Making an unforgettable holiday for children is not an easy task. But this article will help you with that. In her we have collected interesting competitions for the New Year for children. All of them are exclusively thematic and will easily fit into any New Year's scenario.

Note also that for the New Year, games for children can be team, pair and intended for the whole team. We have divided the types of these games for your convenience.

Children's New Year's competitions for two participants

Competition "Christmas bags"

Two children can take part in each round of this New Year's game. The host gives them each a bag decorated in the New Year's style and invites them to come to the table, on which there are two medium-sized cardboard boxes containing small, unbreakable Christmas toys, New Year's figurines and other items.

The facilitator blindfolds the children and offers to collect as many New Year's items in the bag as possible, observing one condition: participants can take from the box and put into the bag only one item at a time.

The competition is accompanied by musical accompaniment. After 30-45 seconds, the music stops, the children are uncovered and offered to look at the contents of the bags. The winner is the participant who has more New Year items in the bag.

Competition "Get to the tree"

There is a prize under the tree. The facilitator puts two participants at the same distance from him, but from different sides, and invites the team to race to jump to the prize on one leg. The most agile wins and receives a prize.

Competition "Snowflakes"

This competition, like some other New Year's competitions for children presented here, requires preliminary preparation. Between the chairs you need to pull a thread with New Year's tinsel. Paper snowflakes are hung on tinsel. The host blindfolds the two participants in the game and gives out small scissors. Players are brought to a stretched thread, the command is given to start. The task of each participant for a certain period of time is to cut as many snowflakes as possible.

It is possible to play without scissors, in which case the snowflakes should be easily removed from the tinsel.

Competition "Christmas tree with a surprise"

To prepare for this New Year's game, it will take a little more effort and time than in the previous version. It is necessary to make a Christmas tree layout from cardboard. Holes imitating Christmas balls are cut in it. On the reverse side of the layout, a bag is attached under each hole (but you can do without them).

The host gives the participants 5 small balls. The player's task is to get them into the cut holes. The one who hits the most times wins. He takes the main prize, which can be hidden for the time being on the branches of the main Christmas tree.

Competition "Who is the first?"

For this New Year's game, prepare two chairs and a couple of sets of winter clothes. A winter jacket turned inside out with sleeves is hung on each chair. A hat, scarf and gloves are placed on the seat. Two children take part in each round of the game. They take a position not far from the chairs and, at the command of the host, run towards them. They need to turn back and put on a winter jacket, gloves, a scarf and a hat. The winner is the one who gets dressed faster, sits on a chair and shouts “Happy New Year!”.

Competition "New Year's Castle"

The facilitator selects several who wish to participate in the competition. They receive a drawing of the New Year's castle of Santa Claus, which is given 30 seconds to memorize. After that, the participants are blindfolded and given a set of plastic cups. The task of the players is to collect an exact copy of the castle from the cups. The child who completes the task faster and more accurately wins.

Team games and competitions for the New Year for children

Competition "Where is the tree?"

The players are divided into two teams. Each chooses a captain. Then the teams line up in two lines parallel to each other. Team captains receive a set of three flags. On two of the set, a forest animal or a character from a fairy tale is drawn. And on the third is a Christmas tree.

At the command of the leader, the team captains begin to pass the flags along the chain back. The flag with the Christmas tree must be transmitted last. As soon as the extreme participant in the chain receives a flag with a painted spruce, he shouts: "Christmas tree!" and raises his hand up. The team that does it faster than their opponents wins.

Competition "Decorate the Christmas tree"

To play this game for the New Year for children, you need two small artificial Christmas trees and a couple of cardboard boxes with unbreakable Christmas toys. Christmas trees are placed at a distance of 2-4 meters from the boxes.

The facilitator divides the children into two equal teams. Each goes to their starting line, located by the toy box. At the command of the host, the participants in the game take turns decorating the Christmas tree. Each player can take only one toy at a time. The first team to empty their toy box and decorate the Christmas tree wins.

"Don't miss" contest

To play, you will need a small gate, in the amount of two pieces, and table tennis balls. The host divides the children into 2 equal teams. Each player receives one ball. The task of the participants is to roll the ball into the goal from a certain distance. Players perform their attempts in turn. The team whose players rolled the most balls wins.

Competition "Magic scooter"

To play, you will need two children's scooters and small artificial Christmas trees. The facilitator divides the children into two equal teams. Each line up opposite its row of Christmas trees. At the command of the host, the first pair of participants on scooters goes around each of the Christmas trees in their row and returns back to pass the baton to the next one. The team that covers the distance the fastest and knocks down the least Christmas trees wins.

Competition "New Year's tinsel"

The game requires tinsel and a cheerful melody, for example, "Jingle bells". The host divides the children into two equal teams and gives each one a string of tinsel. The teams line up and, at the command of the leader, the first member in the team must tie the tinsel on the neighbor's hand. He, in turn, ties the next one. The last members of each team run to the first and tie the tinsel to them. The team that will raise their hands with tinsel tied to them faster than the competitors wins.

Remember that you can easily get hurt on some New Year's tinsel, and try to choose the safest version of the product. Conduct only such children's games for the New Year, which you are sure are safe.

Competition "Collect snowballs"

3-4 teams can participate in the game at the same time. In advance, you should prepare a lot of small white balloons (these will be snowballs) and large garbage bags. From the bags you need to make something like bloomers, cutting off the two lower corners so that the legs crawl into the holes.

Before the start of the competition, it is necessary to choose one participant from each team, they will need to crawl into the prepared bags, and the rest, at the command of the host, will have to fill their bag with balls. The team with the most snowballs in their bag wins.

Competition "New Year's bowling"

Decorate skittles or plastic bottles with tinsel - they will act as icicles growing out of the ground. The competition can be both team and individual. The task of each player from a given distance is to knock down as many skittle icicles as possible with a snowball.

Entertainment for the new year for all those gathered

Competition "What does the Christmas tree like?"

The host tells the guys that he has been preparing for this holiday for a whole year and has learned about everything that the tree loves. And now he asks the guys to test his knowledge. Children must either confirm (if they agree) his statements by saying "yes", or deny the facilitator's incorrect opinion by saying "no".

And Happy New Year...

Competitions for the New Year for children in the form of simple questions and answers are perceived with great interest by children of preschool and primary school age. Use them between dances or outdoor games, giving children the opportunity to relax a bit.

The following interesting competitions for children for the New Year will also help to relax and at the same time have fun.

Competition "Choosing a tree"

All children participate, they stand in a circle and hold hands, and Santa Claus is with them. He explains and shows the audience what Christmas trees are:

  • high - everyone in the circle, together with Grandfather, rises on their toes and pulls their hands up;
  • low - everyone squats and lowers their hands down;
  • wide - everyone is trying to expand the circle as much as possible;
  • narrow - the circle should be narrowed as much as possible.

Then Grandfather begins to walk around and "choose" the Christmas tree. “Oh, well, high!”, “And this one is too narrow!”. According to the parameters voiced by Grandfather, the children depict the Christmas tree that he saw. Frost himself is trying to bring them down, demonstrating the wrong movements.

Competition "New Year's cap"

The players form a circle. Cheerful New Year's music is turned on, and the children begin to pass the New Year's cap in a circle. The music stops intermittently. The participant, who had the cap in his hands during the stop of the music, puts it on his head and fulfills the wish of Santa Claus. Grandfather Frost may wish that they sing a song to him, tell a rhyme, guess a riddle or dance. Everyone who fulfills his wish receives a sweet prize.

Competition for the best New Year's costume

Young children love to dress up in carnival costumes and portray a variety of characters. The competition for the best New Year's costume for children should be notified in advance. There may be several nominations, but first everyone will have to "defend" their costume. This will make it possible to evaluate not only the originality of the outfit, but also the artistic abilities of the child, who, having entered the role, can portray habits, sing a song or read a monologue of his hero.

New Year's entertainment "Lucky number"

Everyone loves pleasant surprises, and children especially. Prepare small gifts in advance (there should be as many as there will be children at the holiday) and wrap them in multi-colored paper, then number them. Put them in Santa's bag or place them under the Christmas tree.

Cut out small tokens from cardboard according to the number of gifts in the form of Christmas balls or Christmas trees and also number them on the reverse side. Hang the tokens indoors in prominent places.

When it's time for gifts, invite each child to find one token for themselves. Now Santa Claus knows exactly who to give what gift to.

Human memory is so arranged that for the rest of our lives we remember only the brightest and most exciting events of our lives. And most of these events for each of us come from childhood. We hope that the children's competitions prepared by us for the New Year will help you create an original entertainment program that will become another bright and unforgettable event for children's memory.

Advice for parents: "New Year and children"

The New Year is approaching, a favorite holiday for children, because the Christmas tree is a holiday of fairy tales, fun games, surprises, funny adventures. What would it be like for a child, please with brightness and unusualness, parents need to make an effort.

When preparing for the New Year, parents should involve their children: decide together who to invite from friends, how to decorate the Christmas tree, what entertainment to come up with, etc.

Children should be told in advance about the Christmas tree, that it is an evergreen tree, show it in a picture, photograph.

In preparation for the holiday, the kids should be given Christmas decorations to consider, you can cut snowflakes, lanterns together with your child, hang garlands, light bulbs together. If the child is very small. Then you can decorate the Christmas tree when he falls asleep. In the morning, the Christmas tree will be a surprise for the baby.

Gifts should also be taken care of in advance. Gift giving can be fabulous. Dad and daughter sculpt plasticine shoes and put them under the Christmas tree, and the next morning the child finds real shoes there. You can make a paper cockerel and put it on the window. Explain to the child that the Cockerel will look to see if Santa Claus passes by. He will see him and call loudly. Santa Claus will definitely come in, admire the Christmas tree, home-made toys, check whether the child knows how to neatly fold clothes, put away his things and leave a gift. In the morning, the baby will be pleased to find a gift and a letter from Santa Claus under the tree. The letter may contain verses for learning, a riddle or a wish.

Dear dads and moms!

An interestingly prepared holiday with the family will not only bring joy, but also help to better understand the child, his interests.

Vivid memories of the holiday are remembered forever. Try to create an unusual holiday atmosphere. Draw a Snowman at the entrance to welcome guests. Hide a cracker under the tree. Tell her that Santa Claus forgot her. The cracker may contain balls. Under the Christmas tree - a book with pictures, coloring, etc.

Do not sit at the table for a long time. It is better to play with the guests, sing a song together, dance. The kids love the hot and cold game. The winner dances or sings a song. You can play the game "Aibolit and animals". Children put on animal hats, one is chosen as a doctor. The game is based on staging: the bunny is lame, the doctor treats him, the bunny jumps, the hippo roars and holds on to his stomach, then he recovers and jumps merrily, etc.

Children must show creativity, convey the desired intonation. At the end, you can dance a fun dance.

Adults can come up with a lot of interesting things for the New Year holiday, you just need to want and take everything responsibly. I wish you resourcefulness and patience, and success will come to you!

REMINDER

about fire safety measures when decorating a Christmas tree

New Year and Christmas holidays are a wonderful time for children and adults. In almost every house, a beautiful Christmas tree is installed and decorated. In order for these days not to be overshadowed by misfortune, it is necessarypay special attention to compliance with fire safety measures, which are very simple...

Natural Christmas trees tend to dry out when they stay indoors for a long time and flare up from a light spark. Buy your tree as close to New Year's as possible, or keep it outdoors. In preparation for the holiday, install the "forest beauty" on a stable base and so that the branches do not touch the walls, ceiling and are at a safe distance from electrical appliances and household stoves.

During the celebration, do not light candles on the Christmas tree, as well as homemade electric garlands. The electric garland must be factory-made and without damage.

It is also necessary to exercise increased caution when using sparklers. A stick with a Bengal fire should be held in an outstretched hand and not brought to clothes, eyes and a natural Christmas tree. Bengal fires and firecrackers should only be lit under adult supervision and away from flammable objects.

Dear parents!

Follow these elementary fire safety rules and strictly control the behavior of children during the winter holidays!

Make the kids have a fun winter break.

How to organize a weekend if you are not leaving anywhere? What to do with a child so that he does not get bored and has a fun and interesting vacation?

What do children dream about when they think about the holidays? About magic, masquerades, ice slides, travel. And that you can finally talk to mom and dad, who always disappear at work. What are the parents thinking? About a long sleep, a sofa and a TV or a book. And about silence!

Parents, if you lie in front of the TV all 10 days, then the holidays will pass quickly and boringly, and your children will remain disappointed. Here are some tips on how to make the holidays fun for yourself and the kids.

1. For children, the main thing is that the days are varied. Write a plan: slide, snow, festivities, guests, performances, museums, carnivals and masquerades.

2. Spend as much time as possible outdoors. If possible, go to friends out of town. Walk in the park, in the yard, go to forest parks, take skates - and march to the skating rink, go skiing. Try to spend all daylight outdoors. After all, when you go to work, you won’t be able to walk. And children need a walk!

3. Do what you have long dreamed of, but which your hands never reach. Put on a play at home, go to visit friends who live far away, go to the theater. The main thing is the whole family.

4. Arrange a homemade children's party. Gather friends, neighbors, rehearse the performance, dress up in costumes, play a fairy tale, cook a simple treat on colorful paper plates so you don't have to wash the dishes.

5. Organize a party in the yard. So you can play and walk around. Decorate the Christmas tree, play trickle. Believe me, both children and adults will like it. At the same time, you will get to know your neighbors better.

6. Diversify the ride from the hill - arrange a holiday there with competitions: who will go the farthest, who is faster, etc. Jackets can be decorated with Christmas tree rain.

7. Go on a winter hike. In the park or in the forest. Bury surprises, small gifts under the trees. Draw a map or plan. Under the tree, find a letter from Santa Claus, in which he writes: “Unfortunately, I didn’t get to you, my sleigh broke, I had to bury your gift under the Christmas tree. Here is a map, you can use it to find your gift. Let the child look for the right Christmas trees on the map and find gifts. Believe me, children will be delighted with such treasure hunts!

8. Walking in the forest, give the child tasks: hang a feeder, pour food into already hanging feeders, draw all the trees that he meets

9. Go to the museum. A preschooler will be interested in the local history and zoological museum. If the child loves Greek myths, take them to the Greek hall. We have planned a trip to the art gallery - read the myths and the Bible in advance, because most of the classics wrote precisely on these topics.

10. Have a Boxing Day. A couple of days before the holiday, organize a “magic workshop” at home. Buy a craft book and craft with your kids! Make stained-glass windows, draw pictures on wood, on canvas, cut out figures and glue applications.

11. Arrange an action together with your child - sort out children's things (you can also use your own), collect good clothes from which the baby grew up, good but not favorite toys and send all this to needy children in orphanages or social centers. Now such actions are organized by many children's shops, cafes and churches. It is very useful for a child to do such a good deed.

12. Don't watch TV non-stop! Mark in advance in the program those programs and films that you like, watch them with your children, discuss them.

13. Have a yummy day. You can, for example, release mom from the kitchen on this day, and prepare simple goodies for dad and children. And bake cookies all together, let the children smear themselves in flour, in dough, stick on uneven figures. The main thing is to do it yourself!

14. Plan a masquerade. Sew costumes, invent makeup. For the kids and for yourself!

15. Set up a Christmas tree at home. Prepare a simple performance or concert, treats (the same cookies), small gifts for guests, invite friends. It’s good if you agree with friends and they will also organize a Christmas tree. So you will go with families to each other at Christmas trees. It's great if the holidays are themed - you have a pirate party, your friends have princesses and fairies, and so on.

Games for winter holidays in kindergarten

Salikhova Elena Nikolaevna, musical director of kindergarten No. 89 "Golden Grains", Sevastopol.
The content of the work. Readers are offered three massive New Year's games. These games are designed for New Year's mornings held with children of the senior and preparatory groups. These games are best played with a large number of children, at least twelve to fifteen people. Then they will be fun, and the children will receive the very portion of positive emotions that you are counting on. You can understand how these games “work” by reading my New Year's scenarios posted on the Entertainment Pantry website.
The purpose of the game material. First of all, these games may be of interest to music directors working with the age category of six to seven years old, not younger. They will be appropriate for winter holidays and entertainment in kindergarten and elementary school. They can also be used during winter festivities in various open areas.
Target: Creating a cheerful joyful mood in children present at the holiday.
Tasks:
Active participation of each child in the festive action.
Free expression of positive emotions of children.
Creative use by children of their knowledge in a relaxed playful atmosphere.

Game "Tell me how you live?"
This game was developed by me directly for the "New Year's guests" scenario. But it can be used at any children's holiday, where fun and jokes are supposed. No attributes are required to play this game. It is carried out by two adult characters participating in a children's party. It can be Winter and Santa Claus, Snow Maiden and Santa Claus, Snow Maiden and Winter, two Buffoons and so on. The words of the game must be spoken clearly and distinctly by each character in turn. The second character does everything that children have to do and say. This will be a kind of clue for children. It is possible that one character says all the words, and the other at this time, together with the children, performs all the game actions. In addition to the purely gaming component, the value of this game is that it can be a prologue to a surprise presentation of gifts.

Game progress.
First character: Are we going to play with the guys today?
Second character: Certainly! How about no game? I propose to play the game "How do you live?"
First character: Then we begin to ask the guys questions, and let them answer them, but not only with words, but also with gestures.
The game "Tell me how you live?" The characters of the holiday ask questions in turn.
How do you guys live? Children: Great! Extend the right hand forward with the thumb raised.
How are you guys eating? Children: Hrum, hrum, hrum, hrum!
How are you guys kidding? Children: La-la-la! La-la-la! At the same time, they raise their arms bent at the elbows with spread fingers and jumps turn around themselves.

Show how you threaten? Children: But - but - but! They shake with the index finger raised up.
Show me how you go Children: One, two! One, two! They walk in place.
And how do you drink water, children? Children throw back their heads, bring two hands to their mouths and make a retracting movement with their lips.
How are you kids crying? Children rub their eyes and whimper.
And how do you jump from happiness? Children are jumping in place.
How quiet are you? Children: Shh - s - s! Put the index finger to the lips.
And "Goodbye" show! Children: Goodbye! They wave their hand. At this time, the characters pretend that they are going to leave. They wave goodbye to the children. One of the adults delays them at the party. If, on the contrary, the characters need to leave, then they have the opportunity to quietly leave.
Note. It's okay if the children, in response to the character's question, make another, appropriate gesture, or say their own line. This will express their immediacy and creativity. No need to stop the game because of this or make a remark to the children. By doing this, you can spoil the festive mood not only for this child, but for everyone present.

Fun workout game
I composed this game for the annual regional winter holiday. Each kindergarten exhibited its fairy-tale characters to participate in this holiday. They should have come with their original game. Before the performance, all the characters demonstrated to the professional commission which games are included in their performances. We didn't want our artists to have to blush for the fact that their games are the same as anyone else. So I decided to write my own game. Since the game had to be played with a very large number of children, I immediately ruled out paraphernalia.
The game is played by one or two characters invited to the party. In this case, it was two Buffoons. One character calls out the words while the other says the words and performs activities with the children. If the game is played by one character, then he must both speak words and perform actions related to the content of the game.
Game progress.
Characters:
And now we are children
We invite you to play.
To make it more interesting
We will do everything together.

A fun warm-up let us make friends.
We have a fun workout for you!
Children perform actions according to the content of the "Warm-up".
Let's all drown together.
Now let's clap!
Let's wave our wings. They wave with both hands.
Like bunnies, let's dance. They jump on two legs.

Let's crow roosters.
We stand on one leg. They stand on one leg, arms to the sides.

Like cows moo.
Like cats meow.

And the mice: pi - pi - pi!
They hid from the cat! They squat down.

We stretch our necks.
Who's longer? They stand up and stretch their necks.

Everything is like geese: ha - ha - ha!
Have fun? Children: Yes Yes Yes!
We don't stand, we run. Run in place.
Like monkeys we play pranks. Spread fingers and bend
from side to side.

We want to scare everyone.
Like tiger cubs roar! They growl loudly: r - r - r - r - r!

We don't stand still
Friendly, fun run. Run in place.

We clap our hands! Clap.
We stomp very loudly! They stomp.

Together we will shout: hurrah! They jump up and down and scream.
It's time to end the fun workout!

Note. This game can be played at any mass holiday - festivities. For example, on "Shrovetide" or "Day of the Preschool Worker". Can be done both outdoors and indoors.

Game "Magic Snowflakes"
I came up with this game for the New Year's holiday in the preparatory group. It has a narrower purpose. Designed for children of the preparatory group. With older children, it can be done if they can read and make words on their own. The game is played by Santa Claus.

The game requires double-sided paper snowflakes. Some of them are quite clearly written letters. The letters of the same word must be written in the same color. But each word should be in its own color scheme. Snowflakes are laid out in advance under the Christmas tree or on its branches with letters down even before the start of the holiday.

Game progress.
Father Frost: Oh what a lot of snow!
Even on your Christmas Tree there are Snowflakes. Do you want to play with them?
Presenter: Of course we do, Santa Claus!
Father Frost: But first, I'll tinker a little.
Santa Claus walks around the Christmas tree, waving his staff.
Father Frost:
Snowflakes - fluffs, messengers of Winter,
Be magical for our game.
It seems to work.
Let the music sound more fun
Start the game soon!
Cheerful music sounds, the children run up to the Christmas tree, take any Snowflake for themselves and run around the hall with it in all directions.

Father Frost:
It's time for the Snowflakes to fall asleep.
It's time for them to cover the ground. All children squat down.
Father Frost:
The wind blew harder
Fly away, quickly. The children are running around the room again.
Father Frost:
Spin around more fun
Near his Christmas tree. Children lift snowflakes up and spin around.
Father Frost:
Now let's find out who
Will be able to collect words faster.

Children quickly find a place for themselves to make words: SNOW and WINTER. They stand in front of the Christmas tree facing the guests and show their WORD.
Children who do not have letters on their snowflakes gather in the "Snowdrift". They run up to each other, crouch on one knee and take the hand with the snowflake to the side.

Father Frost: Thank you dear grandchildren. Get these snowflakes for yourself.
Children run away, put a snowflake under their chair to take with them at the end of the holiday.
Note. This game can be carried out only on condition of preliminary learning with children. The surprise moment is that the children do not know which Snowflake (with or without a letter) they will get. Words for compilation are not taken by chance. None of the letters in the word WINTER and SNOW are repeated. In addition, it is immediately clear without a hint which word should be composed. This is a very important point. If you want to take other words for children to compose, you need to pay attention to this.
I wish everyone who wants to use the games developed by me in their work so that they help create real fun and joyful mood at your holiday
