Solitaire is a type of card game for one player. Solitaire layouts have become one of the standard entertainments of the famous operating system. There are layouts for 52 and 36 cards; the article will describe several varieties of the game and provide rules on how to play solitaire (36 cards).

Solitaire games are a great way to relax and pass the time. There are not only playing cards, but also layouts. Although in this way you can only get “yes/no” answers to very simple questions from the cards.

How to play Solitaire "Klondike" from 36 cards

"Klondike" is one of the most popular and famous solitaire games around the world. This type of layout was included in the standard set of games in the widely used operating system. The rules of the layout are extremely simple.

For the layout, decks of 36 and 52 cards are used. To play solitaire (36 cards), as in every other card game, you need to know the rules. There is a variant of a large layout with 104 cards from two decks (52 cards). For this version of the game, 10 rows are laid out, for playing on one deck of 52 - 6 rows, for a regular playing deck (36 cards) the rows are reduced to 5. The cards are laid out face down. The first row lays out 1 card in each column, in the 2nd row they lay out a card in only 5 columns, in the third - in 4, and so on. The last card in each column is turned face up.

The remaining cards are set aside and used when the options for moving the layout run out. You can flip through the deck three cards at a time. The last one in the three is considered active; the middle one can only be taken after the one closest to the player. In the Big layout, you can turn over the deck only once; in the 36-card layout, the use of coupon cards (from the deck) is not limited. To simplify the game, beginners can take one card from the coupon.

Rules of the game (36 cards), how to play Klondike solitaire:

  1. Aces serve as the basis for building a deck by suit. When opening an ace, it is laid out separately, further collection of the suit is carried out in an ascending order, from smallest to largest.
  2. After moving the active card of a column, the next one must be turned face up.
  3. You can only place cards of different colors on top of each other in playing columns, for example, spades on hearts or diamonds on crosses.
  4. The layout of cards in columns is carried out in a descending direction - from the king to the sixes.
  5. A king of any suit can be moved with the entire stack to the place of the vacated column.

That's all the rules. Solitaire is considered played when all the cards are collected on aces appropriate suits.

How to play Spider Solitaire with 36 cards

A playing deck is rarely used for Spider Solitaire. It can be played with one, two or four suits. To play, take 2 or 4 decks at once, depending on the desired complexity.

Step-by-step instructions for 4 decks of 36 cards on how to play Spider Solitaire:

  1. Lay out cards of 6 pieces in the first 4 rows and 5 pieces in the rest. There should be a total of 54 cards on the playing table.
  2. Lay out the last row face up - these are the active cards.
  3. The remaining 80 cards can be folded into a deck - a coupon, or can be laid out to the side in 8 lines of 10 cards each, face down.
  4. The cards are laid out on top of each other in order from high to low of the same suit. The Ace is considered the lowest card!
  5. If there are no more options for moving cards, you need to take one of the set aside rulers and place one card face up on each row in the game.
  6. In place of the empty column, you can move any card or a continuous combination of them, starting with the highest one.
  7. If in a column it is possible to collect a sequence from king to ace of the same suit, such a combination is removed in a pile to the side of the layout. The goal of the game is to clear the field of cards.

You can play with fewer decks, then the number of rows must also be reduced. So, for 3 decks (36 cards), you need to make 8 columns, one half of which has 7 cards each and the second half has 6 pieces. Playing with fewer decks isn't as fun.

"Grandma's arrangement"

A very simple but interesting version of 36 card solitaire. The deck is laid out in 3 identical columns of fans of 3 cards each, as shown in the photo below. The goal of the game is to collect sequences of each suit from Ace to Six.

The active card is the top one in each fan. The dropped aces are immediately placed aside. You can only place cards of the same value on top of each other, but their number in a fan should not exceed four. In a deadlock situation, the deck is collected, shuffled and again laid out in threes. The solitaire game is considered completed if the combinations are completed in three hands.

Pyramid Solitaire

"Pyramid" is a very simple way to play solitaire (36 cards). You need to shuffle the deck and lay out 9 rows of 4 cards, the last ones in a column with the suit up. Next, you need to look for pairs of cards of the same value; such pairs are eliminated from the layout, and the cards under them are revealed. You can't do anything with empty column spaces. The layout is considered folded if all cards are eliminated.

Rules for fortune telling on cards

It's no secret that cards can reveal the future. How to play solitaire - fortune telling from 36 cards? There are several simple signs and requirements for a fortune telling deck. You can't tell fortunes with playing cards. Strangers should not touch the deck. It is better to keep several sets of cards, one for personal needs, the second for fortune telling for strangers. You should not ask questions to cards in a bad or depressed mood.

Each fortune telling deck should have its own storage place, for example, a beautiful velvet bag. You should not ask all the questions in one sitting; many answers will not be even approximately correct. Also, do not ask for help from cards over trifles and ask the same question twice. The most accurate layouts are made for a period of time no more than 3 months.

Alignment according to desire

There are very simple fortune-telling solitaire games (36 cards) based on desire. How to lay out one of them is described below. Before starting the layout, you should hold the deck in your hands, thinking about your desire. Next, you should mix the deck well and lay out two cards face down next to each other. The remaining cards are laid out equally in 2 rows, suit up; you need to start the layout with the last ones laid out.

The first four are considered, if there are cards of the same value in each column, they are put aside, attention moves to the next four. For example, in the first column there is a nine of spades, and in the second there is a nine of crosses; they can be located opposite each other or diagonally. The final result should be two cards suited up and two cards face down. The wish will come true if the paired cards are in the same column. If the layout reaches a dead end earlier or cards of the same value end up in different columns, you should not expect the plan to be fulfilled.

Solitaire "Vorozhba"

“Divination” is another way to play solitaire (36 cards) based on desire. You need to make a wish and shuffle the deck. The cards are laid out face down in 5 piles of 7 each, the last one is revealed. The exposed card becomes the intended suit.

Next, the stacks must be opened sequentially one card at a time. A suit that does not match the intended one and cards with a value of less than 10 of any suit are removed from the solitaire game. For example, if the last card is a cross, the stack is opened until a ten, jack, queen, king, or ace is found. The action is repeated with each column. Found and not opened cards are collected from the end - from the last one to the open one, the deck is already laid out into 4 columns without shuffling. The entire sequence of moves is repeated until there are 5 cards left in the hands. Solitaire is successful if all five cards are of the desired suit and have a value higher than 10. In any other case, there are obstacles on the way to fulfillment of a wish.

Solitaire "Loves - does not love": layout

When the deck runs out, the remaining cards are collected in order from the last one laid out to the first. Then the layout is carried out on 5 cards in two rows, without interfering. The actions are repeated sequentially, reducing the number of cards in a row to two.

Solitaire "Loves - does not love": interpretation of the result

The result of fortune telling depends on the number of remaining pairs on the table. If there are two cards left, you can order a dress and look for comfortable wedding shoes. Two pairs that were not eliminated indicate a strong feeling, three indicate interest, four indicate the young man’s longing for the fortune teller, five pairs indicate slight interest, six indicate betrayal. If there are seven or more pairs left on the table, the solitaire game is not successful, you need to try to play it again.

Solitaire is an ancient science that can predict the fate of many people. It is generally accepted that in human life everything is predetermined by the book of destinies itself; if you wish, you can find out in advance what is destined for each person. This opportunity allows many to significantly improve their future lives. These kinds of questions can be resolved using all sorts of mystical techniques, including solitaire fortune telling.

No one can accurately name the creator of the ancient solitaire game.

This story did not spare Marie Antoinette either. While in a prison cell, the French queen decided to tell fortunes and, through the interpretation of solitaire, earn a pardon. She learned from the prisoners that if the situation worked out, she could safely avoid execution. The queen's game of solitaire did not work out.

Today it is impossible to understand which of the existing stories actually took place and which remained fiction. Although one thing can be completely sure, all the origins of the fortune telling of ancient solitaire lead to France. Translated from French, “solitaire” means “patience,” which is quite justified, since the layout of the cards represents a kind of meditation and spiritual solitude. The fortuneteller's task is to slowly lay out the cards. As he unfolds, he must find meanings to the questions that interest him.

Today, ancient solitaire is played online for free using regular playing cards. And this happens both online and live.

Particular importance in fortune telling is given to how many cards are in the deck, what rules the layout follows, and how many matches there are.

In ancient times, our ancestors used to tell fortunes using homemade card drawings. Such cards are not similar to playing cards because of their symbolism, methods of solving and interpretation.

Playing solitaire - fortune telling rules

It can be noted that there are several types of such interesting fortune telling as solitaire. Each of them depends on a set of pictures, but their rules are similar, since in each one the dropped pictures are laid out, which then need to be combined with each other. Matching pictures are interpreted in a certain system. In ancient solitaire, the layout follows a strict rule.

In this type of layout, it is impossible to carry out the layout by rotating previously combined cards along their axis.

Many people know how important it is to learn to be patient when doing fortune telling. Cards must be laid out in a calm environment, completely relaxed. During fortune telling, fully concentrate your attention on the issue that interests you. While shuffling the cards, think about the problem that concerns you. Using your right hand, you need to remove several pictures from the deck and lay the cards face down. Play solitaire slowly. The meaning of folded pictures can be found out using a special list.

The interest of this type of fortune telling lies in the fact that one question can be answered with several interpretations at once.

One of the answers received will have a dominant role, the other will serve as a supplement.

Solitaire is one of the types of fortune telling that is available to anyone. To get an answer to the question asked, you will need to correctly lay out the cards on the table, form a certain group or groups of suitable cards, and correctly interpret the answer. We will look at options for an expanded deck (52 cards), but you can also play with fewer cards.

For the schedule you need:

  • Card deck.
  • Some free time.
  • Smooth and clean surface.

Goal: remove all cards from the rows.

  • First of all, carefully shuffle the deck. Next, we lay out five horizontal rows, which consist of ten open cards. We place the remaining two cards in the sixth row under the first two columns.
  • You can only remove two cards of the same value. For example, two queens or two aces. Only the bottom cards are available for forming a pair, the rest are face-down. We remove all pairs from the line. When a pair is formed and removed from the field, access to previous cards opens.
  • Solitaire is considered successful if there are no cards on the surface. If something remains, we start again.

How to play solitaire on cards - Russian

Goal: collect all the cards in the base as they increase.

  • We lay out seven ascending stacks. The first consists of one card, then two, then three, etc. up to six cards face down.
  • In the first column we turn the card up. It remains unchanged. On the others we place five open cards on top, placing them in a ladder.
  • On the side there is a base of four cells. The foundation will be aces, so if there are aces in the layout, feel free to send them to the base. The collection is based on suit, therefore, we place the aces in different cells. Then come the deuces and, in ascending order, the kings close the chain.
  • After manipulating the bases, we consider the resulting cells. Available for movement are the bottom cards or stacks that match the suit and ascending cards. For example, we move the seven to the eight of the same suit, and drag the eight and seven to the same nine.
  • If a column is vacated during the transfer process, then we transfer the king or a group of cards that begins with the king there. It is not allowed to move anything else into an empty space.
  • Solitaire is completed if all cells are filled from Ace to King according to suit. Otherwise, it’s a loss.

How to play solitaire on cards - pyramid

Goal: Remove cards in pairs that add up to thirteen points.

  • We carefully shuffle the deck and lay it out in the following order horizontally, face down: there is one card in the first row, two in the second, three in the third, four in the fourth, five in the fifth, six in the sixth, seven in the seventh. We get a kind of pyramid.
  • Set the remaining deck aside. You'll need it a little later.
  • We remove cards that give a total of thirteen points. The king gives thirteen points of points, the queen - twelve, the jack - eleven, the ace - only one point. All other cards are ranked according to their value in the deck. If we can’t form the desired combination, then we turn to the deck.
  • We remove the top card from the deck, if it gives a total of thirteen points with another card, then we put it away, if not, we remove the next one. The player has access only to the bottom row, not covered by other cards; taking from the middle is prohibited. The kings are removed one by one.
  • The layout is considered winning if there are no cards on the table, taking into account the reserve deck.

How to play solitaire on cards - three

Goal: collect all cards in ascending order, respecting the suit.

  • We lay out the deck into seventeen stacks of three cards, face down. The eighteenth pile must contain four cards.
  • We drag in all the aces from the laid out cards and place them higher, arranged by suit. They form the base where we will distribute cards in ascending order in the future.
  • Only the outermost cards in the columns are open for collection. They can be moved to other rows, but only to identical cards. For example, a six can only be transferred to a six, and a queen to a queen. When moving, the suit is not taken into account. The only limitation is no more than three cards in a column.
  • If you managed to remove all the cards in ascending order, not forgetting the division by suit, then the solitaire game is considered successful.

Solitaire can be an element of fortune telling or a way to have fun. Please note that some solitaire games do not work out the first time - you will have to practice to remove all the cards. The most important thing is to remember that it is not the result that is important, but the process itself.

Solitaire is an ancient folk fortune-telling game based on symbols. So old that even the cards are considered young in comparison. Solitaire cards can have a large number of symbols. Moreover, some sets may differ from others not only in symbols, but also in their meaning. Russian solitaire can also use a regular playing deck of cards, which are also effective in the layout and can answer questions posed during the ritual.

Fortune telling through solitaire is quite simple. The main thing is to know where to start and what actions to perform during the ritual.

In this case, you need to keep an eye on the cards being laid out; if they coincide with the called cards, then they are put aside and then deciphered.

    Solitaire and its historical role

Solitaire is the ancient science of predicting fate. It is believed that everything in human destiny is predetermined, but if it is predetermined, then it can be foreseen. If desired, everyone is able to adjust and improve their future life. Various mystical techniques, including solitaire fortune telling, help resolve such issues.

The historical fact of the origin of solitaire is ambiguous. Someone attributes the authorship to the French mathematician Pellison, who surprised King Louis XIV himself with his new entertainment. Others believe that this was a sure way for Bastille prisoners to predict their fate. There is also a legend about Marie Antoinette.

Playing solitaire while in a prison cell, the French queen hoped for a pardon. One of the prisoners told her that if she played solitaire, she could avoid execution. Her solitaire game never worked out.

What is true and what is fictional stories is no longer clear, but one thing is clear: all the origins of solitaire lead to France. Translated from French, this mysterious word means “patience.” And quite reasonable. After all, a card layout is a kind of meditation, agreement with oneself, spiritual solitude. The fortuneteller must slowly lay out the pictures, look for similarities and find answers to the questions that torment him.

Nowadays, ordinary playing cards are often used as a tool for Russian solitaire. Importance is given to the number of cards in the deck, the rules of the layout and its coincidence. In the old days, our distant ancestors used homemade card designs for solitaire. These cards differ from playing cards in their symbols and ways of solving and interpreting them.

    Vintage Solitaire

This type of solitaire is noted for its picturesqueness, originality, and vitality. After all, fortune telling cards were made by fortune tellers themselves. They put not only skill into this, but also a piece of their soul.

The drawings contain meanings close to us and images familiar from everyday life.

In another way, this method of fortune telling is called Indian. It differs from ordinary fortune telling in that it contains life symbols.

    How to make cards?

The ancient solitaire game that our grandmothers played involves the use of homemade cards. Colorful, simple pictures are drawn on the cards. To do this, just take white or any other colored cardboard, cut out the required number of rectangles from it, in our version 40 pieces, and paint. The images on the cards must correspond to the symbols from the interpreter.

For those who find it difficult to draw on their own, we can advise you to print out suitable pictures on a printer or cut them out of magazines, and then stick them on prepared cards. Cover each cut card with transparent tape.

Cut each card in half. So from each card we got two adjacent cards required for playing the old solitaire game.

    Layout rules

Take the cards in your hands and focus. Ask your question. When playing solitaire, you can refer to past events, as well as to future ones, and to the present. A solitaire session is dedicated to one event. You must analyze your question, the situation as a whole regarding the problem. You don't have to think about anything else, just maps and imaginary visions on your exciting topic.

Lay out the cards in five rows of five cards each. They laid out the first row, followed by the second, etc. Afterwards, you need to carefully examine the cards following each other for coincidence, both in the horizontal and vertical directions. Cards can be rotated around their axis, but cannot be swapped.

Don't take the interpreter too literally. Everyone has their own situation, and you need to be able to apply the information received in accordance with it. A picture has emerged, look at its meaning, take your time, think about what it means to you.

Please note that if several coincidences have accumulated nearby in one place, perhaps this is some kind of sign that only you can understand.

Don't play old solitaire too often. It is believed that the information that the magic of the cards reveals to you is given several decades in advance. One row of the layout – 10 days.

As a rule, 5 rows of the layout are made, which means that it is best to play solitaire no earlier than after 5 weeks or once every two months. However, for simpler quick questions, you can consider it as if one row is one day.

    Gypsy Solitaire

For this solitaire game you will need a 36-sheet deck of regular playing cards. Shuffle the deck and begin the spread. Think through your question in advance and throughout the entire fortune telling, look for and analyze events related to it.

Place 8 cards in a row, face down, go to the next row, lay out 8 cards again and so make 4 rows of face-down cards. You should have 4 cards left in your hands.

Your layout is a two-dimensional table. Rows - order of cards from king to six (without ace). Columns - diamonds, hearts, clubs, spades. Each card has its own place.

Take the first card from the four remaining and put it in place. Those. your card is jack of hearts, its place is the third card in the second row. You put it in its place, and move the one that was there to its place. For example, there was a six of spades, put it in the last row, instead of the last card.

Thus, you change all the sheets in a row until you hit any ace. You put it aside. Then take a card from the remaining three and look for its rightful place. Make a deal until the next ace and so on.

Solitaire is successful if the last card revealed is an ace, while the remaining cards are all in their places and open.
