Legion: Priest Artifacts. How to get a hidden artifact type for the Discipline spec

In a huge, darkened hall, many people gathered, wrapped in assorted robes. Or maybe non-humans? It doesn't matter, though. They all sat in complete silence, waiting for the one at whose whim they had all gathered here. The girl was late, and the figure sitting at the head of the table was tapping her knuckles in irritation. Finally, when the patience of those waiting had already come to an end, the doors of the meeting room swung open sharply, and a slender brunette in blue-black clothes flew into them like a fury.

Mall! You kept us waiting! - the Chief said in an accusing tone. - I hope you have a good reason to convene the full council!

Your Eminence,” she spoke nervously. - I just received information about the heirs of the elements and...

These are your heirs again! - some woman sitting on the right hand of the Chief snorted displeasedly. - We, it seems, have already told you that we have no right to interfere in the fate of this world, as well as in the fate of other worlds.

Yes, but... - Mall began.

Moreover! - the same woman interrupted harshly. “You’ve already interfered with the course of Earth’s history once, wasn’t that lesson enough for you?!”

Yes, listen, finally!!! - Mall raised her voice. - The four heirs of the elements were defeated! Now only Zarnitsyn is fighting on planet Earth! He can't do it alone, that's a fact. If their world loses the power of light, Gordos will simply take it over! Where are the guarantees that he won’t switch to other worlds later?

Of the five heirs, only light remains?! - The Chief was amazed.

Yes! - Mall nodded. “I understand that we shouldn’t interfere, but this is a special case.” The course of history begins to change and is out of our control. Most prophecies collapse like houses of cards!

“I don’t think it’s all that serious,” the Chief objected softly. - Prophecies that have no basis to refute have never been proven wrong. But now you're right. Zarnitsyn needs help. How do you intend to intervene?

“I’ll take my subordinates and go to Siniodus,” Mell shrugged.

“I forgot to mention one small detail,” Mell smiled slyly and turned to the Chief: “Your Eminence, I found what you asked for.” It is on planet “Earth” that that artifact is stored. But it will be destroyed if the forces of light and darkness overlap. This is why I want to personally be present on the battlefield and fight Angelique.

Hmm...there is a reason in your words,” he nodded. - Well, if most of the council does not mind, I will allow you to act at your own discretion. So, who agrees with Melissa de Antoire von Weider's plan?

Well, as you can see, the majority of the council members decided to support you. Please don't make them regret your decision later. You can go!

Thank you, Your Eminence,” the girl bowed slightly and almost ran out of the hall.

And yet, I wouldn’t allow her so many liberties,” muttered the woman who was against this campaign initially. - She is too young and inexperienced!

I don’t think anything terrible will happen if the girl has a little fun,” the Chief smiled. “You all know perfectly well what fate awaits her.” I suppose a little excursion to Earth wouldn't do her any harm. In any case, the job has already been done, let's not pound the water in a mortar. The meeting is over, everyone is free!

The chairs silently moved away from the huge table, and everyone present quickly began to scatter through the numerous doors leading from the hall. Soon there was no one left here, only the dying candles still indicated that the fate of an entire planet had recently been decided here...

* * *

Siniodus had long since dissolved in the dazzling white radiance of light that streamed from Zarnitsyn’s body in an endless stream. Gordos and his henchmen unsuccessfully tried to hit Rinat at random, but with eyes closed this turned out to be practically impossible. The few who tried to look at the guy had long since gone blind. The undead, who were trying to hide from the elements that had fallen on them, had almost died. Only the most tenacious remained. Vampires, for example, were incredibly surprised that light could leave only ashes of them. In the end, a vampire is the highest undead, and the fact that sunlight is destructive for them is just the prejudice of non-magical creatures. But now even vampires have begun to believe these superstitions.

The strangest thing was that after the explosion of the medallion, the light should have escaped and dissipated, but this did not happen. On the contrary, Rinat glowed brighter and brighter, and the energy didn’t even think about ending. As it turned out, the guy was in a state of shock. He didn’t even see or hear what was happening around him, the battle was raging inside him...

Runya stood in the middle of an empty gray room opposite... himself. He did not understand what all this meant and stubbornly refused to talk to himself, convincing himself that he had not yet gone crazy to that extent. However, the clone was extremely clingy.

Kill Gordos! And at the same time, he’s also screwed all of him,” the clone insisted. - It costs you nothing now! One hit and everyone will die.

Zarnitsyn was silent.

Think about it, they killed your friends, but how many people have they destroyed throughout their existence? If you don't end this, who will?

Silence.

Don't want to kill? - The clone chuckled knowingly. - Well, it’s your business, of course, but... you found someone to feel sorry for! Gordosa! A murderer who killed thousands of souls!

If I hit, I’ll kill the teachers and students too,” Rinat couldn’t resist and raised his voice. - Do you think they deserve to die too?

“Nothing lasts forever,” the clone shrugged. - We all die someday, some earlier, some later... Yes, they will die. But you have to choose the lesser of two evils. Don't you think that the death of several hundred people is better than the death of the whole world? They will remain heroes in the hearts of the survivors. And you will ensure a happy future!

You can’t build happiness on someone else’s misfortune,” Runya objected. - There must be another way out!

Well, look for it,” the clone grinned. - And while you are looking, Markel will kill you...

While all sorts of obscenities were happening in Zarnitsyn’s head, the situation on the main square began to change. The light emanating from the guy was no longer so bright; it turned pale, slowly turning into gray tones. Gordos and his magicians could already see, and now they were trying to figure out how to break through Rinat’s barrier.

Rector, what's going on? - Ornella became worried. “Wasn’t the light supposed to destroy Markel?” So far I only see defeated undead - look, how much ashes.

Now the worst thing that could happen to Rinat is happening,” Amadeus frowned. - The fact is that the light has two sides. One is well known to all of us. This is a creative force designed to protect. The other side is the damned side. A light that is destructive to the whole world. It is because of this duality that the power of light is extremely rare. Not every magician can make the right choice, and therefore most often dies, destroying his planet. This has already happened to eight planets of our solar system...

What happens after the choice? - the senior students became interested.

Well, if they choose true light, they become ordinary owners of the elements, naturally more capable than owners of low-level elements. And if they choose the cursed light... so far in the history of measurements there has been only one case when someone who chose the dark side of the light survived... many years ago this magician was Gordos...

Who?! - Viterias was surprised.

“A distant relative of Markel,” answered Firriander. - Then the true power of light went to two people - Gordos and Merlin. Merlin was able to awaken the elements earlier, after which he stopped the destruction that began due to the wrong choice of Gordos. The only way to stop the cursed light is to destroy its carrier. And to destroy such a magician, you need someone of equal strength. Our planet was lucky - Merlin turned out to be stronger.

“And if Rinat can’t make the right choice,” Ornella said quietly, “who will be able to stop him?”

“I’m afraid no one,” the rector shook his head sadly. - The cursed light is much stronger than normal light due to the uncontrollability of the elements. Rinat simply uses all the power available to him, and we have no counterweight - he draws energy directly from the sun.

And...there's no way we can help him?

No,” Amadeus muttered barely audibly. - This is his battle. We can only believe...

And Rinat still continued to argue with his clone, as always changing the topic of conversation.

Well, let’s say I agree to your proposal,” the guy bent his fingers, “I just can’t understand one thing: who are you?” And why do you need all this?

I? - The clone was immensely surprised. - Actually, I am you. Your second essence. An inner voice, if you will. And all I need is to survive. So I’m trying to reason with you and guide you on the right path.

What are you saying? - Zarnitsyn sang sarcastically. - Don’t you take on too much, voice? You didn’t advise me to kill someone before!

Well, this... the situation has changed...

Yes? - Rinat arched an eyebrow. - And in what place?

Don’t you understand it yourself?! - he began to get angry. - Siniodus is badly corrupted, Firriander can’t do anything...

Siniodus wasn't hurt that bad! And Firriander is just waiting for the right moment!

How many people died?! And for what? Everyone died just so you could kill Markel!!! Your friends, by the way, too...

They are still alive! - Runya hissed. - I feel it... And the others did not die so that I could kill Gordos. They tried to protect me...

What's the difference? - the clone was amazed.

Don’t you see for yourself?..

Lord, how difficult it is with you! Not a single heir of the world has ever been so intractable and stubborn! Let’s choose the light already, after all... oh,” the clone faltered.

What you said? - Runya asked quietly, he was already starting to get angry. - Other heirs? Choice? You are clearly not my inner voice! - the guy concluded.

Okay, I’m lost,” he backed down, not in a hurry, however, to take on his real form, if he has one, of course.

And now I want to hear the truth!

“There’s nothing special to talk about,” the clone said simply. -You must choose the essence of light. There are two of them - Strong and weak!

What stupidity! - Runya snorted. - Strength is strength. She has her own disadvantages and advantages. So I accept both sides and be done with it!

“It doesn’t happen like that,” there was a malicious laugh. - Two mutually repulsive lights cannot get along together - it will simply kill you! In short, I'm tired of persuading you - you have a minute to think! Choose!

Zarnitsyn fell silent and made a stupid face, trying to understand what they were offering him to choose from. As luck would have it, no sensible thoughts came into my head.

Suddenly, from somewhere deep in my consciousness, various fragments of phrases began to emerge:

“Please protect the world... stop Gordos... you bring hope... you can do it, do it... if you give him power, I will kill you myself... Be careful with this Fyrkel of yours... a lot depends on you... I believe in you...”

Numerous voices and memories swirled around Zarnitsyn in a whirlpool. The guy heard and saw a lot of important and unimportant things. The faces of friends and family popped up, the events of past days flashed by, forcing me to relive the past... Everything ended as suddenly as it had begun. Zarnitsyn turned to the clone, listening to his screams in surprise.

Come on, let's go away! There is no point in confusing him with your instructions! Let him choose, without any personalities! And where did so many of you come from?! - as it turned out, the memories and voices were quite material. And no wonder - after all, everything was happening in Rinat’s head now.

Don’t yell,” Runya said calmly. - I made a choice.

Well? - The clone looked from under his brows, already assuming that he would not like the answer, although he still had no idea how much.

Light is a protective force. Everyone I ever met hoped that I could protect them. They believed in me, and I can't help but live up to their hopes.

So, after all, this light,” the clone drawled displeasedly, “well, it’s a shame that it’s not cursed.” It's a pity…

“I haven’t finished yet,” Zarnitsyn said imperiously. “Protection and faith are, of course, good, but don’t forget that you won’t get far without combat magic.” Therefore, I also need the other, destructive side of the world. So, I choose both powers, and this is my final decision!

What?! - the clone choked. - But this is impossible! You won't achieve anything this way! The forces will contradict each other inside you and in the end they will kill you!

“They won’t kill me,” the guy shook his head. “You don’t know me too well if you think that I will allow some force to destroy me!”

As if she will ask you!

Have to! I will not rush from one side of the world to the other. I'll just use the right force at the right time in the right place.

Ha! - the clone shouted triumphantly. - As you can see, you are still inside yourself, which means the force is against your decision!

How's that? - Rinat arched his eyebrow mockingly. - In that case, I left here. And I don’t care whether my strength is against it or not. Since she has settled in me, be kind enough to maintain subordination.

Having blurted out all this, Zarnitsyn simply focused on the main square of Siniodus and, with a stony expression on his face, firmly intended to return to his rightful body.

For the first few seconds nothing happened, and then the extremely frightened clone began to melt, not understanding how this could happen. Soon he disappeared completely, and the satisfied Runka could not understand what he had done that was so impossible...

Rinat again examined the greatly thinned army of Gordos, already in complete control of his body. The guy decided to immediately test his capabilities without delaying it.

First, the protective one... - he mumbled, touching the already badly cracked barrier. From one touch, it was immediately renewed and began to shine with sunlight again. “Great, and now for combat…” the guy waved his hand obliquely, and a hot ray of light immediately burned an impressive fool into the leg of one of Gordos’s magicians, who immediately howled in pain. “Now let’s see how creative my element is,” Zarnitsyn squinted slyly.

His eyes shone again with a blinding light, instantly flooding the surroundings. No one really understood what exactly Rinat was doing, they only noticed that the light did not harm anyone, it only temporarily paralyzed opponents.

“I can’t believe my eyes,” Firriander admired. - He managed to combine two lights into one! This has never happened in history! This means that the prophecies did not lie, the current owners of power will really change the world...

But...how...they are dead... - Professor Rualski did not understand.

I don’t think so,” Firriand smiled. - Yes, they are unconscious, yes, they have very little time left to live, but they are still alive...

What are you getting at?

The magic of light has incredible healing energy. Now Rinat is healing the mortal wounds of his friends. Of course, they will not be able to fully recover soon, but there will no longer be a threat to life! If, of course, they have an energy transmitter with them. There are so many magicians high level It cannot be healed simply by light energy. The healing power itself can only save ordinary wizards. You did everything right, right, Ornella?

Yes...I talked to Olga...

“Wonderful,” the rector rubbed his hands excitedly. - This means that now each of the heirs has an object that was once given to them by Rinat. The object is charged with the power of light, which means the energy transmitter is working in full swing!

In this case, I propose to engage in battle with the remnants of Gordos’s army! - Professor Parton's eyes sparkled.

There are still too many of them for us anyway,” noted Anna Rualski.

It seems that the situation is changing... - Firriand brightened. - Someone finally managed to call the opera magicians!!

And indeed, about a hundred operamags were rapidly approaching Siniodus. True, they walked rather slowly, a little dumbfounded by such a bright light. After all, no one warned them that Zarnitsyn had awakened the power, and they did not know whether it was dangerous or not.

Meanwhile, Rinat stopped treating the wounded and turned to Gordos with a brutal smile.

But now you will answer me for everything,” he said quietly and entered the battle.

The guy removed the barrier and created two light spheres, which immediately flew towards Gordos. He barely managed to jump back when both balls hit the ground and exploded, as if they were not sunlight, but grenades. Before Markel had time to come to his senses, a dozen fiery rays were already flying at him, from which the owner was protected by his loyal subjects.

Opera Mags! - Markel growled. - Detain them! Only those who flew with Angelica will stay with me! We will deal with Zarnitsyn ourselves. Fulfill!

About two hundred magicians immediately rushed to intercept the opera-magicians, but their path was unexpectedly blocked by senior students and teachers, led by Firriander. Realizing that the situation was becoming hopeless, Gordos ordered his the best magicians to cover him from Zarnitsyn, and he and Angelica began to summon higher demons - it was not for nothing that he spent so many years in the library of his castle.

Zarnitsyn methodically took the best sorcerers of Gordos out of the game, not killing, but simply exhausting them until they lost consciousness. He also drove the most persistent people into a frenzy with his statements mixed with choice obscenities. Everything around the guy shone and shimmered, preventing enemy spells from reaching their target, but his attacks were rarely ineffective. When only four magicians remained, demons suddenly appeared from all sides, easily destroyed Zarnitsyn’s barrier and flew at the amazed guy. However, he is not lacking in dexterity. Having dodged several attacks, Runya noticed that his shoulder was only slightly grazed. “Oh, a scratch...” he thought windily.

But right at the entrance to the castle the battle was in full swing. What kind of spells were flying there! The entire territory practically consisted of a fine grid of multi-colored lines and the energy of mass destruction. All this was accompanied by separate cries, and was covered with a thick layer of dust and ash, so that it was no longer possible to see who was fighting with whom there.

For Rinat, things were getting worse and worse. There were 14 demons, and each of them was strong opponent. Here it is no longer possible to get by with ordinary barriers; it was necessary to urgently come up with something original, but as luck would have it, nothing came to mind. “If only I could fight with a sword,” the guy thought with regret, “or there would be five of us...”

Angelica watched the fight with a strange look, and then suddenly she got tired of it and came forward. With a commanding movement of her hand, she summoned the remaining three dragons and set them on Rinat. He only at the last moment managed to notice the lizards hovering above him, shooting with targeted liquid flame. A quick snap of the fingers - and now the flame is spreading across the light barrier. “Damn, there are also dragons,” Zarnitsyn swore, “now I’m definitely a khan!” But help came from there for Svetka,” the guy looked at the mountains with a bit of jealousy.

Suddenly, the top of the central mountain, the one that did not shatter into pieces when Nika awakened the power of the earth, began to tremble noticeably. No, it didn’t explode, it was as if it had been cut off with a knife - evenly, neatly. And a moment later, a huge bird appeared from the formed crater, blazing with a white luminous flame. It was the legendary white phoenix, possessing enormous power. The same animal that the guys once read about on a card. Rare, considered extinct, superior in power to dragons.

Phoenix covered a gigantic distance in an instant and without hesitation rushed at the black dragons. There is a bright flash of fire, and now one of the black lizards is engulfed in unquenchable flame, and razor-sharp claws are pierced into its belly, tearing almost half of its body.

“How long have I been waiting for you...” came a croaking voice in Zarnitsyn’s head.

“Why did you decide to help me?” - asked the guy, already accustomed to mental conversations.

“Because you have awakened the true light! The one that connects two sides, not just one. Now you are my master. I made my choice."

“It turns out that white phoenixes don’t exist? - Rinat didn’t understand. “After all, no one has united the two sides before me.”

“There aren’t that many of us, that’s a fact,” confirmed feathered friend, - however, we rarely choose our owners. This is the prerogative of only the strongest and most resilient. Nowadays there are only two of them left - one of them is me.”

“Where is the second one?”

“What, am I not enough for you? - the phoenix asked offendedly. - The second one is sleeping, probably waiting for its owner to be born. And stop chattering, close the topic! So soon the demons will chop you up!”

While Runya was communicating with his new pet, he was actually attacked by demons. While the guy didn’t think about the fact that he was being attacked, his body mechanically dodged the blows, but as soon as he concentrated, he was immediately hit in the jaw with a heel, and then sharp claws slashed his chest. However, the scratches turned out to be only superficial, but they stung terribly. And the shirt was hopelessly ruined - I had to quickly shake off the rags, remaining naked to the waist, although in a cloak - it only covered my back, and therefore did not tear.

Meanwhile, the phoenix had already defeated the second dragon, only the last one remained, the same one on which Angelica flew. Runya unsuccessfully tried to cope with the demons, constantly retreating back. Finally, there was nowhere to go. The demons surrounded the guy in a tight ring. In addition to these terrible horned creatures, he was also fired upon by three powerful sorcerers led by Gordos, but here at least the barrier saved him...

Angelica and Markel were already squinting their eyes in anticipation of a quick victory, when a third party unexpectedly appeared on the battlefield. Fourteen people in black and white robes synchronously emerged from somewhere around the corner of the castle and rushed towards the circle of demons. They, having found their bearings in time, immediately began to fight with the new enemy, fortunately there were also 14 demons. Three magicians stepped forward, covering their master. They thought that Rinat was attacking them, but a beautiful girl in blue-black suddenly appeared right next to him and smiled carnivorously. Feeling the stranger’s strength, Markel backed away in fear. Angelica, however, was also somewhat embarrassed, but still did not feel afraid.

Father, sit on the last dragon and leave,” the girl whispered, “I’ll delay her.” You can't just kill me anyway.

You don’t understand, she... - Markel began.

“Don’t worry about me,” Angelica repeated. - It will even be interesting for me to fight with her.

But...how will you leave if I take the last dragon?

“I’ll find a way,” my daughter winked. - And you need to leave as soon as possible. Your strength is already at its limit. If Zarnitsyn gets to you, you may be defeated... And if this girl attacks... In general, father, I ask you, go away!

Gordos hesitated for a couple more moments, and then nodded and, at the last moment protecting the dragon from the fatal attack of the phoenix, saddled the lizard and soared into the sky.

You're lying, you won't leave!!! - Rinat screamed excitedly, completely not noticing Mall standing next to him. - I won’t let you out of here alive! Well, maybe in anti-magic shackles! For you, you goat, prison is crying, and for life!

Phoenix understood the owner at a glance. The bird suddenly sank to the ground and extended its wing, along which Runya quickly climbed onto the back of the burning phoenix. The guy was immensely surprised when he realized that the fire did not burn at all, but on the contrary, warmed him so tenderly.

“I did this only for you, not ardently,” the phoenix stated, forestalling questions, “you are my master, you are allowed.” But in general, I’m a proud bird, I don’t drag around just anyone!”

“Okay, proud bird,” Zarnitsyn mimicked, “turn on the propeller, we need to catch up with the asshole!” Oh, by the way, what’s your name?”

“I don’t have a name! - Fenka croaked, picking up speed and starting after Markel, - and I don’t need it. Just call me phoenix."

“No way! - Rinat was indignant. - Since you don’t have a name, we’ll come up with one! So, I will call you Zigadlla! Yes exactly! I like! Your new name is Zigadlla! Diminutive - Zig!

"Are you crazy? - Fenya choked. “I will not respond to such a terrible nickname!”

“Where can you go?” the guy waved his hand. - Don't be indignant, Zig! You’ll see, in a week or two, you’ll definitely like your name.”

“Lord, why did you reward me with such a terrible owner?” - the phoenix sighed and, stopping all conversations, completely focused on the chase. While the couple was chatting, Markel had a good break and was heading towards the mountains.

* * *

Meanwhile, Angelica, noticing that Rinat was chasing her father, decided not to contact Mall and stepped aside. She began to recite the elemental spell. It was this magic that Tokotyrkova recently took advantage of, becoming a tornado. True, Olga did not use any spells, but simply merged with the elements, sacrificing her essence. Angelica knew a spell that allowed her to do the same thing, but without the slightest risk and without losing her essence.

Stop, bitch, I'll kill you! - Mall squealed when she saw what Angelica was up to.

The girl took a step towards her opponent, but her path was immediately blocked by the three remaining magicians. The demons still continued to fight with strange people who clearly had superhuman capabilities. The strengths were approximately equal, all that remained was to wait to see who would get tired faster.

From the road! - Mall barked, but the magicians didn’t even move.

I had to kill. With a familiar movement, the girl materialized in her hands a strange, eye-catching black sword, which constantly changed its shape in appearance. But on the whole it remained a well-honed military weapon. One movement - and now the first magician falls dead, struck by a precise blow to the heart. The other two hastily begin to create some kind of complex spell, but Mall only put her palm forward, and a frightening, caustic black energy strikes both opponents with a powerful column. Emptiness is a terrible element. There is nothing left of people - neither body, nor soul, nor history...

The fight lasted about 20-30 seconds, but Angelica still managed to create a spell and, turning into a black hurricane, rushed after Zarnitsyn. Mell was about to run after her, but one of her warriors shouted:

Madam, you can't leave now! We must finish the fight here first! Please don't leave us! If we manage quickly, we can build you a teleport!

Sighing heavily, the girl lowered her sword, and it immediately disappeared. She carefully examined the demons and, realizing where they were called from, began to read the reverse spell. When the last words left the girl’s lips, the demons, growling in their guts, began to slowly evaporate until they finally disappeared completely.

Mall turned to the dusty cloud where the others were still fighting and sighed, snapping her fingers. The dust settled immediately, and the spells were blocked and evaporated. The magicians waved their hands in bewilderment, trying to summon at least some kind of spell. Only the owners of their own elements continued to beat up their opponents with their strength. However, this soon stopped. As soon as Mell's people rushed into the thick of the fighting. A few minutes later, all the surviving Gordos magicians were tightly bound with anti-magic shackles and placed under a barrier near the ruins of a fountain destroyed in last battle. Only after this did Melissa remove the magic block.

Thank you for your help,” Firriand thanked. - May I know your name?

Melissa de Antoire von Weider,” she introduced herself coldly.

“Very nice,” the man turned a little pale, vaguely guessing who was standing in front of him. - And my name is...

“I know,” the girl interrupted him. - Instead of making empty talk, it would be better to help Zarnitsyn!

And where he? Is he alive? - an excited voice came from somewhere under the rubble, and Tokotyrkova’s disheveled head appeared before the people.

My God, what a horror! - Mall burst out.

And you, one might think, are truly beautiful,” a malicious voice rang out, and the students turned their dumbfounded gaze to Riona, who was leaning against the castle wall. As you would expect, she was still stunningly beautiful, despite the fact that her makeup had long since been washed off.

Miss Felinger, please don’t be rude to everyone,” Ornella reprimanded her.

Professor Viterias, why is she making fun of Olga?! - came the indignant voice of Khitrova, smiling with all 32 teeth.

Firriander, if you don’t shut up your girls right now... - began Mell.

Why on earth should he shut them up?! - a man’s voice was heard, and Nick crawled out from somewhere from under a mountain of ash.

Under Mell's skeptical silence, all four heirs hobbled to Firriander and stared expectantly at the girl.

Is there something wrong? - she asked carefully.

Well, tell me who she is! - Olga barked, standing up.

She only narrowed her eyes slightly, and Olga immediately pressed her forehead against the ground.

If you do that again, you’ll have to deal with me,” Riona threatened.

“You don’t need to know who I am,” Mall said. - Much more important is that your friend is now fighting Markel alone. Moreover, Angelica will be there soon. And instead of helping him, I listen to your complaints!

So why are we sitting? - Nick grabbed his head.

We urgently need to go and save Runka! - Khitrova picked up.

You're not going anywhere! - Mell answered, emphasizing every word. -You are too weak to fight now. Moreover, you will not be able to cover such a long distance in such a short time. Zarnitsyn is now in the mountains, next to the crater of a newly formed volcano. Students and teachers are also unlikely to be able to help - they are not at the same level. Unless Firriander... Although no, he lost too much strength.

But we cannot sit idly by! Need to do something! - Riona exclaimed.

“Nothing for you,” Melissa shook her head. “I’ll leave my people with you to help with the detainees, and I’ll go to the volcano myself.” I promise I will do everything in my power to save him. The main thing is to be on time.

That’s not the main thing,” Riona objected. - Not everything depends on you here. You don't know Rinat well.

But it's true! - said Svetka. - He can pull such a trick that he will kill himself. We, of course, cannot demand the impossible, but you try to keep track, okay?

“This complicates things,” the girl chuckled thoughtfully. - Well, if nothing particularly serious happens, then I’ll keep an eye on it.

Well, since everything has been decided, let’s go,” Nick hurried her.

That's it, otherwise he's standing here scratching his tongue! - Olga, who had come to her senses, grumbled.

Mall looked displeasedly at Tokotyrkova, but there was no need to cast a spell - the impudent woman had already taken two heavy slaps on the head from Riona and Svetka, and now looked pitifully sideways at her friends, sincerely not understanding why she was hit.

Mall's subordinates, meanwhile, stood in a semicircle and raised their hands to the sky. Seven black and seven white rays immediately shot into the clouds, which a few moments later fell on Melissa’s head. Having absorbed the energy, the girl quickly spun around into herself and instantly turned into a black and white clot of power, rushing towards the volcano and leaving behind a trail of bluish smoke. When the clot was out of sight, the men in robes walked toward the prisoners.

Runka is on a volcano! - Svetka exclaimed, - that means I can help him!

No, you can’t, Miss Khitrova,” Amadeus shook his head. - Firstly, you, unlike Miss Felinger, have not yet awakened the element of lava, so you will not be able to control it. And secondly, you simply don’t have the strength right now. Rinat practically pulled you out of the other world! It will take at least a day to recover. It’s good that we can heal your fractures and other injuries in just a few days. Our healer will put anyone on their feet!

“He’s right, Light,” Riona admitted. “We can’t help Runa now.

I’m just wondering how he managed to resurrect us?! - Olga picked her nose thoughtfully and, realizing that she had been noticed, looked down, wiping her hand on the ground.

“Not to resurrect, but to heal,” Amadeus corrected. - No one can resurrect. This is impossible. I have already said it, but I will repeat it for you: Rinat once gave you his thing, which had the power of light in it. It was through it that he pumped his own energy into you, allowing your body to heal mortal wounds with the healing power of light.

Why didn’t he heal the fractures and scratches? - Olya responded somewhat offended.

Still not enough! - Riona became furious. - They almost pulled her out of the other world, and she’s still unhappy, she’s such a pig! I wish I could keep quiet! Her scratches, you see, were not cured!

That’s it, I’m silent, silent,” Tokotyrkova pressed herself in fear.

Tell me better, what kind of thing did Rinat give you? - Felinger asked more peacefully.

“A brooch,” Olga bleated and showed the trinket.

And we, as I understand it, survived thanks to the rings,” Nick noted.

Yes, probably,” Riona blushed, remembering the last conversation, and turned away embarrassedly.

What kind of rings? - Svetka became interested, her eyes sparkling.

It doesn’t matter,” Felinger hissed, “better tell me what he gave you?”

“Nothing,” the girl shrugged.

So how? - Amadeus didn’t understand.

Like this. He didn't give me anything.

But he somehow pumped energy into you! - Firriander exclaimed.

“He pumped it up even earlier,” Khitrova explained. - When we were in Moscow, he transferred his power to me so that I could use high-level fire for a long time. Apparently his energy did not have time to completely leave me, so it worked as a conductor healing power. Besides, before that I pumped so much energy from the birch tree that I was already seeing double! Apparently this saved me when I was hit in the back with a deadly spell.

Did the squint save you? - Riona asked sarcastically.

No, it’s a wedding ring,” Sveta answered in the same tone.

Riona immediately blushed and fell silent, muttering something like: “I’ll remember this for you, you’ll shed crocodile tears in my three streams.”

Look, something is sparkling and spinning on the mountain! - Nick exclaimed.

“It turns white, then it turns black,” Olga frowned.

And now the mountain was already covered with a black sphere, and then it splashed sharply in different directions and... time suddenly stopped, and all living beings in the world froze, except for two mythical animals and four magicians...

* * *

The Phoenix flew so fast that the wind whistled in Zarnitsyn's ears. Gordos's dragon easily maneuvered in the air and zigzagged like a hare, either soaring up or going down sharply. The chase lasted only ten minutes, no more, but it seemed to Rinat that an eternity had already passed. The guy himself was surprised why he had not yet fallen off his bird, which brilliantly repeated all the antics of the dragon, constantly turning over in the air.

When Markel realized that there was no way to escape the chase, he began to fire back with various spells, trying to hit Rinat, but he put up barriers of light in time. The Phoenix constantly exhaled more and more jets of white flame, trying to knock out the dragon, but at the last moment it managed to dodge or repel the attack with oncoming fire. But then another fiery volley - and the dragon, not having time to orient itself in time, loses its balance and falls down. His wings were paralyzed by the strange magic contained in the phoenix's fire, and, unable to fly, the dragon fell straight into the crater of the volcano.

Markel managed to jump off his pet at the last moment and land on a hard surface. Not even half a minute had passed when Zarnitsyn was nearby with his sword at the ready. His phoenix flew nearby.

Do you even know how to handle your toy? - Gordos grinned, materializing in his hands his strange sword shrouded in greenish fog.

I learned it especially for you,” Rinat answered him in the same tone.

Do you really think you can defeat me?

Do I really have a choice? - the guy arched an eyebrow.

There is always a choice! “We could agree,” the man tilted his head to the side.

Oh really? - Runya said venomously. - After all your antics? No, dear, it won’t work! We will fight, and may Zarnitsyn win!

Ham! - Markel shouted displeasedly and was the first to attack.

As then, in the dungeon, Excalibur again directed Rinat’s actions. The two swords crossed, and an explosion immediately rang out, throwing the opponents in different directions.

What is this? What the hell is this? - Gordos did not understand.

What's the difference?! - Zarnitsyn exclaimed, extremely pleased. - Just think, it booms! But the battle will be fair - whoever is the first to fall unsuccessfully after the explosion and break his neck will be the fool! And, of course, it won’t be me.

Cattle! - Markel squealed. - What did you do with my weapon?!

Oh, yes, I need your piece of hardware like a cockroach needs a slipper,” the guy snorted. - Stop screaming here already, defend yourself better!

Runya grunted and, swinging Excalibur like a woodcutter with an ax, ran towards Gordos. However, at the last moment the sword again forced the guy to accept correct position and strike accurately. Gordos defended himself in time, and the explosion was heard again. The combatants were again scattered in different directions. Hitting his back against a rock, Markel dropped his sword, and it flew somewhere into the abyss. Zarnitsyn held his sword tightly, although it also hit the rock pretty well.

Suddenly, lava began to bubble somewhere in the depths of the crater, and a slightly dented, but living, black dragon flew out. He furiously circled around the volcano and rushed at the phoenix with a menacing roar. Zig was not taken aback and instantly grappled with the enemy.

Ooh, a tenacious lizard! - Rinat raised his eyebrows. - Don't touch my phoenix! I'll bite your head off!

Your opponent is not a dragon, but me! - Gordos reminded himself, knocking the sword out of Zarnitsyn’s hands with the help of a spell.

Excalibur made an almost perfect arc and stuck into the ground far from Rinat. The guy immediately jumped to his feet and put up a barrier of light, reflecting the enemy's next spell.

Now the magic of the sword will not help you,” the man hissed maliciously. - Your magical skill is against mine! Let's see whose will take it!

Mine, naturally,” Zarnitsyn snorted, sending a sphere of light at Gordos. She barely missed, exploding a meter from Gordos.

Markel no longer intended to respond to provocations and again, as with Nick, he called upon swirling magical energy, which flew in a continuous stream towards Zarnitsyn. Runya sharply put his hands forward, in which rays of sunlight sparkled cheerfully, becoming brighter and brighter with every second. Finally, Rinat’s energy reached its peak, and a shining stream of light rushed towards Gordos’ magic.

The two forces collided, and everything around began to shake from an overabundance of magical energy. Both opponents fought tooth and nail, calling on more and more power. The light mixed with the fog, scorching the already bare rocky ground. It seemed that there was nothing to burn on the volcano, but along the entire perimeter of the top of the volcano there was a high wall of flame. Now the outcome of the battle depended not on the skill of the wizards, but on the amount of power available to them. The fight lasted only a few minutes, and Markel already felt that his energy was coming to an end. He had already spent too much energy fighting the other heirs, and now there was almost no chance of victory. Especially when you consider that Zarnitsyn’s energy is almost endless, because he is powered by any light source. As Gordos expected, the light covered more and more space, gradually eliminating the already weakly pulsating fog. Soon Markel lowered his hands exhaustedly, and a bright stream of light rushed into him, almost smearing the man across the rock.

Gordos slowly slid to the ground, feeling how everything inside had turned into one powerful lump of pain. The cursed light that Rinat used penetrated into the body and slowly killed the sorcerer from the inside. Zarnitsyn, not weakened at all, slowly approached the defeated enemy.

“I told you that victory would be mine,” he said calmly, looking at Markel.

Kill me,” Gordos wheezed, breathing heavily. “I know that your light will devour me from the inside, causing unbearable pain, but this will not happen earlier than in a day.”

Don't you want to suffer? - Runya grinned knowingly. - I'm sorry, but I can't help you here. I'm not a killer. I achieved my goal - you are defeated, your army is defeated, and your death is just a matter of time.

“This is cruel,” the man wheezed, writhing on the ground in pain. - Even I did not torture my enemies unnecessarily, I simply ended their lives.

Yah? - the guy raised an eyebrow. - Do you think they are grateful to you for this? In any case, it's on your conscience. And I highly doubt that you didn't torture anyone.

“My people, yes, but not me,” he answered. “Many of them don’t even know what pity is, and the screams of people writhing in pain give them pleasure.”

Your torment doesn’t give me any pleasure,” Rinat shrugged. - But I repeat once again: I will not kill you, I am not a murderer!

Well, have it your way,” Gordos resigned himself. - But keep in mind: my daughter will take revenge for me. Even you cannot resist her power, for her energy is as infinite as yours.

“I don’t care,” Runya smiled. “And I can only offer you one thing: kill yourself, if you can, of course.” You have a rich imagination - you will find a way to commit suicide.

Markel didn’t answer, he just wheezed with effort, choking on his own blood, which was slowly flowing from his mouth. Zarnitsyn thought about it; after all, he felt sorry for Gordos. Maybe it was worth finishing him off? On the other hand, this is exactly the kind of death he deserved...

Father! - an excited melodic voice interrupted Rinat’s thoughts, and the next second the guy realized that he was flying somewhere.

As it turned out, Angelica sent Runya on a long journey with an energy wave, straight to the forgotten excalibur.

Father, what did he do to you?! - the girl was nervous, sitting down next to Markel.

“My girl,” he smiled, “I’m glad you’re around...

Can I heal you? - Angelica interrupted him.

No... - Gordos slowly shook his head. - The cursed light cannot be removed from the affected organism. I have no more than a day left to live.

But how? - the girl was confused. “Zarnitsyn just woke up, he couldn’t have had that much strength to defeat you!”

It’s you who have the chance to win, and I’m just a concentrator of the elements, and I don’t have true powers...

“In that case, I will destroy him,” Angelica said decisively and rose to her feet. - And then I’ll take you home. Maybe I will still have time to find a way to heal you.

It’s too late, go away alone,” Markel said quietly. - Firriander will not just wait. Soon everyone else will be here and...

I don't want to listen to anything! - the girl screamed. - First I’ll get even with Zarnitsyn! And then I’ll take you home,” she repeated stubbornly and quickly walked towards Rinat.

Having moved away from her father to a safe distance, Angelica sharply raised her hand and, without warning, launched a branched lightning bolt at Rinat, from which he barely managed to jump away.

She has appeared! - Runya grimaced, - and I thought I wouldn’t wait!

You... - the girl hissed. - How dare you touch my father?!

“Just like he dared to touch my friends,” the guy answered calmly. - Or did you think that I would leave it unpunished? - Angelica was silent. - For everything in this life you have to pay, and an equal payment. Your father has lost a lot of lives - it's time to pay the bills. Will you say I'm wrong?

“Maybe he’s right,” the girl answered quietly. - I didn't want to kill you. From the very beginning, as soon as I saw it, I don’t know why, but I didn’t want to.

Yah? Why such an honor all of a sudden?

Dad said that this happens... - Angelica suddenly became embarrassed. - It seems like I haven’t seen young guys before or something like that...

“That’s enough,” the guy interrupted her and muttered: “that’s just what I was missing.”

But now all this doesn’t matter anymore,” the girl finished. “You killed my father, and now I will destroy you.”

Can you handle it?

“I’ll try,” she answered seriously and summoned the sword.

The girl watched in surprise as her weapon emerged from somewhere in the depths of the volcano and fell into her hands. Zarnitsyn immediately put Excalibur in front of him.

“I’m not a swordswoman,” Angelica smiled charmingly, “so I use weapons differently than my father did.”

With these words, the girl swung her sword, and the energy of darkness enveloped her, gradually becoming more and more. Rinat felt with every part of his skin the danger emanating from someone else’s power. There was no choice left and he, also raising his sword, called on the light.

This time the forces did not collide with each other; on the contrary, something inexplicable began to happen. The swords in the hands of the guys began to vibrate, gaining momentum every second and trying to clash in a duel. It took a lot of effort for both opponents to keep their weapons in their hands. Light and darkness mixed in the air gave birth to the third element - the power of shadows. A lot of bizarre monsters have already gathered around the guys, constantly increasing their numbers due to new images - each new shadow cast by this or that object gave birth to another monster...

The distance between Angelica and Rinat was quickly decreasing. The guys were using their last strength to restrain the weapons tearing from their hands, completely unaware of what was happening around them. And finally, the swords clashed...

There was a bright splash of light, which was immediately replaced by a light dark haze. The swords fell to the ground with a ringing sound, and the guys looked in fascination at the sphere filled with light and darkness located between them. Its shell burst with a quiet bang, and the energy began to take on the shape of some object. A few moments later, the guys looked in disbelief at the golden cup inlaid with gold floating in front of them. precious stones. It was empty, but Rinat and Angelica felt some inexplicable power lurking inside the object. The cup seemed to hypnotize...

Angelica was the first to come to her senses. Blinking in confusion, the girl frowned, remembering one of the ancient tomes that she happened to read. It seems that something was mentioned there about a similar item... Finally, the girl remembered and, without waiting for Rinat to wake up, she was the first to grab the cup.

The mountain shook. Angelica raised the artifact above her head, and a powerful pillar of darkness magic shot out of it, rushing into the heavens. A black swirling fog began to quickly envelop the surrounding area, destroying everything in its path.

Having finally woken up, Zarnitsyn looked around in amazement, not understanding what was happening around him. Seeing the darkness engulfing the world, the guy tried to attack Angelica with light, but in vain. The light simply dissolved before we even got there. Runya called on more and more light energy, trying to stop the girl, but all attempts were useless.

When the darkness, already a black sphere, descended on the mountain, it suddenly splashed out in different directions with millions of rays, which were supposed to create the same spheres again. And then time stopped, and something steel cut Angelique’s hands, forcing him to let go of the cup, which immediately fell to the ground and rolled somewhere.

What are you doing, you bastard?! - an indignant voice rang out, and Mell appeared from the fog.

You!!! - Angelica hissed angrily.

You?! - Rinat looked at the newly arrived in surprise.

Did you expect to see someone else? - the girl said in a steely voice. - I was right. The Holy Grail was indeed on this planet!

Grail? - Zarnitsyn was surprised. - Yes, you are driving! This is a myth. It was invented by the Templars, I think, but I don’t know why.

What stupidity! - Mall snorted. - The Holy Grail is a weapon of mass destruction created at the birth of the Universe. It is designed to destroy unwanted or unnecessary worlds. It is impossible to subjugate or destroy this artifact.

Are you saying that Angelica was now trying to destroy the planet? - Zarnitsyn opened his mouth. - But why?!

Because that's what I wanted! - she answered arrogantly and immediately drooped, - actually, I only wanted to kill Rinat...

It’s good that you stopped her,” Runya chuckled nervously, looking at Mall.

“I just stopped time,” she shrugged, “but soon it will move on, and the Earth will disappear. The process has already begun, it is almost impossible to stop it.

You said “almost,” Zarnitsyn immediately latched on to the words. - What do you mean?

Yes, yes, I’m interested too,” Angelica squinted, “my plans have not yet included destroying the planet!”

“I’ll explain now,” Mell sighed heavily. - The principle of operation of the Holy Grail is based on the positive and negative qualities of the person who used the artifact. Only those who are endowed with the power of the Grail can activate true strength. If a person has more negative qualities, then the apocalypse begins and the world perishes. This is exactly what happened at this moment. If a person has more positive qualities, then the world is completely cleansed of evil... which also leads to the apocalypse. In any dimension, balance must be maintained. If one of the parties begins to outweigh the world, then the world perishes. And now the most important thing: there is only one way to stop the apocalypse that has already begun - to destroy the one who used the Grail. In the entire history of the Universe, this has never happened, because the one who called for the apocalypse was alone, and there was simply no one to stop him.

So, I have to die?! - Angelica grinned. - Well, I do not! I promised my father that I would take him home, and I will! Even at the cost of the life of the entire planet!

And you think I'll let you do that? - Mall asked.

Stop! - Runya exclaimed. - What if I use the power of light to start the reverse process? After all, the Grail, as far as I understand, chose instant destruction because of the power of darkness that Angelique possesses, right?

Not really,” Mell shook her head, “rather, the power of darkness became the decisive factor. But overall you're right. I think if she had not had this element, the Apocalypse could have been different...

Here! - Zarnitsyn shouted. - And I have the power of light! So I can turn everything back?!

No you can not! - Melissa shrugged her shoulders irritably. - You will call upon the same apocalypse, only it will take a little longer! And...then I'll have to kill you.

And I, unlike Angelica, will not resist,” Rinat smiled.

I said no! - Mall repeated in an indisputable tone. - I don't want to kill you because I like you. I think I already told you this. Moreover, Angelica deserved to die, and I promised to save you!

In that case, I don't believe there is any other way to stop the apocalypse! - Zarnitsyn said. - Probably, you just don’t know something!

There is, - the girl easily agreed, - to transfer the Grail into the hands of an individual with absolute internal balance. Then the cup will not be able to choose the type of destruction and will remain in a state of rest. And I can simply dispel the already begun apocalypse, because he will not have an additional source that gives him strength.

Don’t you pass for a person with absolute internal balance? - Runya immediately asked.

No,” she shook her head, “I, like Angelica, will cause the end of the world.” Enough talk, it's time to destroy the cause of the apocalypse.

The girl narrowed her eyes slightly and sharply waved her hand, sending another wave of energy into Angelica. Contrary to expectations, Melissa's power did not destroy the girl, only pushed her a few meters away without causing much harm.

This is getting interesting,” Mall grinned.

The same sword, constantly changing its shape, immediately appeared in her hands. Without thinking twice, Angelica also summoned her blade, and the next second the girl felt herself hit in the stomach and, bending over in half, coughed. Mall's movements were unusually fast, Angelica didn't even have time to blink an eye, and Melissa was already next to her opponent and was delivering another blow. How Mell’s strange sword had not yet struck her, the girl did not understand. She only had time to notice that her own blade miraculously managed to deflect the fatal blow.

Realizing that there was no chance in a normal fight, Angelica called upon the power of darkness and tried to attack Melissa with magic. She immediately directed a stream of her unknown energy towards her, repelling the blow. And yet, Angelica felt that fighting with magic would be much easier and, concentrating, accepted the fight.

Zarnitsyn looked blankly at the girls’ battle, trying to figure out how to stop the apocalypse without casualties. He himself did not understand why he needed this. Angelica is the enemy. Her death will finally complete the history of the Gordos, and the world of magicians will finally breathe easy, realizing that the many years of war with Markel will be over. And yet something did not give the guy peace...

“Her unexpected confession? - Rinat thought, - no, hardly. The fact that she did not want to destroy the world does not justify her. She seems to like me, maybe that’s why I want to save her life? That's not it either. In the end, I simply do not have the right to put my personal experiences above the desires of the whole world. Maybe I just feel sorry for her? She lost her father, and before that she was locked on the island. She just wanted to see the world... No, saving the life of an enemy purely out of pity, only to then be stabbed in the back, is also not a reason. But what then?..."

Suddenly the guy understood everything. He wanted to save the girl's life because she was different from her father. Just because she bears his last name doesn't mean she'll follow in his footsteps and try to take over the world. Perhaps if you talk to her and meet her halfway, she will begin to use her powers for good. Nobody except Markel was involved in raising Angelica, which means she sees the world as her father described it to her. If she learns about the real state of things, her worldview will change. After the death of her father, the girl will have no need to continue his work - there will simply be no point. And yet, Angelica’s death will upset the balance of power...

“It remains to understand how to stop the apocalypse without casualties,” Runya thought sadly.

The girls, meanwhile, fought furiously. Angelica was clearly inferior to Mall on all fronts, but stubbornly refused to give up without a fight. Receiving another blow, the girl got up again and went on the attack. Yes... the power of darkness truly has an almost limitless supply.

Once again, two opposing magics collided and, exploding, slightly illuminated the surroundings. Rinat suddenly saw a strange reflection somewhere not far from the fighters. Looking closer, he realized that the Holy Grail lay there.

The decision came instantly, and the guy carefully, along the wall, moved towards the artifact.

"What are you doing?" - the excited voice of Zig, who was still fighting with Angelica’s dragon, which was superior in strength to its other relatives, rang out in his head.

“I’m going to the Grail!” - Rinat answered calmly, carefully moving towards his goal.

“Are you tired of living?! - the phoenix croaked. - Mall made it clear to you that you will only change the appearance of the apocalypse, then you yourself will have to be killed! Stop, idiot!

“I won’t change anything! - Runya waved him off. - Mall said that you need absolute internal balance! I was able to choose two lights at once, which means I am half evil and half good. I simply must have an equal balance!”

“You have the power of light!!! - Zig shouted in despair. “Even if you yourself are balanced, your strength will be the determining factor!”

“Still, I have to try,” Zarnitsyn repeated stubbornly. - Stop talk about this!".

No longer listening to the pet's lamentations, the guy covered the distance to the cup in one jerk. In vain. Mall noticed him.

Do not dare!!! - the girl screamed, sending a wave of magic at Zarnitsyna.

The guy quickly sent an oncoming wave of light, reflecting the blow and, without hesitation for a second, took the artifact in his hands.

A dazzling flash of light, and now new energy flew out from the inside of the Grail into the heavens, gradually corroding the darkness. Like Angelica, Zarnitsyn temporarily disconnected from what was happening. He no longer heard how Mall screamed in rage, how Angelica giggled contentedly, realizing that now her death would not solve anything, how the phoenix grumbled displeasedly, not understanding where his opponent had gone (Angelica called him to her and, while Mall did not see , dragged Markel’s pet onto her back). The light began to slowly flood the surroundings and...suddenly stopped.

“My task is to protect the world,” Runya repeated to himself. - You, damn cup, will not destroy him, just know that! I just won't let you do this! Let's immediately stop all this chaos and return everything to its place! You know as well as I do that the time of this planet has not yet expired! What? How do I know this? Yes, because I’m still alive, which means the world cannot disappear! Oh, am I the boor? Look at yourself! An unfinished piece of iron, but still there, showing off! In short, if you don’t immediately stop your antics, then before I die, I swear, I will turn you into a crooked corkscrew, so that next time it will be discouraging to destroy everything that you didn’t like!!!”

It turned out that the Holy Grail is not just a magical artifact, but also a sentient object. At first, Rinat didn’t understand where the strange voice in his head came from, and when he realized... In general, not even a few minutes had passed, and the Grail could no longer stand the conversation with Zarnitsyn and agreed to postpone the apocalypse for a while.

When Rinat’s gaze became meaningful again, Mell was surprised to discover that the Holy Grail was no longer glowing, but was calmly lying in Zarnitsyn’s hands, like an ordinary cup. Finally, time moved on, but all that remained from the recent black sphere were rays that were still flying in different directions. Not for long. Mall spun around her axis, and her power scattered around the area in a circular wave, absorbing dangerous rays that never had time to become new spheres. Then the girl angrily flashed her eyes towards Rinat.

You...you... - she squeezed out, now blushing, now turning pale.

What? - Runya asked plaintively, making touching eyes.

I'll talk to you later! - the girl turned away, remembering her rival.

However, Angelica was already sitting astride the dragon and managed to conjure a heavy clot of darkness, to which she mixed several deadly spells.

Mall, be careful,” Rinat shouted.

The dark clot with a hiss escaped from Angelica's hands and flew towards Melissa. She quickly created a wave of splitting energy and sent it towards him. Contrary to her expectations, the clot of darkness absorbed the entire wave, becoming even stronger. Zarnitsyn quickly placed a light shield around Mall, who stared blankly at the death flying at her. At the very last moment, when Rinat was already sure that everything would work out, the clot abruptly changed direction and, accelerating, rushed towards Zarnitsyn.

Excalibur flared up brightly, arriving from nowhere to protect its owner. Zig also rushed towards Rinat, covering him with his entire body. And then there was an explosion. A bright flash of light and loud noise Mall was disoriented for a few seconds. When she could see again, Angelica was already quite far away - flying towards the ocean.

In the place where Zarnitsyn stood, a giant crack could be seen leading to the crater of the volcano. Mall, slowly moving her feet, walked to the edge and looked into the interior of the mountain. There was no lava. The Holy Grail lay lonely at the bottom. No Zarnitsyn, no excalibur, no phoenix.

* * *

As time went on, everyone who was in the main square of Siniodus saw a bright flash of light, and then everything became silent. There were several minutes of tense silence, and then there was a deafening roar, and something exploded on the mountain. A black dot appeared in the distance, and then silence again.

What's going on there?! - Olga whined.

“I have a bad feeling,” Riona said gloomily.

It seems that everything is already over,” Firriander said slowly, “only...

What? - Nick asked worriedly.

I no longer feel the energy of light...

What? But... how can this be, rector? - Ornella turned pale. - This means that Rinat...

“He’s dead,” Amadeus said quietly.

As if hit on the head. The teachers were worried, the students were whispering, Riona hid her face in her hands, Nick clenched his fists painfully, Tokotyrkova completely fainted... and only Khitrova sat with her back to everyone, without even moving...

Maybe you're wrong? - after a couple of minutes Riona squeezed out of herself.

Mall promised to save him! - Nick whispered with only his lips.

In her hands shimmered a small sphere, inside of which there was a flower. Withered.

Liarais! - Anna Rualski exclaimed in amazement. - But from where?

When Runka and I were flying for the Seal, we met a certain mountain humrik. These flowers grew there too. We found a pair of flowers. He had one, the second I had. Humrik said that if a flower withers, its owner is dead. I doubt that humrick was lying.

“I didn’t lie,” said Firriand. - If you really found the paired Liarais, then there can be no mistake - Rinat is dead.

But we were the ones who should have died,” said Riona. - If he had not healed us then, he would have destroyed Markel and Angelica. He saved us at the cost of his life...

“We couldn’t protect the light,” Nick muttered. - We couldn’t do what we should have done!

There was no need to listen to this woman,” Olga croaked when she woke up. - We had to go to the volcano and do something!

Khitrova stood up and silently walked towards the castle. She didn't want to listen to anything. You can't change anything anyway. The girl glanced sideways at the mountain and saw Mall slowly walking towards Siniodus with some kind of goblet.

A! She has appeared! - Olga screamed. - You promised that you would save him!

You already know? - Melissa smiled sadly.

Why? - Riona muttered, barely restraining herself from throwing herself at the girl with her fists. - Why couldn’t you? Answer, I'm asking you!

He tried to protect me, but Angelica replayed everything at the last moment, and even this Holy Grail ruined everything... - Mall said confusedly. - I'll tell you everything tomorrow. Now I need to report to my superiors.

“One question,” Khitrova said unexpectedly. - Is Markel dead?

Almost,” the girl answered. - Rinat hit him with a cursed light, they can’t survive after that. Gordos has at least a day left. Angelica, unfortunately, escaped.

“I see,” Sveta said just as quietly. - You can go, we’ll talk in more detail tomorrow.

Mall shuddered at Khitrova’s commanding tone, but she didn’t say anything. She turned silently, motioned for her people to follow her, and soon disappeared.

Olga, Riona and Nick followed Svetka to the partially destroyed castle. The operatives created a portal through which prisoners were taken away, stunned by the news of the owner’s death. The teachers sent the students to their rooms, while they themselves began helping the wounded senior students and searching for the dead. Soon night fell on Siniodus, nature was resting from a difficult evening. Silence. The castle was plunged into darkness. Only one window has a light on. Khitrova sat on the windowsill with her feet up and simply looked at the moon, illuminating the surroundings with a pale silvery light. “Cold… not like Rinat’s…” Svetka suddenly thought. In her hands she held a sphere with withered lyarais. Tears streamed down my cheeks.

How to get a:

To obtain this hidden appearance, you will have to go through a fairly long chain of quests. In addition, you will need level 6 artifact knowledge.

1. Get two books by Nat Pagle:

  • "Advanced Fishing" by Nat Pagle, which can be obtained from the bodies of players in Alterac Valley.
  • A well-thumbed copy of Nat Pagle's Advanced Fishing, found in the Dusty Tome in Dire Maul.

Do not start a quest that starts with the Head of Nefarian, otherwise you will lose this item. In the case of a secret skin, it is important for you to have the head in your inventory.

  1. Make sure you have reached Artifact Knowledge Level 6.
  2. Talk to Sister Elda with both parts of Nat Pagle's book in your inventory - she will give you a Complete Copy of Nat Pagle's Advanced Fishing.
  3. Talk to Prince Thortheldrin in the western wing of Dire Maul with the new book and Nefarian's Head in your inventory.

Don't touch anyone in Dire Maul, especially the bosses.

  1. Speak with Alexia Ironknife at Chillwind Camp in the Western Plaguelands (Alliance) or Bardu True Eye at the Bastion in Tirisfal Glades (Horde).
  2. Read Grand Inquisitor Isillien's Journal at Hearthglen in the Western Plaguelands.
  3. Next is the difficult part - you need to destroy the Big Evil Slime, the respawn time of which can reach 30 hours (it is believed that it is 16 hours). This time depends on the phase and the server, so it is impossible to predict the appearance of mucus.
  4. The item Talisman of Timolean will fall out of the mucus, using which you will see, in fact, Timoleon the Damned himself. Talk to him and move on to the next stage.
  5. 10. Time to catch the Shard of Darkness in the Tondraril River. You can catch it anywhere in the river; no improvements to your fishing skill have any effect on the chance of catching it. Some received the coveted fragment after 100 casts of the fishing rod, while others needed several thousand - it all depends on luck.

He infiltrated the ranks of the order and disrupted the ceremony. A terrifying magical explosion damaged the staff, and from then on its enormous power was almost impossible to control. Although a few brave souls tried to use the Fury of Light, it caused destruction. The Kirin Tor decided to hide the artifact to avoid disaster and handed it over to the blue dragonflight for safekeeping, who placed the staff in the Nexus Vault.

When a new Burning Legion invasion began through the Broken Isles, the priests became interested in the artifact. The hero, guided by Alonsius Faol, decided to take possession of the staff and harness its powers. He made his way into the Nexus Vault with the help of dragons, despite the Ethereals, who had taken over the place and used it for their own purposes. The hero managed to hold back the enormous forces of the Fury of Light, and he became the new owner of the staff. The artifact was used by the priests of the Conclave to cleanse the naaru of the Netherlight Temple from the energy of the Abyss.

Receipt

The source of information in this section is the supplement Legion to World of Warcraft.

After listening to Alonsius Faol's proposals, the future head of the order of priests decided that his key artifact would be the Fury of Light, once created by the Scarlet Crusade and hidden by the mages of the Kirin Tor. Faol warned that the staff contained great power, which could be the death of the owner, but the hero was confident in himself. Since it was known that the Kirin Tor had given the staff to the blue dragonflight, Faol suggested seeking help from Kalec, one of the Council of Six in Dalaran. The hero went to the Violet Citadel and spoke with Kalec.

The Archmage was surprised to learn about the search for the Fury of Light, but still said that the blue dragons placed the staff in the only place where its unbridled power would not be unleashed - the Nexus Vault. Kalec had not been there for a long time. After the blue dragonflight was almost wiped out, the Nexus was abandoned. It was difficult to say whether the Nexus Vault survived and what the hero might encounter in the Nexus itself.

Kalec warned that the hero should be well prepared if he was going to visit the Nexus. Strange things were happening in Coldarra, and it was necessary to find out everything before moving on. The last time Kalec was in Dragonblight, he felt unusual energy vibrations emanating from the Lapis Lazuli Dragonshrine. This place was directly linked to Malygos' plans during the Nexus War, and what was currently happening there could be the reason for the current state of the Nexus. Kalec could not go there, but gave the hero a special crystal through which he could communicate.

Lapis Lazuli Sanctuary

The hero used the Dalaran portal, which transported him to the Temple of Wyrmrest, from where he could quickly get to the Lapis Lazuli Sanctuary. Arriving there, the hero discovered angry creatures of the Abyss who were walking next to streams of energy in the center of the sanctuary. There were also many corpses on the territory that belonged to magicians, and the hero, having examined them, drew attention to a special blade. Kalec projection, summoned by the crystal, reported that this weapon is charged with the energy of the Twisting Nether. It seems its previous owner wanted to harness the power of the Void.

A strange portal was also found in the sanctum, and Kalec commented that it was similar to the Ethereal portals in Outland. Perhaps they were connected to what was happening. A Void energy conduit was attached to the center of the sanctuary's ley lines, which was fed by the Void energy from the ley lines of Azeroth directed by Malygos into the Twisting Nether. This technology also belonged to the Ethereals.

Continuing the investigation, the hero found the ethereal intercom, which finally confirmed their presence. Kalec suggested using the device. The hero, having examined the device, was convinced that it was still full of energy and had been abandoned relatively recently. There was a switch nearby, the activation of which caused the illusion of an ethereal to appear above the intercom. It was Prince Bilaal, who belonged to the Ethereal brotherhood, and Kalec realized that it was this group of Ethereals that had taken over the Nexus. They intended to expand the window into the Twisting Nether, which was a serious threat to all of Azeroth. Kalec asked the hero not only to find the lost weapon, but also to thwart the plans of the brotherhood.

Coldarra

The hero traveled to Coldarra and approached the Nexus Spire, following Kalec's instructions. The Supreme Mage, who remained in contact, did not know what the ethereals were up to, but it was obvious that a lot of Void energy was being produced here. Malygos' breakwaters were used for this purpose, and Kalec asked to inspect one of them. Near the nearest wavebreaker, the hero encountered an ethereal and, when it attacked, destroyed it. Kalec, having checked the condition of the breakwater, confirmed that the Ethereum brotherhood had adapted these devices to draw the energy of the Abyss. The same energy powered the barrier around the Nexus, and the Archmage asked to inspect the base. As the hero approached the entrance to the Nexus, Kalec stated that the vault had been weakened. The energy of the staff was rushing out, and this could be used.

According to the magician’s plan, it was necessary to pacify the unstable energy of Light and direct it into the wave-catchers to cause a violent reaction. The hero has absorbed a large amount of Light energy, defeating the creatures of Light or absorbing it from energy rifts at the base of the Nexus. Now, using energy, it was possible to destroy the wave-catchers by filling them with the power of the Fury of Light. The violent reaction between the two types of energy actually allowed the hero to destroy the western, eastern and northern breakwaters. Although the ethereals tried to stop him, the hero defeated them.

Having broken the last breakwater, the hero heard a voice claiming that there was no more shadow. Kalec explained that Azerugos was freed from the ethereal trap and returned to the Nexus for artifacts. The capture of Azuregos meant that the Ethereum Brotherhood was much stronger than Kalec thought. Despite the differences between the two dragons, Kalec asked to find Azeregos and make sure he was free. After the destruction of the wave-catchers, the shield protecting the Nexus dissipated, and the hero was able to enter there. Kalec warned that he would no longer be able to use the crystal to communicate because the unstable energy was interfering with its operation. He wished good luck and clarified that the entrance to the Nexus Vault was on the lowest level.

Nexus

When the hero entered the Nexus, he saw in the next room the deprived Azerugos, who was bound by the energy of the Abyss. The dragon was surprised that an ordinary mortal managed to break through the ethereals' defenses. When the hero destroyed the ethereals guarding the dragon, Azeregos realized that they were on the same side. The hero healed him using his abilities, and the dragon rose to his feet. Having learned that it was necessary to break into the Vault, Azuregos promised that he would find a way if the hero helped him get into the library. He took on the form of a blood elf, which was more convenient for moving through the corridors of the Nexus.

As they made their way to the library, Azuregos noticed that the Fury of Light was rushing to freedom. It was a powerful and unpredictable artifact that could strike them at the most inopportune moment. In the Hall of Peace, even the floor was red-hot, and creatures of Light roamed around, destroying the ethereals. Finally they entered the library, where runes flickered in the air. Azuregov, having studied them, stated that the entrance to the Vault was destroyed during the Nexus War. But it was still possible to get there, since the energy of the Warehouse was still felt. Azuregos suddenly felt a huge surge of Light magic, and another creation appeared in front of him and the hero, blazing with the flame of justice. The hero subdued the elemental using his skills and forced it to extinguish itself.

The artifact's energy continued to rage and could destroy the entire Nexus if it was not pacified. Azuregos and the hero hurried to the Rift, which remained the only path to the Vault. The Ethereals blocked their path, but the priest and the dragon dealt with them. In the Rift, it was discovered that the bridge that allowed movement here had been destroyed. The hero heard the cry of Prince Bilial, declaring that the brotherhood could not be stopped, despite the destruction of the breakwaters. The power of the Fury of Light made it possible to expand the gap into the Twisting Nether.

Azuregos turned into a dragon and carried the hero to a group of ethereals who were performing a ritual over the prince. The ritual was completed on time, and Bilial turned into a monstrous creature of the Abyss. Azuregos lost too much strength, so the entire burden of the battle fell on the shoulders of the hero. Although Bilial called upon the magic of the Abyss and drew strength from the rifts, the hero was able to destroy him. Overjoyed, Azuregos again took on the appearance of an elf and said that he could open a portal and maintain a portal to the Vault.

Entering the Vault, the hero saw that the pedestal on which the staff was located was blazing with fire. He had to use his skills to subjugate the staff to his will and curb the fiery energies of Light. When the priest finally took the Fury of Light into his hands, Azuregos announced that the energy of the Vault had stabilized. The dragon was impressed: he had not yet met priests capable of harnessing this artifact. He thanked the hero for his freedom and promised that he would devote himself to protecting the Nexus so that power over the magical fortress would no longer fall into the wrong hands. Azuregos created a portal that was supposed to take the hero to Kalecgos, and asked him to say hello to him. Once in Dalaran, the owner of the staff spoke with Kalec and listened to his gratitude. It was time to return to the other priests to start creating

Obedience - Fury of Light

In an effort to cleanse Azeroth of the undead, the Scarlet Crusade attempted to create a second Ashbringer in the form of a staff. But the Lord of Terror, having penetrated the ranks of the order, prevented him, causing a terrifying magical explosion. Since then, the power of the damaged staff has been almost impossible to control. A few brave souls tried to use it, but it provoked further destruction, and the mages of the Kirin Tor decided to hide it to avoid disaster.

Light - T "uure, the light of the Naaru

Creatures of pure Light, the benevolent naaru saved the draenei from their home world, when most of them turned into minions of the Burning Legion. The demons almost destroyed the last fugitives, but the naaru protected them with the help of this beacon crystal. T'uure emits a healing radiance of Light that heals terrible wounds and returns to life. At some point, the crystal fell into the hands of the Legion in a war-torn world. It has not been seen since.

Darkness - Xal'atat, blade of the Dark Empire

Long ago, this terrifying dagger was created from the claw ancient god, and priests used it for ritual sacrifices during the heyday of the Black Empire. After the overthrow of the ancient gods, the cultists hid Xal'atat. For centuries, it appeared from time to time in terrible rites or disasters. The blade has its own will: using the energy of the Abyss and influencing the minds of people, it maliciously distorts everything around it.

Meet with Kalec at the Violet Citadel in Dalaran.

Description

Fury of Light... a bold choice. However, such a weapon can turn the tide of this war... of course, if you manage to curb its power. Finding this staff won't be easy. The Kirin Tor mages gave it to the blue dragons so that they could hide the artifact in a safe place, away from people. Only they know where these weapons are now and how they can get them. I think it's best to contact the dragon Kalec, one of the Council of Six. Find him in Dalaran. and maybe you will get answers to your questions.

So are you looking for the Fury of Light? Dangerous, very dangerous weapon.

Long ago, the mages of the Kirin Tor entrusted its custody to the blue dragons. The staff was placed in the only place where its unbridled power would not be unleashed - the Nexus vault.

However, I haven't been there for a long time. After the blue dragonflight was almost wiped out, the Nexus was abandoned. So now no one knows whether the Nexus storage has survived and what can await you in the Nexus itself.
