How did laser tag (Q-Zar) appear?

Against the backdrop of general enthusiasm, the story of George Carter III, a resident of the United States, who had to create something no less popular than the creation of Lucas, turned out to be very remarkable.
Impressed by the images of the Jedi Knights with lightsabers, Carter decided to create an entirely new kind of combat sports. After all, the luminous swords looked very impressive, but efforts were required to make such a reality. To this end, Carter founded the company "Photon", which he quite easily was able to distribute in the United States and other countries of the world through franchising.
Of course, the Foton company only created an idea, modern laser tag did not exist then. However, in 1984, only seven years after the premiere of Star Wars, the Laser Zone company began to operate. Following it, other firms began to appear that competed with each other in a new field.
Particularly interesting and promising for fans of innovative entertainment was the Q-Zar system, which appeared in 1987 and has been successfully operating for almost three decades. The Australian creators of the modern form of laser tag sold their company for investment, so first Q-Zar became an Irish project and then an English one. By the mid-nineties of the last century, there were already up to three hundred arenas where players competed with each other.
For many laser tag fans around the world, the style introduced by Q-Zar, that is, in a limited arena, is considered the main form of playing the game. However, in Russia this system is not so popular: players like space and freedom of action, so they prefer other forms of play.
