If you are new to Combat Arms, then you have probably already thought about which cards to start the game with. Our guide will help you in the difficult choice of the first location: it is best to hone your combat skills and get used to the game on the most popular and simple maps. We highlight the 4 easiest: Breakwater, Ice Spring, Oil Platform and Market Massacre.

All 4 maps have a clear layout, a good balance of team bases, excellent visibility and a pleasant color scheme that do not make it difficult to spot the enemy. On the Breakwater map you can hone your skills fast travel and jumping, since this skill is one of the key ones in this location. Ice Spring and Oil Platform involve teamwork and the development of simple tactics, and “Bazaar Massacre” will teach you marksmanship at both close and long range.

Tactics

For successful game on the maps described above, you will need several simple but effective tactics that can be used depending on the situation on the battlefield.

Breakwater:

Use roof slopes and chimneys to hide from enemy fire.

While on the rooftops, don't forget about the lighthouse, as it is the highest point on the map - this is an excellent position for snipers.

Try not to use the streets to move - they are easily shot from the roofs of houses and are often mined.

If the enemy has locked you in your base with heavy fire, then use a room in one of the buildings that is located near the base of each team - it’s easy to organize a defense from here.

You can walk around the lighthouse along the small side that adjoins it. Using this path, you will find yourself on a spacious area, and from there you will be able to conduct targeted fire at the enemy base.

Classification and parameters of characters

In the game you can get all the characters available in the console version, as well as several fighters exclusive to mobile platforms. Characters are divided into four different levels. The list of warriors, as well as abilities, bonuses and improvements, is presented in the form of cards. The character's image with its main parameters is indicated on a separate card. The frame of such a card can be bronze, silver, gold or diamond (update 1.9). This is four different groups characters.

In addition, by fighting in various tournaments and game modes, you increase your character's level. With a new character level, his main characteristics increase.

Speaking of characteristics. All fighters have the same set of basic skills:

  • Attack. The damage dealt to the enemy depends on the number of attack points.
  • Health. The number of health points determines the damage your character can withstand.
  • Durability. This parameter determines how many points you will reduce the incoming damage received from enemy hits.
  • Treatment. This parameter determines the amount of health restored outside of combat.
  • Charge of power. The speed of power accumulation during battle depends on this parameter.
  • Feats. Update 1.19. New mode upgrades for gold and diamond characters (available if they are in the collection) for certain achievements of each in Faction Wars. Provides an additional increase in all basic skills, as well as individual decoration of the “banner” in online battles.

Special techniques and character upgrades

It is noteworthy that if you compare the transition of characters of the first level to the second for bronze, silver and gold cards, then the more expensive the card, the more points for each of the higher skills you will receive. For example, moving a Bronze card character from level one to level two will increase your attack value by 34 points, while leveling a silver card character from level one to level two will increase your attack value by 66 points.

In addition to basic skills, each character has a special technique. If you open the character card, then under the “Fortitude” parameter you will see three rectangles with cut corners. There are actually three special moves, but only one is unlocked by default. But you can unlock the other two (one by one). You don't need souls to unlock a special move: it's all done with gold coins. Any skill, be it the second or the third, can be unlocked for only 1000 gold coins. Another thing is that the cost of upgrading skills will be higher.

The characters are also divided into different classes: martial artist, special forces, the outside world, and the underworld. Some characters combine two classes. For example, Inferno Scorpio belongs to the Martial Arts and Underworld classes.

How to get new characters

In the main menu at the top of the screen there is a “Store” section. Go there and select the “Characters” category at the bottom of the screen. Here you can see a list of all characters and their costs. By default, they are sorted by cost - from lowest to highest.

Even if you already have a character from the store, you can still purchase his card. In this case, the new card of an existing character can be combined with the old one. This way you will not increase the number of your own characters, but you will significantly increase the basic characteristics of the one you already have.

You can get character cards in several ways. For example, they are often given as a reward for achieving certain goals or passing tests. Tests even allow you to get exclusive characters that are not available anywhere else. You can buy characters in the store. Some of them are sold for gold coins, and other heroes are sold for souls. At the time of writing, only one gold card character could be purchased in the store for coins - Cutthroat Kano. All other fighters are sold exclusively for souls - from 200 (Johnny Cage) to 350 (Inferno Scorpio).

Note. With update 2.0, the store has been radically redesigned. Now this is a separate tab where 3 character cards randomly appear (bronze, silver, gold from tests and the standard previous store). Characters change every 12 hours. You can only buy one fusion of each of the three characters available in the store for leveling up until they change

The store has a category “Card Sets”. Here you can purchase several exclusive characters that are not in the “Characters” category. Sets are sold for gold coins, allied points, souls, and some exclusively for real money.

Note. In version 1.19 of the game, the collection of alliance points was completely removed, as was the “help/attack allies” function. All accumulated union points were automatically converted into a union set, which became free to open once every 4 hours. In version 2.0 it was renamed to a bronze set with one free opening per day.

How to quickly upgrade your character and what is “Elite”

To strengthen your character, you should be guided by the following:

  • Try to fight with the same squad to increase the level of each character. In different tournaments you will increase different amounts of experience points. The most experience can be gained in the Faction Wars mode. Join one of the factions and fight online.
  • Buy character cards that you already have. Next, connect cards to increase the performance points of existing fighters. Characters improved by this method are classified as “Elite”. The maximum possible Elite level is 7. This means that you can connect the same character cards up to seven times. Note. Starting from version 1.18, all characters receive elite level X (tenth).
  • Buy equipment and accessories for your characters.
  • Open the card of the character you are pumping up or go to the “Support” store category. Here you should find cards with your character's name (for the second case). If you opened the fighter card, then pay attention to the three cards shown at the bottom of the screen, in the middle. There is also an inscription “Support” here. So, you can purchase as many of these cards as you want, which increase various parameters for this particular character. In most cases, the parameter is initially increased by 3%. If you buy two health boost cards and combine them, the supply will be increased by 6% (the points simply add up).
  • Upgrade your fighters' special techniques. It is highly recommended to pay attention to the second and third (if there is one) special techniques. Often the minimum and maximum damage values of the second special move (basic level, without leveling up) are significantly higher than the same parameters for the first special move, which has been fully leveled up. Upgrading a special technique costs 500 or more coins per upgrade. At the same time, the second special move for bronze and some silver characters costs 1000 coins. So why not unlock it right away? The best way to spend your coins is to level up your next special move!
  • You can win, receive as a reward, or buy a level up card. Try to spend such cards if your character’s level is very high: when you need to fight at least 10 battles to raise it.
  • Pay attention to each character's passive skill. If you open an existing character card, you will see the inscription “Discipline” at the top and what effect the individual skill imposes on the entire squad. If you open a character card located in the store, the skill will be described on the left side of the screen.

About maximum levels of development

At the time of writing this guide, an account could be upgraded to level 51. As for the characters, they maximum level- 50. Thus, having pumped the character to level 50, maximizing his support cards, equipping best armor and wearing the best accessories, you will see the maximum skills of a fighter. But don't forget about the possibility of merging cards. You can connect identical character cards up to seven times. With each combination, the hero’s basic skills will improve.

Note. Also, from version 1.18 to the present, in addition to the tenfold increase in the merging of character cards up to the X elite, their level has also increased - with the presence of the 10th elite, it becomes possible to pump up the card of any fighter to level 60. Level account also increased to 60.
