Before you go to Llavin, do not forget to take with you the Crusader Boots that you obtained in the previous task. As soon as you enter the Zenithar chapel in Llavina, a certain Karodus Oholin will immediately approach you, who will tell you that he also wanted to pass the test of faith at the tomb of St. Kolodas, but nothing worked out for him, on this, in principle, yours The conversation will end with that. Go down to the basement of the chapel (you can clear it of ghosts at the same time) and go to the far end of the hall to the burial place of Saint Kolodas. Pray at his coffin to begin the process of testing the strength of your faith, after which you will find yourself on a platform suspended in space, and the Mace of Zenithar, for which you came to Llavin, will be in front of you on the top of a column (also suspended in oblivion). The problem is that you will not be able to jump to the column with the Mace by any means. This puzzle can be solved quite simply - put on the Crusader Boots, and a path will appear in front of you leading directly to the Zenithar Mace. As soon as you take possession of the Mace, you will immediately be transported back to the basement of the Zenithar Chapel. At the exit from the basement, an unpleasant surprise will await you; the chapel will be attacked by Umaril's envoys with the aim of desecrating the chapel. You will have to help the chapel parishioners and Llavin guards deal with these demons. As soon as they are destroyed, Korodus Ocholin will immediately run up to you and ask you to accept him into the Order of the Knights of the Nine. Decide for yourself whether you need this voluntary assistant or not, but there is no point in refusing. At this stage, the pattern of acquiring new members of the order becomes clear, as well as the meaning of your title “Commander”. All current and future members of the Order of the Knights of the Nine will arrive at the order’s base in the Abbey of the Nine.

This time you will need to talk to Sir Henrik, who will tell you how to get the Crusader Shield. Once upon a time, Sir Henrik and his comrades decided to protect the Shield of the Crusader from the attacks of dark forces. To do this, he took him to Fort Bullwork in the southeast of Cyrodiil and began building security systems around the Shield. Sir Henrik was unable to complete this work, but his comrades were quite capable of finishing the job they started. Now you will need to go to Fort Bullwork and pick up the Crusader Shield from there. The fort is located northeast of Lyavin near the border with Black Marsh. Arriving at the place, you will encounter quite a large number of hostile magicians. Upon entering the fort, in one of its rooms, you will find a note explaining their presence. It turns out that the magicians, just like you, want to get to the Shield of the Crusader, and they even managed to find a way to get to the lower levels of the fort. Having used the system of levers and opened the way for further advancement, you will also encounter this problem. You will need to lift the grate that closes the passage for further advancement, and this can only be done by pressing the buttons located on the floor. The note you found contains a hint on how to do this. If you look closely, you will see lit candles on the sides of each row of buttons; their number indicates which button in the row you need to step on in order to select the correct combination. Buttons are counted from left to right. Having selected the combination and gone to the lower levels, you will almost immediately find a person locked in a cell. He will be the knight Sir Tedret, who, like you, was looking for the Shield of the Crusader with noble intentions, until he was captured by sorcerers. He will kindly share with you the meager knowledge that may be useful to you in solving the puzzles of the fort, but he will refuse to help further due to severe physical exhaustion. After the conversation, he will go to improve his poor health, and the next time you will meet him in the Abbey of the Nine. Next, you will have to move through the dungeons of the fort for some time until you come out into a large hall with a statue of the god Julianos. Near the Julianus Monument you will find four more small statues located at the corners of an imaginary square, in the center of which a circle with an incomprehensible symbol will be drawn. Here you will remember Sir Tedret’s hint: “When the eyes of the guards are watching you, Julianos will help you.” Now the task becomes quite clear - you need to rotate the statues so that they face the drawn circle. To turn the statues accordingly, there is a special lever at the base of each of them. As soon as you turn the statues in the right direction, the secret door will open and you can go further. Soon the tunnel will lead you to a small hall, where you will have to solve another quick-witted puzzle. There are eight statues in the hall, which are turned to face the wall, and near each of them there is a small stone chest. In the center of the hall there is the same stone container as near the statues, but significantly larger. In it you will find one of eight things related to a certain Rodgor: a book, a hammer, a skull, a jewel, a sword, a cup, a helmet or a stone. You will have to put it in one of the small chests located near the statues, depending on which of them it belongs to. If the result is positive (that is, the chest and the corresponding item match), the statue should turn around to face you. Acting according to this algorithm, you will have to turn all eight statues to face you. So that you do not waste unnecessary time experimenting with determining the correspondence of objects and chests, I will immediately list the containers according to Rodgar’s belongings to them. On the left, starting from the one closest to the entrance, there will be chests for a book, hammer, skull, jewelry, and on the right - for a sword, cup, helmet, stone. As soon as all the statues turn to face you, a passage will open in the center of the hall, which will lead you to the next hall, where you will find the Crusader Shield. Take it and exit the fort through the opened side tunnel. This ends the quest, and you can return to the Abbey to receive the next task of finding another Crusader relic.

In order to start searching for the Crusader Gloves, you will need to talk to Sir Casimir. The knight will tell you a sad story about how long ago he lost this relic. In years past, he served as a priest in the chapel of Stendarr in Chorrol and one day, unable to restrain himself, he hit a beggar who visited the temple every day. After which the Crusader Gloves that Sir Casimir was wearing fell from his hands to the floor, and he himself felt weak throughout his body. From then on, Stendarr’s curse did not leave him for the rest of his life, and to this day not a single person, even the strongest person, could pick up the Gloves that fell to the floor. Now you have to go to the Chorrol Chapel and ask the local priests about the Crusader Gloves in the hope that they will show you a way to pick them up. There will be only one servant of Stendarr in the chapel - the Altmer Areldur. He will tell you once again the sad story of Sir Casimir, but he will mention one nuance, that the curse fell not only on the servant who hit the beggar, but also on his entire family, while continuing the conversation he will casually mention a certain Kellen. From further questioning you will find out that Kellen is indeed a distant descendant of Sir Casimir, and that he recently arrived at the chapel in the hope of getting rid of the family curse. At the end of the conversation, Areldur will advise you to talk with Kellen himself, who is located downstairs in the chapel hall. Kellen won’t tell you anything particularly new, but he will tell you his suspicions that Areldur is trying to hide something from him. Return to Areldur and challenge him to a more frank conversation. The priest will tell you that he knows a way to free Kellen from the curse, but this will require a lot of self-sacrifice. The essence of getting rid of Kellen is simple - you just need to take his curse upon yourself. To do this, after talking with Areldur, go to the main altar of the chapel, express in prayer your willingness to take upon yourself Kellen’s illness, and you will be given the “Lay on of Hands” ability. Return to the chapel hall and cast this spell on Kellen, after which he will joyfully jump out of bed shouting that he has gotten rid of his illness. (Of course, you immediately began to wonder what kind of dirty trick you took upon yourself in order to get rid of Kellen. From now on, your reserve of strength will be replenished much more slowly than usual.) Now you can proceed to the Crusader Gloves themselves and calmly pick them up from the floor. This concludes your task, and you are advised to proceed back to the Abbey in order to find out where to find the last two relics of the Crusader. If you talk to Areldur before leaving the chapel, you will find out that he is in search of the meaning of his existence, and I think it will not be a surprise for you if I say that after some time he will arrive at the Abbey and ask you to accept him into the Order of the Knights Nine."

Upon arrival at the Abbey, a surprise awaits you. As soon as you cross the threshold of the house, a certain Lanton will run up to you with the news that some Sir Roderick is dead. The point here is that along one of the branches of the plot you could easily cross paths with a novice knight like you, Sir Roderick and his squire Lanton. And although your meeting with them may not have taken place earlier, this does not negate the sequence of events that developed in parallel with your search for the Crusader’s relics. As Lanton will tell you further, after making a pilgrimage to all nine shrines, Sir Roderick also had a vision, but very different from yours. It was not the spirit of Pelinal Whitestrake that appeared to him, but the spirit of Sir Beric, who asked him to rest. To avoid confusion, it is worth saying that Sir Berwick's last name was Vlindrel, which is why he is often called Lord Vlindrel, especially during the period when he followed the path of evil. Further, from Lanton’s chaotic speech, it becomes clear that he and Sir Roderick found the Underpall cave, in which the ghost of Lord Vlindrel lives, and they also learned that this ghost guards the Leggings and Sword of the Crusader. As a result of exploring the cave, they found both relics, but during the battle with the ghost of Lord Vlindrel for the possession of the Sword of the Crusader, Sir Roderick died heroically. Lanton miraculously managed to escape and take out of the cave the Leggings of Pelinal Whitestrake, which he will give to you at the end of his story. After this, Lanton will immediately ask to be accepted into the Order of the Knights of the Nine so that he can serve the cause of eradicating evil. In addition, in the vicinity of the Abbey you can meet a certain Nordling Geimund, who will also ask you to accept him, along with his brother Gukimir, into the ranks of the members of the Knights of the Nine order. As soon as all matters with the acceptance of new members of the order are completed, you can go to the Underpall cave to recapture the Crusader's sword, as well as put to rest the ghost of Lord Vlindrel.

Underpall Cave is located between Chorrol and Bruma, just north of the Orange Road and northeast of the Ayleid ruins of Morand. Soon after you enter the cave, an interesting feature will be revealed; it turns out that an entire fortress is hidden inside the cave. Enter it, and when you reach the first fork, turn not right or left, but back. The fact is that just to the right of the corridor from which you came out, there is a tunnel leading to the location you need, called the “Room of Reflections”, but it is easy not to notice it and go for a walk in circles around the Anderpall fortress. In the “Room of Reflections” you will also come across a fork, but no matter which way you take, you will still come to the goal, namely the ghost of Lord Vlindrel, wandering along the shore of an underground lake. It won’t differ in anything special from the other ghosts, so be careful not to accidentally pass by. After killing him, take the Sword, the last relic of the Crusader. Now you need to proceed to the chapel of Cheydenhal and remove the filth from the Sword that remained on it after being in the clutches of the ghost of Lord Vlindrel. In the chapel you will be met by a small group of Umaril Aurorans, once again trying to desecrate the holy place. Kill these creatures of evil, after which you can begin to cleanse the Sword of the Crusader. To do this, you just need to pray at the main altar in the chapel. From this moment on, it is considered that you have completely collected all the equipment of the Holy Crusader, and now you can return to the base, to the Abbey of the Nine, to discuss the issue of destroying Umaril with your knights.

On the way to the Abbey, Sir Tedret will meet you and inform you about the arrival of the Prophet, and also tell you that the Prophet has gathered all the knights in the Abbey chapel for a farewell sermon. Go to the chapel, but before you start a conversation with the Prophet, I advise you to accept the rest of the hungry as knights, although of course, in general, the question is left to your discretion. The Prophet will say that the hour has come when you must set out to destroy Umaril the Unfeathered in his lair in the Ayleid ruins of Garlas Malatar. But to prevent a repeat of the situation a thousand years ago, when Umaril’s body was defeated and his spirit disappeared into one of the Daedric planes of existence, the Prophet will cast on you a spell given to him by the god Talos himself, which is called the “Blessing of Talos.” With the help of this spell, after you destroy the physical shell of Umaril, you can follow his spirit to other layers of existence and completely destroy him there. Upon completion of this procedure, you will become not just a “Commander”, but already a Holy Crusader, the same as Pelinal Whitestrake was in his time. In addition, you will learn that you will not be going to storm the Umaril fortress alone, but that you will be helped by a newly formed team of knights of the order that you lead. All of them will be waiting for you near the Umarila fortress, which is located at the westernmost point of Cyrodiil, on the shores of the Abecin Sea.

The knights of the Order of the Nine will arrive at Umaril’s lair almost simultaneously with you. I want to warn you right away that if you suddenly decide to clear Garlas Malatar alone, then nothing will work out for you; the knights will still not listen to your instructions and will rush into battle soon after you enter the Ayleid ruins. In Umaril's lair, the only opponents you will meet are his henchmen, the Aurorans. In the first part of the dungeon, the Aurorans will not cause you any particular difficulties, but in the second part of the dungeon, called Keisel, an unpleasant surprise will await you. The Aurorans will die safely here too, but after a while they will begin to come to life again, so I would advise not to waste energy on them, but to immediately go to the source of this phenomenon. It will be difficult for you not to notice the ball standing on the stand, glowing with a purple light; this is the source of power that ensures the regeneration of your opponents. When you, having broken through the ranks of the Aurorans, destroy this ball, something strange will happen. Time will seem to freeze, and the purple curtain that blocked your path will disappear. Now you can safely move on to the last location of Garlas Malatar called Karak Abaram. There you will meet your sworn enemy - Umaril the Unfeathered. It won't be too difficult to kill him, I would even say that he is not much stronger than any of his Aurorans. As you were told earlier, your mission does not end with the death of just one bodily shell; now you must follow him to another plane of existence in order to completely destroy Umaril. Cast the Blessing of Talos spell on yourself, and soon you will be transported to another world under the clouds. Here you will have to repeat your battle with Umaril on the ground, and even here he again will not show any miracles of martial art. Having destroyed Umaril, you will be transported to the crypt of the nine, after flying a little over the mortal earth (the most beautiful view!). In the crypt, Sir Amiel will say words of gratitude to you, after which he will disappear into thin air. However, one more ghost will still be in the crypt - the spirit of Sir Beric. Listen to the words of gratitude that he will tell you for the liberation and cleansing of his soul, after which you can go to the surface. Sir Tedret will be waiting for you there, who will ask all the other knights to unanimously chant to you “Hip-hip, Hurray!” All dead “named” knights of the first set will be replaced by faceless people with the names “Knight of Nine”. With this, in principle, your mission to restore the Order of the Knights of the Nine and destroy the ancient evil is completed.

I would also like to note that if you gain notoriety in the future, you will not be able to wear the armor and weapons of the Holy Crusader. To whitewash yourself, you will have to make a pilgrimage again to all nine sanctuaries of the Gods.

Three millennia ago, at the dawn of the Alessian Empire, the legendary Ayleid mage-king Umaril the Unfeathered was defeated by his sworn enemy, the Holy Crusader Pelinal Whitestrake. However, on his deathbed, the hero predicted that Umaril would return to the mortal world in order to overthrow the gods of Tamriel and thereby avenge his defeat...

The Trouble Begins...and Continues

My mother once told me: “Mellie, baby, if you think things are going too well, don’t be too quick to rejoice. Wait until the gods remember you." All twenty-eight years of my life, I considered these words to be a simple warning - they say, be careful, do not lose your vigilance, and everything else in the same spirit. But now, kneeling before the altar in the chapel of the Abbey of the Nine, I begin to think that there was much more hidden behind them than I could have imagined...

Then I had just returned from my wanderings through the northern provinces of the empire. Having successfully sold off my trophies in the Imperial City, I counted the coins in my wallet and decided that I was quite capable of affording a short vacation. Where? What a question! Of course, by the sea. The pearl of the cities of Cyrodiil - Anvil - was waiting for me. After spending the night at the Tiber Septim Hotel (so much fun!), I hit the road.

The sentry at the gates of Anvil glanced sideways at the scabbard with a dagger attached to my belt and advised me to always keep the weapon with me. I smiled at him. Poor guy. I was completely exhausted in the service. Well, what could threaten me in a city where Hieronymus Lex himself, recently transferred from the capital, kept order? That is, in fact, anything, of course, from thieves to the outbreak of a cholera epidemic, but, in the end, am I on vacation or not?!

Pogrom in Zhmerinka. Or rather, in the chapel.

The city seemed to me both quiet and excited. There were almost no people on the streets, but sometimes I noticed groups of people and elves nervously whispering to each other. I approached one of these groups, but could only make out: “attack on the chapel,” “prophet,” “Umaril.” What happened here?! A large crowd had gathered near the chapel, over which a shrill, rattling voice was heard. Without listening, I approached the guard. “I do not advise you to enter the chapel, madam,” he shook his head. “Unless you have very strong nerves.” Well, I never complained about nerves, and therefore, firmly pushing away the representative of the authorities with my hand, I opened the heavy wooden door... Damn it! I hastily picked up the hem of my dress because the floor was literally covered in blood. Stained glass windows with images of the Nine are broken, some of the small altars are broken, corpses are everywhere. Around the main altar, on the floor, unfamiliar runes are written in blood, forming a regular circle. The smell of decay almost made me sick. I slammed the door and leaned against it. “I warned you, madam,” the guard remarked mournfully. Suppressing the urge to send him to Oblivion, I pushed through the crowd to see who was going broke there. A tall, white-haired old man in a shabby robe was saying something about the gods, the end of the world, crusaders, pilgrims and ancient prophecies. The usual nonsense. I interrupted his fiery speech and demanded an explanation - preferably clear and without fanaticism. Umaril is back, he said. Umaril the Unfeathered, the mage-king of the Ayleids, defeated at the beginning of time by the hero Pelinal Whitestrake, a comrade of Saint Alessia. The Prophet also said that the bloody runes meant: “By the power of Umaril the Unfeathered, the gods were to be overthrown.” Anticipating another tirade, I asked if there was a way to stop this dead king. “He who will be able to fight Umaril who will find and reassemble the relics of the Holy Crusader, he who is worthy to bear them - and only he.”

Eh, my vacation is gone... I wonder if women are accepted into the crusaders?

Pilgrim's Path

Curiosity will kill me like a cat. The Prophet ordered a pilgrimage to the wayshrines of the Nine and issued a map with the altars marked on it. “Pray,” he said. “And perhaps the gods will speak to you.” I thanked the elder, still spent a day resting, and the next morning, putting on my rather tired armor, I left the eastern gate of Anvil, heading to the sanctuary of Arkay, which, by the way, is north of the Brina Cross tavern.

From the flowering fields of Anvil to the snowy wastes of Bruma, from the breathtaking views of Lake Rumare - to the hot swampy forests of Leyawiin, poisoned by the proximity of Black Marsh. Fortunately, the Prophet's map was extremely accurate, and I hardly got lost. Arkay, Mara, Dibella, Akatosh, Julianos, Kynareth, Talos, Zenithar and Stendarr - these names beat in my head like an alarm bell. I lost count of the days I spent on the road, my hair was saturated with the smell of dust, my boots were covered with mud from all seven counties... Nine times I prayed for a blessing, and one after another the gods granted it.

Early on the gray morning of the 30th of the Month of Harvest, I knelt at the last shrine. And I had a strange vision - as if I was elevated above the clouds, and the hero Pelinal himself spoke to me among the unearthly distances. And the Holy Crusader told me that there was little he could do to help me.

Honestly, I wanted to hit him, even though he is a spirit and seems to be incorporeal. But at least the dead hero told us where to start searching for the relics, and showed the way to the tomb that was built a long time ago at the site of his death. This tomb now lay hidden by the waters of Lake Rumare, where the Upper Niben originates.

I ran across the bridge, stopped hesitantly and leaned over the parapet. Below, at a considerable depth, one could see white and green ruins in the Ayleid style. No, but it’s a bit high to jump! And how much I don’t like swimming in chain mail... But, fortunately, my plans were precisely to sink to the bottom like a stone.

On a note: there is no need to feverishly stock up on water breathing potions - the ruins are only flooded at the very beginning.

I didn't encounter any particular surprises inside. I quickly crossed the ghostly greenish halls and dived into the wall passage to the Sanctuary of the Crusader. On the floor of one of the halls I found a skeleton crumbling from time to time. A sword and a strangely shaped scarlet shield lay nearby. Careful not to disturb the fragile bones, I searched my grisly find. My efforts were rewarded with an old key, an intricately crafted ring, and—most valuable—the diary of a long-dead ruin explorer. Sir Amiel, that's his name. He was once the head of the Order of the Knights of the Nine. These knights were precisely responsible for storing the relics of the Crusader. Well... no, of course, I guess that I’m not the first on this path, but so is the whole order!.. Turning the diary towards the light, I read on the brittle pages that the ancient abbey of the order was located in the Western Forest.

Behind me, in the glow of green flames, rested the Helm of the Crusader. Go ahead, girl! Unlocking the pitifully creaking grate with the key, I ran on. Alas, it soon became clear that the direct passage to the Helmet was blocked. We had to make our way through the catacombs. Ugh, how I hate the undead... What a disgusting thing!

I can't believe it... I'm holding it in my hands! The legendary Helmet of the hero Pelinal is winged, with long narrow slits for the eyes. Well, now definitely get away from here!

Snorting and spitting, I emerged from the water. Evening had already come, and the setting sun turned the surface of the lake into a stream of molten gold. I whistled to my horse, jumped into the saddle and rode west along the Ring Road.

I will never forget the first time I saw the light gray walls of the ancient abbey - its clear, slender lines, the graceful turret of the chapel. Time and the Western Forest tried in vain to consume him. Even the access road was preserved quite well. Inside, however, desolation reigned. In a niche on the floor was laid out a mysterious symbol - an eight-pointed star with scarlet diamonds crowning the rays. What kind of hole is this? Come on, come on... That's right. Sir Amiel's ring was a perfect fit. Let's see what door this “key” opens... Ay! The star suddenly fell down in steps leading... well, now we'll see where.

Basement. Training dummies, an extinguished bugle... yeah, a door! Behind it was a crypt. Ahead I saw what I came here for - the Crusader Breastplate. However, as soon as I walked out into the middle of the crypt, the niche with the Breastplate was shrouded in a bluish fog, and I was surrounded by ghosts. They were, as I realized, knights who were members of the order, and they were not going to give up the relic without a fight! One by one they came forward and drew their blades against me. Hmmm, eight hefty idiots against one fragile girl? Okay, not very fragile. Still somehow not knightly. And they are serious opponents; without a well-placed block they cannot be approached. At last Sir Amiel himself did me the honor of engaging with me. But he soon collapsed on the stone floor. What, fine sirs, didn’t expect? In my family, girls are raised equally with boys. Of course, you are knights, but I’ve been wielding a sword since I was three years old.

The magical fog faded, and the Breastplate (although more like chain mail) of the Crusader softly enveloped my figure. I did a few practice lunges. Almost does not restrict movement. Well, it’s necessary, but it seems like it was done on a man... Artifact, one word!

Let's see, however, what the late sirs have to tell us... Sir Casimir reported that the Gloves of the Crusader are currently in the chapel of Stendarr in Chorrol, in the same place where they flew off the hands of the owner long ago when he hit a beggar who turned to him. He added something else about the curse, but I didn’t listen to the end. Sir Ralvas said that I would find the Mace of Zenithar in the chapel of Leyawiin if my faith was strong enough. Quite vague, of course, but better than nothing. For the Shield of the Crusader, Sir Henrik sent me to Fort Bullwork, which is in the southeast of Cyrodiil, near the border with Black Marsh. And finally, Sir Junkan told me something that could lead me to the Boots of Pelinal. True, he did not say anything specific, he only advised to find the servants of Kynareth in the sanctuary on the edge of the Great Forest. Well, yeah, you'll have to run around a lot...

In search of lost relics

Well, let’s start with Kynareth.

It is important: In principle, you can search for relics in any order, but the Kynareth test should be completed before you go to Leyawiin.

Bridge over the abyss.

Oh, I was tormented with this sanctuary, I left half of the Great Forest, but I found it - to the west of the Ayleid ruins of Fanakasekul, on the very shore of Lake Rumare. After talking with a priestess named Evita Vesnia, I found out that Kynareth should test me before bestowing the Boots, but the essence of the test - why didn’t this surprise me? - she, Evita, is unknown. “Fear and respect nature in all its manifestations,” the priestess admonished and pointed her hand to the west. - The Grove of Trials is located there. Go, my child, and may the blessing of Kynareth be with you."

At first the grove seemed empty to me, but a minute later a huge brown bear waddled out from behind a boulder. I turned pale and reached for the sword, but remembered Evita’s warning. Am I being asked to respect this beast?! Oops... The bear seemed to consider the girl frozen in front of him to be a suitable snack and attacked. Damn it, these paws can tear me in half! I called upon my limited knowledge of the School of Restoration to help. And just when this... forest infection had almost achieved its goal, a huge boulder on the side of me smoothly sank into the ground, opening the entrance to the cave.

How beautiful... I have never seen trees growing right inside a grotto. On the altar stood the goal of my path... or rather, the first of the goals. Smiling nervously at the spriggan watching me closely, I grabbed the Boots. Where to now? The closest was Chorrol. Well, Gloves are Gloves.

Out of curiosity, I tried to lift them, but with the same success I could have tried to push this chapel off its foundation. I looked around for the local clergyman. An incredibly polite elf, who introduced himself as Areldur, willingly told me about a certain Kellen, a descendant of Sir Casimir and the bearer of his curse. Something nasty again... But there’s nothing to do. After asking permission, I went to see this Kellen. He was a terrible sight. Perhaps even the city beggars looked less emaciated and pitiful. I didn’t learn anything new from my conversation with him, but Kellen again sent me to Areldur. I wonder if I'm their errand girl? The elf tried to avoid answering, but I pushed him against the wall. If a woman wants something... especially a warrior woman... Ha! Finally Areldur admitted that the only way to lift Kellen's curse was to take it upon himself, but he personally was unable to do this. He's a coward, to put it simply. Well, he can be understood.

I stopped thoughtfully near the altar. Maybe it's not so scary after all? Although if you remember what poor Kellen looks like... I shuddered. She looked at the Gloves lying surrounded by candles. Ah, death for the goat! I knelt down and said a prayer to Stendarr, after which I returned to the unlucky young man and took his hands in mine. Oh, Oblivion take me!.. It seemed that I took the entire weight of the sky on my shoulders. Congratulations, Merelanta, you have once again found a major migraine on your head... The guy, apparently, went a little crazy with happiness and ran around the chapel like a frightened hare, filling the space with joyful cries.

Areldur's eyes widened as I effortlessly picked up the Gauntlets, and muttered something about having to rethink my purpose. Well, yes, it’s not every day that a miracle happens before your eyes.

Now my path lay in Leyawiin. The southernmost county of Cyrodiil greeted me with suffocating heat mixed with pouring rain. No, it is absolutely impossible to exist here in armor! After resting at the hotel and changing clothes, I headed to the Zenithar chapel. Immediately upon entering, a certain guy named Karodus Oholin attacked me and showered me with a hail of questions about the relics of the Crusader. I got rid of the annoying ex-soldier, but first I found out that I should pray at the tomb of Saint Caladas and then maybe I’ll see where the Mace is. In search of additional information, I turned to a local priest. Well, he’s far from the honey-loving Areldur... What a boor! Having difficulty resisting spitting in his impudent Dunmer face, I snorted and went down to the basement.

Prayer took me to an unknown and very strange place. Most of all it looked like the ruins of a fort hanging in the void. The darkness was slightly dispersed only by clouds of ghostly luminous fog and stars that looked like darting fireflies... or maybe not stars, the demon would make them out. Ahead, about a hundred feet away, the Mace shone. “Let your faith guide you,” Sir Ralvas’ voice sounded in my head. Do I believe strongly enough for this faith to become a bridge under my feet?..

I closed my eyes and took a step into the abyss...

I woke up in the chapel, near the tomb of Saint Caladas. Of course, I didn’t have a mace with me. Yes, I haven't felt such a fool for a long time. And then a thought came into my long-suffering head. No wonder they told me so much about the close connection between Zenithar and Kynareth! So, maybe the key, or rather the bridge to the Mace, was lying in my backpack all this time?

I decidedly changed my shoes. Steel boots combined with a silk dress in a very original way, but this time wisps of whitish fog formed an unreliable-looking path, but still a path. I took the Mace, transported myself to the tomb, pushed away the curious rat that had poked its head under my feet, and left the basement.

To immediately find yourself in the thick of battle! Some... people - not people?.. in golden armor attacked the chapel. The newly acquired Mace, however, quickly cooled their ardor. When the raiders were dealt with, Karodus Oholin, impressed by my military talents, expressed a desire to come under my command. Well, if this warrior absolutely needs someone to command him... I sent him to the abbey. At the same time, let him restore order there, or something.

There was one last place left. Fort Bullworks. I had to look for him too. From Leyawiin north to Blankenmarsh, and then east almost to the very border with Black Marsh. Upon arrival, I discovered that I had competition. Unknown sorcerers tried to prevent me from entering the fort. May they rest in peace... but what am I doing? Better press them down properly!

At the fort I found a note saying that the Shield was undoubtedly here. Already good. It also contained cryptic advice to pay attention to the candles along the walls as I passed through the gate to the lower levels. In the room with the note, I turned the first lever. The second was found in the upper passage, overlooking the hall with a drawbridge. I ran across the bridge and stopped in front of four rows of pressure plates. What did the note say about candles? Left, middle, right, left... Yes! The bars are up!

Along the way I came across prison cells, and one of them was not empty. The gloomy Redguard, who called himself Sir Tedret, decided to join me in gratitude for the liberation. Let him, I don’t feel sorry for him. Finally, he said the following: “When the eyes of all the guards are watching you, Julianos will grant you his blessing.” I have no idea what the point is, but we'll figure it out as we go. Forward!

After much wandering, I found myself in a huge hall with successive drawbridges. The control lever was right there, I turned it and was about to step onto the bridge, but something made me raise my head. Well it is! Darts rained down from above. Seizing the moment, I slipped to the second bridge. Above him were the same traps. Ugh. Passed.

Another hall. What a huge fort! There are four statues, five to be exact, but only four are equipped with handles with which they can be turned. The eyes of the guards, hmmm... And here is a suitable platform to stand on. Let me deploy these... guards. Let them look. I have nothing to hide.

The flames in the braziers flared scarlet and went out. A secret door opened in the wall. The next catacombs... so that they were empty, they were tired. And the hall. There are already eight statues, and everyone has shyly turned to the wall. In front of each there is some kind of box. The staircase has two flights, and in the middle there is a huge stone chest. Curiosity is not a vice, is it? Well, well... what's there? Yeah, the cup of a certain Rodgar.

As soon as I stood on the pressure plate next to the chest, one of the statues lit up brightly and an illusion of a hammer appeared in front of it. I placed the goblet in the chest in front of the statue. The chest was immediately empty, but nothing changed. But Rodgar's helmet appeared in the large chest. I wonder who he was, this Rodgar? Now, when you press the button, another statue appears, and a huge ruby sparkles in front of it. Yeah, I think I'm starting to understand the system here...

It is important: things appear in a large chest in random order, but the corresponding statues are always the same. The order from left to right when facing the door is: Varla Stone, Helmet, Cup, Sword, Book, Hammer, Skull, Jewel.

And again the braziers flared up and went out, and the secret door opened again. And now I am already holding in my hands the Shield of the Crusader covered with scarlet enamel. Maybe I'm dreaming? But no, before my eyes and through my efforts, ancient legends are really coming to life... It's time to return to the abbey and tell the ghosts about your successes.

The ancient buildings were no longer empty. For the first time in three hundred years, inhabitants appeared in the abbey - they wanted to join the revived Order of the Nine. I knew many of them - Evita, Areldur, Karodus, Sir Tedret - and I saw some for the first time. In the main building I was found by Laton, the squire of a certain Sir Roderick, who, like me, had followed the pilgrim’s path and was looking for sacred relics. Laton gave me the Crusader's Leggings and said that his master died in a battle with the ghost of the last of the ancient knights - the renegade Sir Beric Vlindrel. I had no choice but to go to the Underpall cave and try to snatch the defiled Sword from the clutches of the traitor.

Laton and I reached the desired cave already at dusk, and then we were attacked by a hungry puma. I looked critically at the young squire, attacking the unfortunate cat with a furious cry, and told him to wait outside. Once he carried away his legs, but suddenly the row might not be so lucky. I feel sorry for the guy, I’d rather go alone.

As for the Underpall cave and the fort hidden in its depths... Did I already mention that I hate the undead? At one of the doors a pile of stones fell on me. I barely managed to jump away. I also discovered the tomb of Lord Vlindrel, and next to it, behind a rickety wooden gate, he himself. He may have been a great warrior during his life, but death had a deplorable effect on his skills.

So, I had the Sword, but it needed to be re-consecrated in the chapel of Arkay in Cheydinall. This may seem like the easiest thing I've ever done, but it wasn't. The chapel has been attacked by Umaril's minions! Luckily, I showed up just in time. They didn’t even have time to finish the inscription around the altar. Oh, I'm becoming too cynical...

On my return to the abbey I was informed that the Prophet had recently arrived and was currently preaching in the chapel. I wonder... Maybe he will finally tell me how to end Umaril?

So I knew there was some kind of catch here! Umaril was hiding in the ruins of Garlas Malatar, not far from Anvil, but it was not enough to kill his body. The spirit also had to be destroyed so that it could not be reborn in Oblivion. I sighed and asked the elder to continue. If he now demanded that both moons be shaken from the sky, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised! But it turned out that everything is somewhat simpler. The Prophet granted me the blessing of Talos, which, according to him, should allow me to follow the spirit of Umaril and deal with it... now forever.

It's time. My knights have already left for Garlas Malatar. Soon, one way or another, it will all be over.

The ancient Ayleid city in the sunset rays seemed like a jewel in a sparkling frame. But this jewel contained a grain of poison... We entered. Golden-faced Daedra - Umaril's minions - materialized in dozens straight out of thin air. But how could that stop us?

In the end we burst into a vast palace. In the middle of it, on a raised platform, rested a huge sphere emitting a purple glow. The exit from the hall was blocked by a flowing magical curtain. The Daedra were already falling on us in incredible numbers, and, besides, they stopped dying! After some time, those killed stood up, as before, full of strength and hatred for us. Having given my comrades the right to deal with the enemy, I literally flew right through the palace, up the stairs, to the damned sphere. I was sure that it was she who supported the veil!

The explosion shook the city to its foundations, but the path was now clear. Then I walked alone, not knowing anything about the fate of my friends. And so I found myself face to face with Umaril. He hissed something in an ancient language - either a spell or a curse. In any case, if I were him, I would rather start swearing. Dodging enemy spells, I rushed about like a fox with its tail on fire, but finally the magician king fell, struck down by Zenithar's Mace. I called on Talos and again found myself above the clouds... The damned Umaril was right there with his spells! In the gaps between the clouds below, at a great height, the painfully familiar spire of the White Gold Tower could be seen. So, I'm above the Imperial City?! Okay, we’ll think about this later, but for now... take it, you rascal!..

I came to my senses in the abbey crypt. Nine knights surrounded me - nine, because Sir Beric Vlindrel, whose ghost I had destroyed in the cave of Underpall, had joined his comrades. My mission is over. The knights bid me farewell, bequeathing me to complete the revival of the former glory of the order, and disappeared. I hope there, in the mystical Etherius, they will finally find peace.

As for me, I decided to take a vacation for myself after all - no one will argue that I deserved it? Only this time I’ll probably go to Leyawiin - out of harm’s way!..

Knights of the Nine is the official add-on for Oblivion. After installation, you need to go to “Data Files” and activate the Knights.esp plugin. So, we are in the game. At first glance, nothing has changed. But this is not so. We will discover many innovations while completing a new main quest.

To receive this quest, go to the Anvil Church and go inside. You will see a terrifying sight: there is blood all around, all the ministers are killed, everything in the church itself is almost destroyed. Get out of there. We need to find someone who can tell us what happened. There are two guards at the main entrance to the church. Talk to any of them. The church was attacked, but the guards do not understand how the attackers could get past them. You will also learn that not everyone was killed. Only one person survived - the Prophet. We need to find it. You won't have to run far, because... it is located directly opposite the main entrance to the church. Talk to him. You will need to find the lost relics of the order.
Pilgrimage

Joining the ranks of the Crusaders, you will have to visit 9 sanctuaries. You will receive a map with their locations. After praying to the eight gods, a vision will come to you. You will be in heaven! From there you have a beautiful view of Cyrodiil. But the clouds are a bit in the way. Listen to the spirit's story and find yourself back on earth.
Crusader Sanctuary

A marker will now appear on the map. This is a designation of the ruins of Vanua (and underwater), where we need to go. Stock up on potions or a water breathing amulet. You can jump off a bridge without hurting yourself. Find the entrance and swim in. The undead await you in the ruins. After walking a little, you will enter the sanctuary of the Krestonians. Almost in the center is the first relic that we need. This is a Crusader helmet.
Not far from its location you will see the skeleton of Sir Amiel, a crusader of the order. He also searched for relics, but apparently not very successfully. In his diary you will read about the crusaders' cuirass. Judging by the record, it is located in the western small forest, in the chapel of the Krestonians.
Monastery of the Nine

Pick up Amiel's ring and go there. The chapel itself is located southeast of Skingrad. Enter the chapel and insert the crusader ring into the center of the polygonal star on the floor. You will see a secret passage leading to the training room. From there, go to the basement. At the end of the room you will see the cuirass we need.
But it’s not that simple! After walking a little, 8 ghostly cuirass guards materialize around you, among which is Sir Amiel. To get the cuirass, you will have to fight all the ghosts. And it's not that simple. But by defeating them, you will gain access to the cuirass. Take it and talk to each ghost in turn. They will point you to the rest of the crusaders' relics.
Mercy of Stendarr

The next relic - gloves - is located in the Corolla Chapel. When you get there, try to pick them up. Hard? We'll have to look for another way. Talk to the priest named Areldur. He will say that there is only one person who can raise them. This is Kellen, resting here in the chapel. After talking with him, you will find out that he has a curse that allows him to lift his gloves. Talk to Areldur again. Now you need to pray at the altar. You will receive a spell that will need to be cast on Kellen. His curse will pass on you, and with it the opportunity to pick up the gloves of the crusaders. That's it, the quest is completed.
Nature's Fury

The Crusader Boots are found in the Shrine of Kynareth in the Great Forest. You need to go there and talk to the priest. To get the boots you must pass a test. Go to the grove west of the shrine and wait. Soon an animal will appear (its type depends on your level) and begin to attack him. Defend yourself, but don't attack him! After a couple of blows, the animal will calm down, and a secret passage will be revealed. In the cave you will find boots.
Wisdom of the Ages

The Crusader shield is hidden in the Bastion fort, which is northeast of Leyawiin (almost on the border with Black Marsh). Once you get there, go inside. There are many mysteries and traps in the fort. By activating all sorts of levers, you will finally see a grate, in front of which there will be four rows of pressure blocks. Activate the following: 1st row - left block, 2nd row - central block, 3rd row - right block, 2nd row - left block. If you don’t succeed, then go through all the blocks yourself, marking those that will not make sounds. Finally, the grate will rise, and upon entering the door, you will be faced with a prisoner. Free him and get a hint: "When the guards' gaze falls on you, Julianos will be favorable." (approximate translation) Not clear? It will become clearer later. Finally you will find a room with a statue of a god and four statues of guards. There is a sign on the floor in the center. Now we need to somehow use the hint. The statues are turned towards the wall, and we need to make sure that they all look at the circle. each has a lever. Rotate each one until the statues are in the desired position. A secret entrance will open. After walking a little, you will encounter the next (and final) riddle. In the center of the room there is a staircase, in its center there is a box and a pressure block. There are eight statues with boxes around the stairs. Take the item from the central drawer and click on the block. An image of the item will appear above one of the drawers. Throw an object there and repeat the procedure until you remember which image appears above each box. Now take the item from the central box and place it in the corresponding box near the statue, above which there is an image of this item. If you did it correctly, the box will flicker. Repeat until all boxes are flickering. A passage will appear to the room in which the Crusader shield is located.
The path of the righteous

Finally, another relic, the Mace of Zenithar, is located in the Chapel of Zenithar in Leyawiin. You can complete the mission only if you have the remaining relics (helmet, cuirass, boots and gloves). There you will meet another relic hunter. He also needed a mace, but he failed the test. Go down to the chapel basement. After killing the undead, go to the tomb of Saint Kalados. Activate it and you will be teleported to a strange place. You are standing on a platform, the mace is visible to you, but you cannot reach it, because... There is a big gap between you. You won't be able to leave either, because... the exit is above you - getting there is also unrealistic. You'll have to get to the mace. Put on the armor of the crusaders, and a ghostly path will appear in front of you, along which we go and pick up the mace. Coming out of the basement, you will find that the church was attacked by the servants of our worst enemy - Umaril. Kill them all and return to the eight guards (in the chapel southeast of Skingrad). Having arrived at the place, Lotan will approach you (remember, we freed him?) and talk to you. From him you will receive the Crusader's Leggings.
Devoted Servant

And finally, the last relic - the sword of the crusaders - is located in the Anderpall cave. Lotan's master, Sir Rederic, fell in battle in this cave. The sword went to the ghost of Lord Vlindler. Lotan wants to avenge his master. If you want, you can take it with you. Now go to this very cave. It is located approximately halfway between the cities of Bruma and Corolla.
Crusader sword

Enter the cave. At first you will not meet any enemies, but when you find the entrance to the Anderpall fortress, archers will open fire on you. In the fortress you will meet undead and rats. Finally, after going into the third cave, you will see the ghost of Vlindler. We need to kill him. He fights great, then we are stronger! After killing the ghost, pick up the blade. Yes, this is our goal. But he is under a curse that can only be gotten rid of in the Arkay Chapel in Cheydinall. Arriving at the chapel, you will see that it was also attacked by the Aurorans (we have already met them). Cleanse the sword on the altar, and then cleanse the chapel itself of Umaril's servants. Now you can go back to the Monastery of Nine.
Blessing of Talos

This is not even a mission, but a conversation. A prophet has arrived at the monastery and wants to see you. Go into the chapel and talk to him.
Umaril

The turn of the most difficult mission has come. In it you need to destroy Umaril himself, not only physically, but also spiritually. You will receive the Blessing of Talos spell (you will need it). To complete the task, I advise you to wear all the armor of the crusaders, and take either the Zenithar mace or the sword of the crusaders as a weapon. Several more knights will go with you. Umaril is located in his fortress Garlas Malagar, which is north and slightly west of Anvil. Once you get there, give the order to the soldiers to storm and run after them. Kill the Aurorans guarding the entrance and enter. This is where the fun begins. After killing a few more Aurorans, click on the block and follow through the opened door. Here you will be attacked by 4-6 Aurorans. It is difficult to kill them, so before going to them, it is better to wait for helpers. Finally you will find a room with a blue orb on top. Her Auroran guards are immortal. If your enemy falls and has no lives, this does not mean that he is dead. After a short period of time he will rise. Therefore, quickly run past them to the top, press the block, destroy the sphere and run to the flickering invisible wall. The sphere will explode, and upon entering the door you will meet Umaril himself. Defeating him is difficult, but possible. Having done this, use the Blessing of Talos spell and you will find yourself in the sky. Fight him again. This time he is finished. You will begin to fall, but during the flight you will be teleported to the Monastery to eight ghosts.

That's all! Umaril was defeated, and you formed your own order of crusaders. This is where the campaign ends.
________________________________________________________________________________

Early morning in Anvil. Nothing foreshadowed, as they say...

Hearken to me, people of Anvil!

And why are all the road altars in such poor condition?

I ran across the bridge, stopped hesitantly and leaned over the parapet. Below, at a considerable depth, one could see white and green ruins in the Ayleid style. No, but it’s a bit high to jump! And how much I don’t like swimming in chain mail... But, fortunately, my plans were precisely to sink to the bottom like a stone.

Note: there is no need to frantically stock up on water breathing potions - the ruins are flooded only at the very beginning.

“Something obscene came out of there, either a green snake or a crocodile...”

The nine are still incomplete.

This is important: in principle, you can search for the relics in any order, but the Kynareth test must be completed before you go to Leyawiin.

I saw you... at an arrow's distance!

Sir Beric, give me your sword!

Well, it’s better not for a decent girl to even enter a church without a dagger...

I think I've seen this somewhere before...

Knight on a white horse. Illustration.

This is important: things appear in a large chest in a random order, but the corresponding statues are always the same.

Why are you, dear, looking askance, bowing your head low...

Platoon! Listen to my command! Na shtu-u-rm!

Oh, Umaril, how you... killed me!

Only this time I’ll probably go to Leyawiin - out of harm’s way!
